We stopped by Congee Wong on a Sunday morning after wandering around downtown and it turned out to be the perfect breakfast spot for two retirees who like to sightsee first and eat second. The century egg and pork congee arrived steaming hot with just the right silky texture, and my husband still talks about the fried dough sticks he dunked in his bowl. Grabbed a window seat Saturday afternoon and the congee with century egg and pork completely won me over, so warm and comforting. The staff kept checking in without being pushy, even though the place was packed with a decent wait. Portions are generous for the price, and the fried dough sticks alongside the congee were the perfect crunchy contrast. Already thinking about going back next weekend to try the seafood version.
Big portion. Plenty of parking but fairy busy parking lot. Service is good.
