My husband and I have been enthusiastic patrons for many years. He is partial to their Linguine Pascatore where I do enjoy many dishes, but am partial to their Penne alla Vodka. It’s always our go to restaurant when we just want a quiet evening out for dinner. Dishes are fabulous, prices are reasonable! Espresso perfect! I highly recommend Farro!“

“First time visiting this location after being a frequent patron of their North York spot. The menu is quite expansive, but we went with the burgers, which were juicy, flavourful, and definitely hit the spot. From first arriving, the hostess took the time to offer a complimentary champagne glass and inquire if our visit that day was for a special occasion. It was a reunion and she graciously followed up with pleasant comments establishing a charming mood. When the waitress came to greet us, she also took the time to find out more about the nature of our reunion and only then flawlessly delved into the menu. I understand this is common practice at luxury restaurants; however, I would contend that, although there are dining establishments that treat patrons similarly, it is not simply about what you do but, rather, how well you do it. And this is the reason I am taking the time to write this review: JOEY does it very well. Having frequented several luxury restaurants in downtown Toronto I can anecdotally share with you that there have been far too many occasions when the host and/or server left a poor impression. Whether it is conceited complacency in their brand or even our own bigotry of unrealistic expectations, there seldom is a meeting point of both food, service, and overall impression. The treatment at JOEY was so genuine that it left an indelible impression. Each interaction with the server and hostess throughout complemented our dining experience. We were then surprised with dessert on the house presented on an expansive serving plate with the words “Happy Reunion!” written in caramel. Delicious, delicious caramel. Mmmm, but I digress… Over the years I have written to restaurants far more complaints than compliments and, in retrospect, this is unfair. It takes a team and a culture to create this magic and it can be quite challenging to get it right. When it comes together as well as it did on our visit, it is the sort of joy that can accompany you throughout your day. At JOEY they seem to have captured the right formula and I look forward to returning and catching up with “good friends” that understand that going out to eat today is about so much more.“

“My husband and I were on our honeymoon last week and decided to try The Burgers Priest. We were so blessed to be served by a man named Steven. Not only was he super friendly and patient while we tried to decide what we wanted...but once he found out we were on our honeymoon he went out of his way to make us feel at home. He was happy to hear that people are still willing to take honeymoons and to see true love. I swear he was the friendliest person we met and he blessed us so much this visit. “I visited last night, I had a wonderful experience. The cashier seemed new, but she was so kind, polite, and attentive. I noticed her checking on another family’s meal and even wishing someone a happy birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. She remained calm and professional while helping customers, and it was clear that she cared about providing good service.

“You need to come here for Korean Fried Chicken. The chicken is saucy, flavourful, juicy, and above all, crispy. I find a lot of spots fail to hit the crispy mark after being drenched in sauce but here, they really hit the mark!

We also ordered the Rose Rice Cakes and Fish Cake Soup. That rice cake is SPICY but some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s sweet, savoury, and cheesy. The fish cake soup is a classic comforting dish.“

“Absolutely my new fav for Thai food takeout. Absolutely delicious and flavourful. The one thing we keep saying when we took it home and opened is how GOOD it smells. All the ingredients veggies they put in really gives you deep flavour profiles, you can tell they put a lot efforts to make the dish.

I would say it wins MANY Toronto popular Thai places like PAI. Price is much better and food is much more flavour. The crispy pork was AMAZING.

It’s not really a dine-in location but you certainly can eat at their cute booth. The staff/chefs are super friendly and nice, gives you a street food style but certainly has space to sit in the winter if you wanna grab a quick bite.

I would definitely come back and try different stuffs! So good.
