Our server Manpreet made great suggestions and we were delighted to find new favourites,

I really like the Chana Masala (chickpea) but wanted to switch it up, Manpreet suggested the Samosa Chana to start which we thoughohly enjoyed.

For our mains we shared, Malai Kofta and the Lamb Vindaloo 10/10.

Rice and Garlic Naan as well.

“Truly one of the most fun meals I've ever had! Gully's take on contemporary Indian food has me wanting to come back again and again (and next time we are in Toronto, we will be back!). My bachelor party group was visiting Toronto from the US and we had pre-booked a table for 18, which the staff handled well. Our group ordered many different dishes and I got to try about 10 different things. Every single dish was incredible! We also enjoyed all the unique cocktails and ordered multiple rounds. When the bartender found out my partner and I were both there, he did a fun shot with us. Our whole group had the best time and I thank Gully for making our big group dinner of the trip one that I'll never forget. We felt so welcomed and the food and drink were top notch. “Absolutely delicious authentic indian food! You can tell this restaurant gets the best ingredients and puts in the effort in their spices. We went around 6 people, great and convenient location, just 5 min walk from Bloor and Yonge Station. We ordered Samosa Chat, Cheese Nan and Chicken Tikka Masala from the appetizer and had Lababdar and Special Butter Chicken in the main course. I must say, the food was so delicious, I am in love with Chicken Tikka Masala. The service was also nice, Will definitely go again.“

“I happened to discover Maurya East Indian Roti, a hidden little gem tucked away in a quiet corner. Once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful patio outside and a cozy, relaxing atmosphere indoors. The staff are always warm, friendly, and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience.

I tried their Butter Chicken Combo, and despite the restaurant's tucked-away location, the food is anything but low-key. It's always rich, fragrant, and incredibly inviting. Every time you walk past the restaurant, you can smell the delicious aroma. The portions are generous as well. If you order a roti on its own, you'll be amazed by how huge it is!

If you're really hungry and looking for a hearty, satisfying meal, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. I especially recommend the Butter Chicken Combo. Besides the flavorful garlic roti and rice, it also comes with a sweet little dessert that finishes the meal perfectly.

“Delicious food here. But the service is GOD Awful!!! The waiting time is anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes from the time you order. Be sure to check your food before leaving countless times you get something else or missing items. The food here is good not gonna lie there. But the service staff are either slow or let you wait there very long. If they said it's gonna take 10 minutes that's a LIE your waiting close to 40 mins. Would order again here but knowing the times is best. This is my experience from the last 10x I've been here. Lots of uber drivers there waiting and swearing it's fun to watch.“

“As someone who spent years in Delhi, I’ve always had high standards when it comes to street food, especially momos. I was just passing by this restaurant in Toronto when I noticed momos on the menu and decided to try it out of curiosity. Honestly, the experience went far beyond my imagination.

I ordered the tandoori momos and shawarma, and both were absolutely incredible. The momos were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, with that smoky tandoori taste done just right. The chutney brought back memories of Delhi street food instantly. The shawarma was equally impressive — fresh, juicy, well-seasoned, and packed generously.

You can genuinely feel the passion and quality in the food here. It’s rare to randomly walk into a place and end up this impressed. Definitely one of the most unexpectedly satisfying food experiences I’ve had in Toronto. Highly recommended!“

“The food here is authentic delicious and was served very warmly by Vicky Sharma. Highly recommend to people who like spicy sambhar. We got the lamb biryani, chicken 65 and chicken dosa. The meat to rice portion was balanced in the biryani. The rice was perfectly seasoned. Chicken dosa was warm and soft with a crispy chicken layer. The amount of chicken on the dosa was generous. Overall this place know ls how to season food and provide generous meat portions and the service is warm and friendly. Definitely returning to this place again.“

“Myself and 3 friends just tried Kadak for their Summerlicious Menus and we were extremely pleased with our choice! Their 3 course menu had lovely options and the server (owner?) asked if we would like to share so we could try more dishes and it was a great idea. All dishes were put in the middle of the table. We loved everything! It's the best Indian food I've had and the others in our party agreed. It's definitely worth a try and we will be back!“

“Great service; cozy restaurant. Tasty food - we ordered the usual butter chicken & lamb Briyani for two which did not disappoint. We also had the chicken taco as an appetizer.

Food was great overall; everything was super hot and fresh. Presentation was good; the restaurant likes to use a lot of dry ice for cocktail presentation. Not sure if that is justified for the price of the cocktail though; $25 for a cocktail seemed a bit steeper than most restaurants around $18-$22.

We were a bit disappointed by the cheesecake. Nonetheless, worth trying once, we had a good time.“

“First time dining here and we highly recommend it for the delicious food and friendly service. The vegetarian mushroom patties were unique but full of flavour and the masala rice was fragrant. The tandoor chicken was juicy and fully marinated with lots of spices and flavours and their garlic naan was not too thick and very crispy. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and were well presented!“

“My husband and I often visit Caffe Maurya, and it has become one of our favourite places in the neighbourhood. The food is always delicious, flavourful, and very filling. We especially enjoy the biryani and curries, and the portions are so generous that one serving is often enough for both of us.
Everything is freshly prepared and packed with flavour. We also love finishing our meal with gulab jamun, one of our favourite desserts, and the masala fries are absolutely amazing.
