“while the atmosphere and dining experience are about as average as it gets (minus the lack of AC in the summer), the service is usually on point (always see only one guy working but he always does well) and the food itself is always very good, especially for the price, best if you split a larger deal or meal with friends or family, it's more worth it. the food makes it worth it if you're in the area, but be prepared cause it might take some time. Fully Halal too.“

“He was doing renovations a couple of months ago..I was expecting dine in tables, but it remained the same with a couple of chairs and a shelf by the window.

The chef is only in Canada for a year, so I highly recommend that if you want delicious authentic Pakistani food, that you make it a point to visit before that... because this chef from Lahore doesn't disappoint.

You can dine in with a real plate instead of using take out containers.

If you're white and you like a dumbed down version of 'Indian' food...don't come here and complain.“

“The Beef Kebab is amazing, very tasty and doesn't smell. Chicken Shawarma plates are awesome, very delicious. Veggies Samosa is a great as well (it comes in 3 pieces per order, fresh). Lentils soup so yummy. Good place to go for lunch, and reasonable prices.“

Juicy without being greasy or dry.

The rice is fine, nothing particularly memorable, just doing its job in the background.

Skipped the white sauce this time and went with the hot sauce only.
Big mistake 😭

One bite instantly transported me back to my first visit in New York, when I confidently poured the whole packet over my platter without thinking… then ended up standing on the sidewalk with tears in my eyes.

Asked for extra lettuce this time.
The portion is generous enough for one person, and if you have a smaller appetite, two people could easily share it.“

“I finally was able to attend UMI's Kitchen after so many attempts by UBER and DoorDash as it always says unavailable. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. I thought it was located more east on Dundas but it's actually near Dundas and Sherbourne. Toronto has tried to revive the neighborhood but, it has the same energy. I was lucky as parking is street parking so expect to park and run in to get your order. It looked closed when I got out and the door is not new but, I got in. It isn't a big place but the lady who got my order was pleasant. I ordered a small Oxtail (not cheap no more), side bbq chicken, 1 veggie and 1 beef patty, small chicken soup (good), Pineapple soda. I thought the salad would be handled but no salad like no coleslaw! I was like wow. The food is good. I really enjoyed the veggie patty wish I had gotten three of them. The bbq chicken was nice. Not hot but, it was a great add to my Oxtail meal. I was glad I finally could say I gave this place a try. I am sure others will attend. The area isn't the most desired place to attend but, it's about the food which for this day was my goal.“

During my visit there was a Huge Line for that Free Chicken and I ordered the Reaper Sandwich which is made with Carolina Reaper Pepper and yes it sure is Spicy! Believe it or Not I ate the sandwich without having anything to drink and I sure felt like a Dragon On Fire Afterwards! Lol. Furthermore, in order to get your sandwich, You had to register on TikTok or Instagram and I did it through TikTok in which I recently opened up my account just to get the Hot Chicken Sandwich! “My friends always offered me to take here, but for some reason it’s always after 10 or 11pm, which definitely is not my time😅. Anyway, I decided one weekend to give it a try, with all that hype and crowd surrounding it. We waiting quite a bit for a table, since we were around 8 persons. We got aloo, egg and chicken parathas. All were pretty amazing. Aloo one was definitely my favorite. Chicken was okay, just a little dry for my liking.
Beef nihari was delicious and so was the chicken tikka masala. The ones that stole the show were the daal and Chana. Perfect, reminded me of my Pakistani breakfasts in Saudi.
Not the cleanest of the places, hard to find parkings, need to wait for the tables, but regardless worth the food, especially perfect with your gang.“

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon. Fast service. Hot food. Lots of tables available for dinner service. Ordered Goat Dhalpuri wrap. Meat was very tender, but could have used a little more spice. A little pricey compared to other roti shops, but would definitely try out other items there again.“

The deal was for National Shawarma Day, Oct 15th and it was a moderate line up at lunch time at the Bloor St. and Sherbourne Ave. location.

I had to wait a long time because two people in front of me ordered 4 and 6 shawarmas! But they looked good. Unfortunately the portion of my shawarma box felt small in comparison to other box deals at other shawarma places. Still glad I got it!

The place had several tables to dine in and I liked the big front windows. I also loved that they had their own spring water bottles! So only criticism was service was slow and portions were small. But it was $5!“
