“I’ve been to Pita Land many times, and every time the food and service have been great. Their chicken shawarma and beef shawarma are both very good and always fresh and tasty. Hojjat and Karima are very nice people and they serve customers very well. They are friendly, respectful, and make you feel welcome. I definitely recommend this place.“

We had the Crispy Feta Rolls to start as an appetizer and the pastry was flaky and nice. There are a lot of choices for apps but we did not want to fill up. We had the Iskender dinner (wonderful marinated beef) and the Chicken Curry. They were both heartily enjoyed. They have an outdoor patio that seems like it would be nice to sit at in nice weather and enjoy the buzz of The Danforth. Service was attentive. As I mentioned, the portions are quite ample, the prices are more than reasonable so make sure you bring your appetite.“

“Am coming here from last 2 years just for the spicy fried uygar noodles and chicken kebab skewers. Always getting great service from Khush. She never disappoints us. Everytime chicken taste delicious but this time chicken taste was not upto the mark. I guess they changed the meat or chef or may be the recipe. Kebab peices were very big. Not cooked inside, no taste inside, no flavour, no juicy. It never happened before. Noodles were good as usual. Will come again once the resolves this kebab issue.“

“I recently visited The Halal Guys with my friends Jot and Balrak, and overall it was a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and lived up to the hype. The chicken and gyro platter was perfectly cooked, and the white sauce really made everything taste even better.

Jot especially liked the portion size—it’s definitely filling and worth the price. Balrak mentioned that the spice level was just right, not too overwhelming but still had a nice kick.

The service was quick, and the staff were friendly, even during a busy time. The place itself was clean, though seating can get a bit tight when it’s crowded.

“I got this a couple of times back In June and omg the biryani was so delicious rich and aromatic, the spices were great and everything just came together so well. The chicken is well seasoned and was so tender it was falling off the bone.I forgot what I got on top but It made the biryani a 11/10. I truly recommend this place but the atmosphere was a little awkward 🤭.“

During my visit there was a Huge Line for that Free Chicken and I ordered the Reaper Sandwich which is made with Carolina Reaper Pepper and yes it sure is Spicy! Believe it or Not I ate the sandwich without having anything to drink and I sure felt like a Dragon On Fire Afterwards! Lol. Furthermore, in order to get your sandwich, You had to register on TikTok or Instagram and I did it through TikTok in which I recently opened up my account just to get the Hot Chicken Sandwich! “I finally was able to attend UMI's Kitchen after so many attempts by UBER and DoorDash as it always says unavailable. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. I thought it was located more east on Dundas but it's actually near Dundas and Sherbourne. Toronto has tried to revive the neighborhood but, it has the same energy. I was lucky as parking is street parking so expect to park and run in to get your order. It looked closed when I got out and the door is not new but, I got in. It isn't a big place but the lady who got my order was pleasant. I ordered a small Oxtail (not cheap no more), side bbq chicken, 1 veggie and 1 beef patty, small chicken soup (good), Pineapple soda. I thought the salad would be handled but no salad like no coleslaw! I was like wow. The food is good. I really enjoyed the veggie patty wish I had gotten three of them. The bbq chicken was nice. Not hot but, it was a great add to my Oxtail meal. I was glad I finally could say I gave this place a try. I am sure others will attend. The area isn't the most desired place to attend but, it's about the food which for this day was my goal.“
