The owners graciously offered me a take out plate of homemade curry noodles and chicken, and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I could immediately tell it was made with care and authentic family recipes. It’s a small, unassuming restaurant tucked into the corner of a plaza, but it’s run by genuinely kind people who clearly care about their customers. “We hosted a birthday party, let me tell you she set up the room unbelievable. The balloons, color, and the wall everything looks so professionally done. I think she did better then the idea we have in our mind. Food was great, service was phenomenal. They let us stay hour and half over the time. We give her fifteen out of ten. “First time going here for a quick bite and was amazed by the flavour and quality of dough.

It was around 6:00, I got the jerk chicken slice and it had a perfectly crisp undercarriage, barely any flop with soft interior. The pizza crust to toppings ratios was spot on (even though I prefer thin slices). The atmosphere isn’t the best, a small pizza shop, but luckily you aren’t eating atmosphere, it’s the quality of food that matters.

We got a problem though….

I now HAVE to come back for more delicious slices.

“Last night, I had the pleasure of arranging a dinner for my former colleagues from Unilever Pakistan. There were about 40 of us, and I’ve had the privilege of organizing these gatherings for a few years now, each time at a different restaurant. This time, we met at Charsi Karhai, and I have to say, it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. This isn’t just my opinion; everyone who attended had glowing feedback. Here’s why: • Prayer arrangements: Since our dinner was scheduled for 7 pm, around maghrib, many of us wanted to offer prayers. The restaurant already had a decent arrangement in place, which was very thoughtful. • Personalized menu: Gill, the restaurant manager, coordinated with me to fine-tune the menu to our liking. We went back and forth with texts and calls to ensure everything was just right, and I really appreciated the effort. Both Gill and his team member, Bipsha, were extremely helpful throughout. • Private space: Half of the restaurant was allocated to us with a partition set up. This allowed us to have our own space, which gave everyone the chance to mingle freely. It was such a refreshing change from our usual restaurant experiences, where we’d end up seated at separate tables with limited interaction. • Delicious food: The food, as always, was outstanding. We ordered Chicken Karhai, Goat Karhai, Tawa Keema, Bihari Kebab, and Palak Daal. Midway through dinner, Gill suggested adding Kheer for dessert, which was a hit with everyone. We also included tea, which wasn’t in our original plan, but it made the evening even better. • Buffet style: The food was served buffet-style, which made everything so much smoother. There was no clutter on the tables, and everyone could help themselves, ensuring nothing went to waste. It also encouraged people to move around and connect with others, which really added to the warm and social atmosphere. • Excellent service: The service was top-notch. Bipsha and the team were very professional and patient, especially considering the size of our group. • Reasonable prices: The food was priced quite reasonably, especially considering all the extra touches that made the evening so special. • Personal touch: During the dinner, the restaurant owner, Jamshed, came by to check on us. He personally spoke with me to ensure everything was going smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to enhance our experience. It was a lovely gesture. One thing I discovered about Charsi Karhai is that they offer a customizable buffet for larger groups, which is quite unique compared to other restaurants. You get to choose the dishes you want rather than sticking to a fixed menu, which I thought was a great option. I know this may sound like I’m promoting Charsi Karhai, but I genuinely mean every word. “We recently had the pleasure of discovering this gem of a restaurant, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! After just one bite, we were all blown away, absolutely scrumptious! The flavors transport you straight to Dubai with their authentic Yemeni dishes. We indulged in both the lamb and chicken, and each was a culinary masterpiece. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. To top it all off, the customer service was exceptional. “as a pakistani i never tried somali food but i have to tell you this place has some of the best goat i have ever tried, you dont need any sauce anything for their meat, its flavourful salty and just really good in general. its super soft aswell, its like a better tastier fattier version of brisket. the goat is the best option. for food like that in toronto it would be like 50$ a plate, yet there its like 20-24$ max. atmosphere is decent depends on what day you go/times ive went twice the one at night. The night is more packed and nice, but its a calm collected atmosphere. Service was alright the workers are nice and professional.“
