“Last night, I had the pleasure of arranging a dinner for my former colleagues from Unilever Pakistan. There were about 40 of us, and I’ve had the privilege of organizing these gatherings for a few years now, each time at a different restaurant. This time, we met at Charsi Karhai, and I have to say, it was truly one of the best experiences we've had. This isn’t just my opinion; everyone who attended had glowing feedback. Here’s why: • Prayer arrangements: Since our dinner was scheduled for 7 pm, around maghrib, many of us wanted to offer prayers. The restaurant already had a decent arrangement in place, which was very thoughtful. • Personalized menu: Gill, the restaurant manager, coordinated with me to fine-tune the menu to our liking. We went back and forth with texts and calls to ensure everything was just right, and I really appreciated the effort. Both Gill and his team member, Bipsha, were extremely helpful throughout. • Private space: Half of the restaurant was allocated to us with a partition set up. This allowed us to have our own space, which gave everyone the chance to mingle freely. It was such a refreshing change from our usual restaurant experiences, where we’d end up seated at separate tables with limited interaction. • Delicious food: The food, as always, was outstanding. We ordered Chicken Karhai, Goat Karhai, Tawa Keema, Bihari Kebab, and Palak Daal. Midway through dinner, Gill suggested adding Kheer for dessert, which was a hit with everyone. We also included tea, which wasn’t in our original plan, but it made the evening even better. • Buffet style: The food was served buffet-style, which made everything so much smoother. There was no clutter on the tables, and everyone could help themselves, ensuring nothing went to waste. It also encouraged people to move around and connect with others, which really added to the warm and social atmosphere. • Excellent service: The service was top-notch. Bipsha and the team were very professional and patient, especially considering the size of our group. • Reasonable prices: The food was priced quite reasonably, especially considering all the extra touches that made the evening so special. • Personal touch: During the dinner, the restaurant owner, Jamshed, came by to check on us. He personally spoke with me to ensure everything was going smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to enhance our experience. It was a lovely gesture. One thing I discovered about Charsi Karhai is that they offer a customizable buffet for larger groups, which is quite unique compared to other restaurants. You get to choose the dishes you want rather than sticking to a fixed menu, which I thought was a great option. I know this may sound like I’m promoting Charsi Karhai, but I genuinely mean every word. “We recently had the pleasure of discovering this gem of a restaurant, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! After just one bite, we were all blown away, absolutely scrumptious! The flavors transport you straight to Dubai with their authentic Yemeni dishes. We indulged in both the lamb and chicken, and each was a culinary masterpiece. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. To top it all off, the customer service was exceptional. As we were finishing our meal, a staff member approached our table to gather feedback and check if we wanted to order more. I can confidently say that this is the best Mandi I’ve ever had. “I cannot believe it took me this long to finally try out Potato Bar in Hamilton, Ontario! The amount of menu options is insane! Definitely have to go back and try their tater tots & other potato options they offer! If you’re ever in the Hamilton area I highly recommend trying Potato Bar!“

The couple who own it are amazing, so welcoming and have a real passion foe what they do.

When we turned up they weren't even open yet, I apologized and the lovely lady insisted we stay as she never likes to say no to customers.

There was a small mix-up where my second order from Uber Eats was forgotten, but when I mentioned it, the staff member apologized sincerely and fixed the mistake right away. Even though he looked very tired, he remained humble, polite, and professional throughout.

“Hey Toronto friends, if you're looking to try some real Turkish cuisine, you've got to check out Mama Fatma! This place is a treasure for the most authentic Turkish flavors in the city. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and welcoming. It's like you're stepping into a home in Turkey. The staff are super friendly and really know their stuff when it comes to the food. And speaking of the food... the 'Shashlik' was amazing! Perfectly spiced and every bite felt like a taste of Turkish street food. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality you get. “as a pakistani i never tried somali food but i have to tell you this place has some of the best goat i have ever tried, you dont need any sauce anything for their meat, its flavourful salty and just really good in general. its super soft aswell, its like a better tastier fattier version of brisket. the goat is the best option. for food like that in toronto it would be like 50$ a plate, yet there its like 20-24$ max. atmosphere is decent depends on what day you go/times ive went twice the one at night. The night is more packed and nice, but its a calm collected atmosphere. Service was alright the workers are nice and professional.“

The portions were spot on for the price and quality, definitely a great value compared to other similar places. I had a tiring day and decided fine, I’ll just “settle” for a burger even if I was craving biriyani. I ordered the desi burger, and oh. my. god. Soooo good! I’ve never had a burger that tasted like that, and it was easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had many! Will definitely be back to this family owned business.
