“We searched for Halal food while visiting the area, burger were juicy, fries are crispy , fresh, he is generous in portions.
Lots of customers in such a quite area. Music was high , but that was for us as older generation, It didn't bother my kids nor the youth costumers in the place.“

“After going to their yonge and weldrick location for many many years, I happened to be in north Richmond hill (yonge and king road) and saw this other location! What can I say, very friendly welcoming service, clean organized interior and very fresh quality meat. Prices are average compared to the other 500+ kabob restaurants in this area but Taftan seems to stand out simply because of their reputation and large portion sizes. Today I got the barg (filet mignon beef) combo with rice and a side order of a chicken leg skewer. And hey they even threw in free cans of pop, lots of butter packets for the rice, packets of sumac (that tangy but distinct middle eastern red spice), and a pita bread! I’ll be sure to return again.“

“Delicious food. I ordered a chicken wrap and it was delicious especially with the spicy red sauce (salsa?) but it was super messy especially near the end. I also got a plate of rice with beef, and it was enormous in size but extremely delicious. I would recommend sharing a plate with another person if you plan to eat here.“

It’s not a fancy place, but the food is absolutely delicious, the portions are huge, and the owner clearly cares about turning first-time customers into repeat customers. “This is one of the Chinese north western halal restaurants franchise in Toronto. I had visit this franchise in other location and general speaking, they are good at what they are doing.
The meat were tasty and full of spices. Due to the current inflation, the portion definitely shrinked a lot (lol). For one for the chicken soft bone, that is a 7 bucks dish and we only get a handful of soft bone as per the photo.
And the chicken stew with potato, the portion had gone down too.
May come back in the future when every thing not that expensive.“

“This was the tastiest shawarma I had in a while. The seasoning was on point, the meat was juicy, the bread had a nice char, and the staff are so kind and heartwarming! I don't have a picture, mainly because I forgot to take one, since the food was so good 😭😂

“Their lamb soup was excellent, very flavorful and perfect for cold weather. The lamb skewers were also quite good, and the dry-fried lamb ribs were especially well seasoned and very tasty. I would definitely recommend those dishes.

However, I wouldn’t recommend the stewed beef flank with seaweed. Although I usually like eating seaweed, this one had too much soup, and the beef pieces were very tiny and broken up, so the texture wasn’t very satisfying.

Overall, there are many other delicious options on the menu, and the lamb dishes are definitely worth trying. Plus, their waitresses were quite friendly.“

“Checked out this Indonesian Street Food restaurant in North York ON with few of our friends. The food was very authentic and tasted very good. Service was excellent and atmosphere was very welcoming. We tried a variety of dishes as we were a group of 9. Some of the items were ordered off the menu were Cendol Coconut, Satay Ayam (Chicken Skewers), Nasi Goreng Shrimp, Nasi Goreng Ayam, Mie Jawa Shrimp, Mie Jawa Chicken, Gulai Ayam, Beef Rendang, Coconut rice and Dadar Gulung. Everything were delicious. Would high recommend to those craving for some tasty Indonesian/Southeast Asian food.“

Food is very generous waiter welxomed us with a cold pitcher of water and the menus we put the order in and the food started coming in fresh and hot..LOVED the food so much it was a bit salty for my taste yet beautiful light and not oily compared to other places. Would definelty recommend and visit again cuz there are a lot of dishes to try. We ordered a lot and we still took the rest home for next day lunch very generous portions.“

“I go to Pita Land quite often and every time I visit I receive excellent customer service. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. One of the workers, Arsi, is especially great and always provides outstanding service. The quality of the food is always the best and everything tastes fresh every time. “I had Simba's during Ramadan this year, I haven't realized that I should post a review, so here I am. This is, without a doubt, the BEST chicken spot I have ever tried. I went there with my 4 cousins and we all were in love with it, I never knew chicken could be THAT good! We got 2 Ramadan specials and a combo meal, The Ramadan special was amazing, the fried chicken sandwich, the smash burger, the tenders, and the fries were all so good. There's not one thing I disliked about Simba's. Keep up the amazing work, I hope to be back soon!“

“Hands down the BEST Burger in the city. Whenever I get the urge for a berg its hard to top my own,, A big pain in the arse. BUT no more!! Because Yonge Burger is is the best of the best Burg's in Toronto! French fries, onion rings are delicious too. Also, you can't beat the price. Also Quality & Service is outstanding.“
