“After going to their yonge and weldrick location for many many years, I happened to be in north Richmond hill (yonge and king road) and saw this other location! What can I say, very friendly welcoming service, clean organized interior and very fresh quality meat. Prices are average compared to the other 500+ kabob restaurants in this area but Taftan seems to stand out simply because of their reputation and large portion sizes. Today I got the barg (filet mignon beef) combo with rice and a side order of a chicken leg skewer. And hey they even threw in free cans of pop, lots of butter packets for the rice, packets of sumac (that tangy but distinct middle eastern red spice), and a pita bread! I’ll be sure to return again.“

“Went to this restaurant for the first time 2 days ago. Ordered the kobediah kebab dinner. Service was friendly. Food was very flavorful, both the rice and chicken. Portions were very large! The only thing missing was some garlic sauce. The kebabs would taste awesome dipped in a bit of sauce.“

The Megabite was pure burger bliss—juicy, stacked, and packed with incredible flavor in every single bite. My wife’s spicy crispy chicken sandwich delivered the perfect crunch with just the right amount of heat to keep things interesting without overpowering the flavor.

We shared a big order of fries, which were fresh, golden, crisp on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Great portion sizes, and top-tier comfort food. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Ordered meal for two and it was a lot of food. Didn’t realized the platter already came with salad so I ended up with two salads. The ceaser salad was pretty basic but too much Parmesan cheese mixed into the lettuce, which created a a weird texture. Meal came with two desserts, a cheesecake and strawberry shortcake. Was a little disappointed with the strawberry shortcake as it tasted like it came from frozen and cake was a little hard. The cheesecake was good, but, a little too sweet for my liking. Overall, the food, service, and experience was pretty decent and I will probably come back.“

She was not Asian may be Iranian or Afghan but when it was time to pay she selected the tip option herself and quickly took my card to tap. When I got the receipt it showed tip was already added. Mind you it was just three of us. So it couldn’t be the standard tip charge for a table of 6 or more.
I can’t imagine this being standard practice because if it is I will not return.“

“Decided to try this restaurant on a whim and I'm really glad we did. We'd never had Indonesian food before, so the staff took the time to explain the menu and gave us some great recommendations. The service was very friendly and has a nice family owned vibe. Made it easy to try something new.

We ordered the Beef Rendang, Ayam Geprek (Smashed Fried Chicken), and Nasi Goreng. Everything was really tasty. The beef was incredibly tender and packed with flavour, the chicken was crispy and a really nice kick to it, and the fried rice was awesome - very unique flavours.

Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to try Indonesian food. We'll be back!“

“I am a regular at the Markham location, in person and Uber Eats. Today I made the mistake of ordering at the north York location instead of the Scarborough location I usually order from. The second mistake I also made was, I forgot to add my instructions on what toppings I like for my burger. I felt so dumb calling the store 15 minutes after ordering asking for them to remake my burger that they already made, they didn’t have to at all, but they did it even when the driver was 5 minutes away. I appreciate Bison so much because I am a picky eater and my food would have been in the garbage if he did not get my burger remade. Thank you bro and keep serving up great food.“

“Pita Land is honestly my favourite food spot, hands down. I've been going here for several years now (since it opened) and the location is so convenient for me that it's become a regular thing. What really gets me is how consistent the quality has stayed the whole time, no matter when I go.

I've ordered from here during late night school projects, after long gym sessions, and even during gaming nights with friends. The chicken shawarma has never once let me down, whether I'm getting the poutine, the plate, or the potato bowl, they're all consistently amazing. The staff have always been friendly whenever I've gone in, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great too.

Also huge shoutout for being open late on Uber Eats. I genuinely can't even count how many times I've ordered from this place at this point, it's a lot.“

“Excellent food, generous portions, and great value for the price! Everything was delicious, and the portions were more than satisfying. The prices are very affordable, which makes this a great spot for a good meal without breaking the bank.

The customer service is also excellent. On one visit, I ordered hummus and pita as a side, but they had unfortunately run out of hummus. To make up for it, the staff member kindly offered me garlic sauce and some veggie samosas instead. I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture and excellent customer service.

The Birria Tacos were excellent, so much flavor in every bite. We tried the Chicken Tacos and Beef Tacos, and they were really good as well. “Their lamb soup was excellent, very flavorful and perfect for cold weather. The lamb skewers were also quite good, and the dry-fried lamb ribs were especially well seasoned and very tasty. I would definitely recommend those dishes.

However, I wouldn’t recommend the stewed beef flank with seaweed. Although I usually like eating seaweed, this one had too much soup, and the beef pieces were very tiny and broken up, so the texture wasn’t very satisfying.

Overall, there are many other delicious options on the menu, and the lamb dishes are definitely worth trying. Plus, their waitresses were quite friendly.“

“I’m very picky when it comes to eating outside. Unless the food has that original, homemade taste, I usually don’t enjoy it.
This place has 100% authentic taste. Their samosas honestly brought back childhood memories for me — they taste exactly like the samosas I used to eat in Pakistan. Since coming to Canada, I can truly say I haven’t had samosas this good anywhere else.
The chutney also tastes homemade and fresh. I tried a few other items as well, and everything was delicious.

If you’re looking for real, authentic Pakistani taste, I definitely recommend this place.If you want, 10/10
