Located in Markham, Magical Taste of China offers next level Halal Chinese food. This Chinese north western halal restaurant franchise serves traditional Xinjiang cuisine with generous portions at a reasonable price. The food is absolutely delicious, with dishes that take you right back to China. The meat is tasty and full of spices. The lamb is incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with no gamey taste, easily some of the best lamb ever had. The lamb skewers are huge, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The Whiting Fish is always bomb, and the Deep Fried Tofu & Cabbage is a favorite. The Eggplant & Lamb Rice in Bamboo Bucket is a go-to, with flavourful Eggplant and Lamb Stir Fry topped on Rice. The Hand Pulled Noodles are so thic and chewy. The service is outstanding, with friendly, attentive staff. The VIP room offers great ambiance. Dishes are served hot, and Chinese music adds to the experience. Due to current inflation, some portions like the chicken soft bone and chicken stew with potato have shrunk. This place tops all Chinese restaurants visited in 15 years. Highly recommend.
