I came here to try Chinese food by a friend who had been staying there for 10 years. The food was very good, I had a good time with my friends. But there was a waiter, I have never seen anything like this in my life in Canada. He took the POS machine from my friend's hand and tried to decide on the tip amount that my friend would give him. He said in a rude manner, " If you will not give a tip, go to China." There is no such customer service and I was incredibly disappointed to encounter such a person in the Chinese restaurant I visited for the first time. People like this should definitely not be employed as waiters, they might be suitable for throwing garbages...

Extremely disappointed with the service at magical taste of China/Markham branch. Not only we were pressured to leave a tip by the waitress when we declined, the waitress became downright rude and disrespectful. It's appalling that tipping was forced on us in such a manner. Management needs to address this behavior immediately. Will not be returning.

Dont go to this place… They push you to give high tips and there is no service of any type. We waited 10mins to order and no one even talking to you or showing any type of service. I spent almost 200 and even bought their vip card, but while paying the bill she yanked the pos machine out of my hand and said if i dont tip high i cant eat here. Most terrible waiter ever…. Naive person with no training or sense of service. I hope the management can take care of her.

I was there tonight with my mom and son. Their service was really good and we were happy about the food. The table next to us were very rude to the server and didn’t pay any tips. The server replied politely and professionally! All the servers were very good tonight and we really enjoyed the food tonight. Will definitely return! Strongly recommend to anyone who is interested!

As a customer who happens to be sitting at the next table, I have to express my opinion. I cannot say that I am unfair, but I feel that I have never seen such unqualified foreigners. They just come to a Chinese restaurant to bully us Chinese. The tipping system in Canada is not determined by the waiters. You should respect this tradition in this country. How can you act like a rogue and not tip? Just because you can speak a few words in Chinese, you can brazenly say that tipping is not allowed in China. It is true that tipping is not required in China. This is a Chinese restaurant in Canada. You The way they bully Chinese waiters here is really malicious. If you can't afford a meal, don't go out and embarrass yourself. Don't speak Chinese to embarrass the Chinese nation. If you can, go to a Western restaurant and act like a hooligan without tipping! It’s so atmospheric that I can’t stand it, to be fair! Don't act like a hooligan on our Chinese territory!
Woodbine location- halal and no pork on the menu. Hot and sour was excellent, sweet and sour fish and general tap chicken were really good. My favourite was crispy beef the only dish ordered that I didn’t like was fried shrimp the batter was very floury and something was off any the shrimpDietary restrictions: Halal

This restaurant was recommended to me by some friends so I went with my own family for a celebration event. I can honestly say it was my first time ever being asked by a server to remove some dishes because I ordered too much.. I had to explain that I deliberately over ordered because we wanted a feast and leftovers to take home. Needless to say, we kept our entire order. Photos attached. We also had the hot savory milk tea and hot tea. All the food was very tasty! We purchased a VIP card for $20 and got the discounts for all the dishes and can continue to use the card for 2yrs. The only disappointment was the sweet dessert soup because it had more cornstarch flavorless fluid compared to how it should usually taste. Tax tips for 11 dishes and pot of hot savory milk tea total $270 is a pretty good deal in my opinion! I’ll be back to try the other dishes!

It was the first time to eat tripe pork. It was very special. It was stuffed with lamb. It was delicious when eaten hot. The lamb chops were also grilled very well. The store staff were also nice. I will come again next time.
