“This is such a lucky find. I was craving samosa for the last two days and I was going to make them myself only to discover I don’t have all the spices needed. Being a rainy day February 20 2026 and not feeling the greatest I didn’t want to drive around in rush hour traffic. I came upon this place and I’m really grateful. They really do serve hot fresh home cooked food. I got three samosa and Chana masala and plain naan. Everything was made fresh by the three family members. Everything was flavourful without being too overpowering (I was worried about the Chana masala being too heavy on the onion and garlic but it’s wasn’t). The sweet sauce with the samosa was so good. I was sweating eating everything lol (I don’t think it’s every spicy it’s likely because I have been eating a lot of bland food lately) but I think that’s a good sign and just what my body needed to help me feel better. Overall my total was either $14 or $16 and it was really filling. While I was waiting there was another man there getting a large order and then another man came in and asked me if the food was good there. So we both came across this place randomly today and were trying it for the first time. If you see this I hope you also enjoyed your meal!

“I tried Roti King last week on a whim, the reviews were all over the place but I’ve been looking for a solid roti shop for a while so I gave it a shot.

The restaurant is dated and old, the owners are not trying to charm you, they don’t need to, the rotis are phenomenal. It’s the classic, chickpea flour roti that’s made fresh, the meat to potato to gravy ratio is on point and the hot sauce is perfect.

We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already been back and we’ll be back regularly. This is a great spot, don’t sleep on it.“

“6 of us went for some Assamese specialties, which we enjoyed immensely, along with what we might think of as more usual Indian fare. The specialties we tried: salmon steaks prepared in an Assamese way, delicious; wonderful and very flavourful mustard greens and a delicious potato eggplant mix. The went chef was very helpful. “This is my go-to place for biryani. The best I've had! Light, fluffy and delicately spiced. The food is so good and the staff are so friendly it's like my 2nd home! The gongura biryani (veg or chicken) is probably my favourite, also really like the mughlai chicken biryani.“

Loved the chilli fish and the butter naan was pillowy and soft. Definitely the best tandoori bread I've had in Toronto. Chicken tandoori momos and the malai kofta curry were good too. Will be back to try other curries.“

“We have passed the sign for Dhillon's Karahi many times without eating there. That is our loss. We decided on a whim to check it out this evening and were delighted with our meal. “I was introduced to Gully by my friend Dwight the other day. He's raved about it previously and rightfully so! Everything was fantastic.
By far the biggest selection of Indian whiskies I've seen in the city, and then rest of the whisky collection is really well-curated. Chef Nalin is warm and charming, definitely knows his craft. Loved the wonderful cardamom-inflected smoked Old Fashioned and the pineapple Penicillin riff.
As impressive as the bar and drinks were, the food is the star of the show. I probably eat wings way too often, and the tandoori wings were the best-cooked wings I've had in the city in years, with a beautiful sauce. Loved the lamb chops, the corn tartlets, and the avocado chaat chips and dip for apps as well. And the curries! I've been dreaming since about the lamb shank and the shrimp coconut curries. We went around 6 people, great and convenient location, just 5 min walk from Bloor and Yonge Station. We ordered Samosa Chat, Cheese Nan and Chicken Tikka Masala from the appetizer and had Lababdar and Special Butter Chicken in the main course. I must say, the food was so delicious, I am in love with Chicken Tikka Masala. The service was also nice, Will definitely go again.“

Be sure to check your food before leaving countless times you get something else or missing items. The food here is good not gonna lie there. But the service staff are either slow or let you wait there very long. If they said it's gonna take 10 minutes that's a LIE your waiting close to 40 mins. Would order again here but knowing the times is best. This is my experience from the last 10x I've been here. Lots of uber drivers there waiting and swearing it's fun to watch.“

“If you're looking for a quaint indian restaurant with delicious indian food and excellent service, Kadak is the place. Try the Peacock cocktail, served in a delightful cup. We also had the butter chicken, the Aamchi mutton ( goat) and the kale saag paneer. Everything was flavorful, the meats were well seasoned and soft. Dessert was the Gulab Jamoon creme brulee. We requested a gluten free and nut free meal which was prepared for us at no extra cost. Thank you Kadak for a delicious meal.“

The ladies here were so kind and patient with me as I asked questions about their vegetarian options and the differences between the flatbread offerings. This menu has such amazing variety and flavour profiles that I imagine even the pickiest eaters can find something they like (such as myself!). I was worried that the items I wanted to try would use too much garlic and onion As I write this review it’s 1:16 am and I don’t have any nausea so I think I’m in the clear. I ordered the paratha and Chana masala (the more tomato version) and a samosa with the tangy sauce. The total came to 26.88. I decided to eat part of the order there as it was already so late and I hadn’t eaten since 12 and having just finished work was hungry. The food was steaming hot which was amazing as I was cold on such a Canadian winter day. They were kind to not make me feel rushed at all considering the time. The environment in the restaurant was clean and calm and I know I was getting a good quality “home cooked meal”. There was great pride in her establishments menu and she explained how each item is made and prepared and how they differ. I enjoyed talking about the history of Trinidad and how Aroma has a mixture of Trinidadian , Jamaican, south and East Asian foods.
