“A unforgettable dining experience last 07/04/25 (Friday)! Shoutout to Chef/Owner Danny Cancino and his team for an impeccable service! 👏 Every dish and the complimentary additions were phenomenal! The modern twist in Filipino cuisine was definitely well done!💖🌟 Here are some of my standout favorites 🤯: • Pineapple + Kombu (Seaweed): Refreshing and light, with crispy seaweed balancing the sweet, citrusy pineapple 💛 • Duck Ensaymada w/ Duck Prosciutto and Truffle Butter: One of the fluffiest breads I’ve ever had, inspired by classic ensaymada. Spreading truffle butter on it was chef’s kiss—it melts in your mouth! 😭👌 • Scallop Inari Lumpia: Beautifully presented with fried sushi rice, ginger-chili dressed Argentinian shrimp, and seared scallop on top. The rice was fluffy and so tasty I could eat it endlessly! • Iberico Pork Collar: Juicy, saucy, and umami-packed tender pork with chicharon, lettuce leaves, and sesame aioli. The pickled papaya (atchara) was a nice touch—I don’t usually eat atchara, but I loved it with this! • Beef Short Rib Kare-Kare: The star of the show! 🌟👏 Rich, classic kare-kare flavors with blanched bok choy and eggplant. The thick, peanuty sauce was delightful—if only there was rice! 🤣😋 Hope as many people as possible get to try this ultimate gourmet experience, whether you’re visiting Toronto or a Canada local! 🌟 Thank you Mineral!☺️Until we visit again!“

“I must say the 1st thing I noticed is the welcoming faces of the 2 servers (forgot to ask for their names) I like that, they even gave my friend one of the jackstone that was only meant for display.
The ambiance was great, decorations were not overwhelming, simple but it brings memories from back home. It’s a great touch.
Food was ok, it’s satisfying, the portion is good enough to fill you up, just not enough flavour for me.

I will go back and give it another try, maybe a different dish will change my perspective.“

“We ordered the lechon for a baby shower and it was the absolute star of the show. The crackling skin was the first thing to go—it was perfectly seasoned and stayed crunchy for hours. The meat was juicy, fall-off-the-bone tender, and infused with amazing aromatics. Excellent service and even better food.“

“I’ve been waiting for good elevated Filipino cuisine and it’s finally here! Traditional ingredients and flavours mixed in with modern twists. All the plates were surprising yet nostalgic at the same time. Dishes were served by the chef himself too. My only critique was the crispy pata skin was a tad tough but this is an easy fix. As a Filipino I’m glad to see our cuisine highlighted in fine dining. Can’t wait to see more from Kusinero.“

“Came in here after a long day at the Toronto Zoo and was so pleasantly surprised! This is a hidden gem of Filipino food! Prices are very reasonable and the food is very very amazing!!! Can’t say enough about the flavours!! Our server, Racquel, was super personable, knowledgeable, and knew how much food we needed for our party. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. :)“

“Authentic Filipino dishes to go. Giniling, BBQ pork or chicken skewers, caldereta, menudo, bicol express, mongo, lumpia….a must-go in this North Scarborough neighbourhood when I crave my mom’s home cooking. They also have desserts like kucinta and hopia. Ang sarap! Very friendly owners too!“

“I had a wonderful time yesterday at Kanto by Tita Flips! It was an honour to meet the owner herself, Tita Flips!!! They are so friendly, very accommodating, and the food was amazing!!! Thank you Riza, who took care of us. And of course Tita Flips, who came to see us before she prepared our 3 course meal. Highly recommended for those of you foodie peeps out there! Experience their delicious meals and the traditional Filipino hospitality first hand. I will definitely come back for more!!!“
