“Saw this place on instagram and my wife wanted to try it for her birthday. Reached out to them on Instagram where they made some suggestions and I placed an order for today. Tried a few things and there was more than enough food for 4 adults and 2 kids. This place has this Kamayan platter box that has good variety and is great for sharing. Will get to that later. Also this was take out so went to pick it up.First thing they suggested was the Caldereta Royale. This was a poutine but with stewed beef, carrots and peas and gravy. Quite tasty. Next we got a fried adobo chicken on rice also pretty good. Chicken was crispy and I was smelling it all the way home and couldn't wait to dive in when I got home.Now for the main, we ordered the Kamayan box that we saw on instagram. 5 different proteins, bed of seasoned rice, nice shrimps and fried eggs. Everything worked really well together. My parents were over and they ate with us, never trying Filipino food before. They loved it. The flavours and the sauce that came with it... Just delicious, and a must try.Food was more than enough for all of us, and I have left overs for lunch tomorrow. The staff here are super nice people. Patient with me as I couldn't decide what to order and through our great ideas. Also gave me something for free to try which was delicious as well. Would definitely be going back, amazing experience.“
“All items in their menu are tasty and delicious. Staff are very friendly and we got to meet the chef who’s behind this famous “Bao” recipes. They were able to keep the Pinoy flavour in their fusion and we’re just so proud and happy to know that they are located close by in Scarborough.“
“I tried the chicken skewers here and, oh my goodness, it's amazing. The sauce wasn't too sweer nor sour, but just enough to make you want to gwt more; and the chicken itself is tender and soft! It's very nice, i can't wait to try out more items from here!“
“The best pandesal for me. I have been coming here since I lived in Ohio, we fill our suv with bags of pandesal to stock every time we come to Toronto. Now that I am back, I still get my pandesal from there even when there are more Pilipino bakery selling pandesal.“
“I pre-ordered a few dozen empanadas as gifts to relatives this Christmas. Arvin was very accommodating since I rescheduled pick-up due to the weather. Of course we had to get some for our family too. The pastry was so tasty. I actually enjoyed the vegetable filling but my fave is the pork. We had a few leftovers that I put in the fridge. Popped it in the oven for a few minutes and it tasted like it’s freshly made. Yum!“
“Lola Sally’s was recommended to me by a friend. I ordered for the first time last Sunday for a party at home. Everything I ordered - party trays of fresh lumpia, canton, sisig, chicken inasal, and pork bbq - were really good. The chicken inasal was my favorite. It tastes like lechon manok! All the guests loved it too! This will now be my go-to place for Filipino food!“
“We liked the ambiance as you would really feel like you’re in a Pinoy Karinderya. They were also playing Pinoy pop and R&B music. Their crispy pata was ok. Skin was crunchy but the meat was lacking tenderness. We loved the fried squid because of the breading and also it was tender and tasty! I asked the young lady server if it’a a family-ran business and she confirmed it. I really sensed the family vibe working together to make the resto well-run. She is used “opo and po”, (with her English sentences), while communicating, which made it a special experience because the Pinoy “respectful” culture is still there! “Wow! This is the best food i’ve had in a very long time. The presentation was gorgeous and the atmosphere and decorations reminded me so much of the Philippines. My favourites were the pork skewers and spring rolls, they were so flavourful and filling. The owners were super welcoming and friendly, I had no trouble communicating with them. The food was so authentic, I am definitely going to be coming back and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone since there were so many foods to choose from on the menu!“
