“We really enjoyed our experience at Veggie D’light. I called ahead since we were coming from Oshawa and the woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. We then travelled to one of our favourite places Kensington Market to this restaurant. They were welcoming and offered us a taste of the soup since we had travelled so far. It was delicious. We placed our order and ordered enough for dinner the next day too! The food was very tasty and loved the roti shell! ( not too hot though and we like the heat) we were offered scotch bonnet sauce but I find that too much. We really enjoyed our food, good portions for the cost. We would definitely recommend and definitely will return!“
“Yes, they have Malpeque. But also west and east coast oysters you’ve never tasted before, many from small producers in little bays you’ve never heard of. Served with charm and professionalism by a master shucker who’ll coach you on which condiment goes best with which oyster, or say nothing at all if you prefer. “Went this morning, was able to order and sit in on a couple of benches in the restaurant (small amount of seating, meant mostly for those waiting for their orders to be prepared). Shared an avo rosti sandwich, with pork belly added to it and tried one of the special features of the day because it sounded delicious - the scotch egg wrapped in pepperoni-sausage, with cabbage slaw, in a brioche bun! We loved the OG avo rosti, and really glad we added the pork belly to it, rich and delicious, soft bun, a near perfect breakfast sandwich, best I've ever had out! The scotch egg in pepperoni was also great, just look at that cross section! Personally love a bit of freshness in a sandwich, wouldn't have minded more slaw or jelly in the scotch egg sandwich, or some pickled onions in the avo rosti, but that's just personal preference, the sandwiches were great. Also had the HK milk tea which was sooooo good, great milk tea flavour, and a nice glass flask to take home or can also recycle at ALMA+GIL. Will return to the new location at College and Bathurst for sure, can't wait to try the kombucha!“

“What a wonderful bakery. I walked in one day and bought their bread and cookies and I was thoroughly impressed. I have become a regular now. Their oatmeal-chocolate cookies as well as their double chocolate cookies are my favorite. It is economical and just wonderful. Andrea is a very nice, courteous man and it is evident that he cares about what he makes. The best part was I went one day and they had some bread and cookies but they did not sell it to me because it was old. That kind of honesty from a bakery makes you a returning customer.“

“I am so impressed by this spot I stumbled on today. Their interior was warm, simple and stylish. Their house salad with chicken was fresh, healthy and delicious - caramelized walnuts, dried apricots and that sesame vinaigrette... it was heaven. I also really enjoyed a souvlaki pita salad with a chicken skewer, and I live next to Greektown - I can tell this is top quality food!PLUS, they have all their sauces and vinaigrettes for sale and they do catering!! “i love this place. no frills. come in, pick your sushi, check out, leave. their salmon sashimi (12 pieces!) is 13.99 which is a steal. always so buttery and fresh and melt in your mouth. other entrees are incredibly cost effective and yummy, i especially love the shrimp tempura roll combo. (combo comes with a soda) their free miso soup actually had seaweed and is flavourful. location is immediate right on the left or west exit into college park.“

“Obviously from the picture I had the burger combo. I ate it about 40 minutes after I picked it up and it was still amazing. The fries I assume are all hand cut since they're different shapes and sizes which is just nice to see. The burger was very tasty with nice toppings and sauce. The bacon was so so crispy which is what I love to see and you could really taste the beef which is something I find lacking in most places. But everything about this burger was great.“

I was convinced that they owned the shop because they invest so much time, attention, and passion into everything they do. Their “nonna” imparted her knowledge and love of food to these two special ladies, and they in turn share it with their customers. Everything I have every ordered from them is amazing! I recently purchased a southern italian specialty (authentic donuts made with potatoes) and my entire family loved them! “I recently ate at Hutchie Catering while on vacation. This is a Caribbean treasure nestled away in Toronto. When I entered the restaurant, I was met with friendly service and a delicious aroma of spices drifting from the kitchen. The ambiance was appealing, with Caribbean music playing in the background, making me feel nostalgic back to Trinidad. I got a chicken roti (impeccable I must say) and jerk chicken takeout, which tasted even better the next day, much to my surprise. Make sure to purchase a bottle of pepper sauce; it's my absolute favorite and really tasty. I definetly recommend it as a Trinidadian.“
