“This place specializes in egg sandwiches. They have a variety of options but I like The Classic the most. I find that the sandwiches are hearty so eating one is quite filling. I liked the lobster as well but I wished it had more lobster inside. The bread is soft and buttery. They have a small seating area so it can be difficult to eat it inside. Overall, the service is good and the sandwich is flavorful.“
“Warm, welcoming, kid-friendly place serving brunch staples at a reasonable price. Attentive, kind staff make you feel right at home; a great spot to be a regular. My new favourite Sunday tradition is stopping here with my wife and young son.“
“I’ve been going to OEB since they had the original little shop on Edmonton Trail with the ridiculous lines. I’m glad that they constantly tinker with the menu and add experiments but please bring back my Hogs and Scallops. I don’t care if scallops cost more now, raise the price but keep it on the menu.“
“The Gingerman Restaurant is what I would call a real old fashioned restaurant. It’s like getting into a time machine and heading back to the 1950’s. I’m quite sure that this restaurant will never receive a Michelin Star but they will be getting something better, which is a 5 star rating from me.My wife and I visited The Gingerman Restaurant for lunch. I ordered an absolutely huge 4 egg Meat Lovers Omelette and my wife chose the Classic Clubhouse Sandwich. Both dishes were scrumptious and service was quick and friendly. If you want to walk out with your tummy full, then this is the place to stop by.“
“This new place is so lovely with its beautiful decor and ambience. My friend really enjoyed her smoked salmon with potato pancakes (which I can attest was yummy!), but I was disappointed with my chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was only okay. If I came back, I would definitely get what my friend had ordered. At first, the dessert variety was enticing, but, upon inquiring further, there were only really about 4 available cakes out of the many on display. The one we wanted wasn’t available so we got the Tirumisu, which was tasty. We appreciated the kind gesture of a cake and small toasts on the house.I wasn’t necessarily wow’d by my first experience, but I’d be willing to try the potato pancakes if I came back.“
“Stumbled on this place and what a lovely surprise. We ordered two brunch dishes. They were so good we ordered another bagel on top. Plus we added a couple of cookies to our order with coffee. Chef’s kiss to this place. We will definitely come again!“
“I come here when I’m in the area and while it’s always busy, we get seated fast. I order egg whites, pancakes, or the sunset breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes. Waitresses are all friendly, the portion sizes are big and it’s not expensive.“
“I totally loved this great little café! I used to be an east ender but no more... otherwise it would be on my list for weekend brunch. I visited on a weekday, midmorning, for breakfast and it was quiet and so pleasant! The standout was the lima beans. For real! I'm not a big bean person so i wasn't sure... but I'm a convert. Definitely beans worth a trip across town!!“
“The food tasted great and was presentable. We got a Cobb salad to go, and ordered the steak and eggs and the shredded beef omelette with two smoothies one kale and one strawberry banana to dine in. It also came out very fast as there were only about 6 people inside at the time (1:30pm on a Monday). The server was young, knowledgeable and very patient. Atmosphere was more for elderly people. I had my 6 month old baby with us so we got many looks and stares when she was playful and vocal but none the less, I would eat here again.Parking: It’s never full. Can Enter via Eglinton on the southeast side or northbound on WardenWheelchair accessibility: No. Has a lip at the door that you’d have to get over“
“This was one of the best breakfasts we've ever had!!! The food was plentiful, tasted amazing. Our waitress was spot on and very attentive. Reasonably priced. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely be going here!!! A Must visit grill!!“
“We just got to downtown from the airport and were famished. We wanted brunch and found this awesome spot within walking distance of union station that still served their brunch menu in the middle of the afternoon. I’m so happy we came here because it’s exactly what I wanted. Will definitely come here again!“
“After searching through tons of listings for breakfast near us, we settled on this restaurant. We came on a Friday morning and were sat immediately but a pleasant staff member. The menu options are substantial but we settled on the four cheese omelette and the banana, nut, and caramel French toast. My mom really loved her French toast! It was flavorful and cooked nicely. She enjoyed her coffee as well. I did not order coffee as I felt the prices were a bit high. My four cheese omelet was ok, it definitely could have been hotter when it arrived at the table and the cheese was not sufficiently melted for my taste. That being said, it tasted fine and i enjoyed the cheese combination. The home fries were cooked perfectly and the toast was good. The service was great, except the server did not come back and check on how the food was, as I am accustomed to. I’m not sure I would have asked her to have them beat my omelet more but I do like to have the opportunity. The vibe in this restaurant is pretty cool, I like the color scheme and the general setup. All in all, not the best but still good. .“
“Breakfast on the last morning of your stay. We had already fallen in love with Toronto, but this restaurant was the final highlight of our experience, why we will definitely come back to play here. The kids had pancakes and smoothies. I personally ordered the traditional Egg Benedict version, which was 10+. The kids ate half of my portion after getting a first taste of the new treat. I don't think fried eggs are good enough anymore. ;)The atmosphere, service and decor works for families with kids, couples and larger groups alike. The kids and I give you 5 stars, thank you.“
“Had brunch here on a weekend. Had the classic middle eastern breakfast - the omelette and sausage were delicious. The coffee and pita were okay. The cappuccino was good. The potatoes in the Cilbir and spicy potatoes breakfast was phenomenal. Service may feel a bit slow but if you aren't in a hurry and don't like to feel rushed, this may not be a bad thing. Made a reservation before coming in order to avoid a wait. There are paid parking lots and street parking in the area. Would come back to try some other dishes.“
“A comfortable diner with lots of space and a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee isn't great, the food is yummy breakfast comfort food , and they don't care if your kid is rowdy or if you sit there for ages. The servers are patient and warm.Vegetarian options: There are some great veggie options!Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly.“
“I made the mistake on one of my bagel and they gave me a new one I the staff is unbelievable I'll go there two or three times a week love that place but it's the staff that does it for meYou lovely ladies are awesome ?Parking: Lots of parking never had an issue“
“A great spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches! Came here on a Saturday morning and it was very busy around 11am (around 45min wait) but well worth it. Got the son of a rise with chipotle mayo and it was so delicious! Tried their latte which was great too. Service was friendly and quick. Would recommend!“
“We had a wonderful breakfast experience at this location. They offer a variety of extra-menu options compared to other Eggsmart locations nearby. The servers were friendly, and the ambiance was beautiful. Their outstanding service made us eager for our next visit. We highly recommend this Eggsmart over others in the nearby area.Parking spaces available on the site.“
“Surprisingly, the restaurant has a 76-year history, providing a classic breakfast experience. The confident waiter and half-open kitchen offer a transparent glimpse into the culinary process. The traditional menu's simplicity and quality ingredients make dining here an authentic and delightful choice. I look forward to my next visit to try more dishes.“
“One of my favorite go to restaurants for breakfast. Service is quick and friendly, servings plentiful and the atmosphere, very pleasant. If l go solo, I'll bring a magazine, chill, taking my time and throughly enjoy the respite. The proprietor, Linda, is always quick with a warm smile and when time permits quite talkative.“
“What a hidden gem! I’m from Chicago and if we bring this down to Chicago it would be a hit. Food was cooked perfectly, home fries were absolutely delicious and everything was just delicious. The food was clean not greasy and so flavorful. Very generous portions. Chicago needs to learn from its neighbors how to make it right. Will eat here again when in the neighborhood. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️??“
“I really like this place. I’ve been for breakfast with a friend and had the full breakfast with peamale + pancake. I forgot that’s what pancakes are SUPPOSED to be like. So fluffy and delicious.I also just enjoyed a takeout peameal and egg sandy on rye with spinach, tomato, and onion. The food here is really good. The quality is excellent, ingredients are FRESH, portions are a great size, and meals are tasty, uncomplicated, and unpretentious. This is not the place for your ‘gourmet’ breakfast. But, it IS the place for legitimately all other breakfasts. Hangovers. Family. Breakfast with a friend on a Saturday morning. Etc.The space and owner are unassuming and service is excellent.“
“we waited maximum 10 minutes and we went around 10:30 ish on a Sunday. the service was very fast and we got our food with what felt like within 5 minutes. the food is yummy and the proportions are decent. service was good until the end, where she hadn’t come back to our table for a bit so turn over for tables weren’t rushed, felt bad because people have to wait outside for seating. Good safe choice to have breakfast/brunch at! (Excuse the terrible lighting of the photos lol)“
“Tastes as good as I remember! February 18/24- touring downtown as I stumbled across this childhood memory. The kid in me knew I had to stop by so I did so and it didn’t disappoint! I have vivid memories of when my dad took me and my sister here in Scarborough but this eggsmart is nice too! Furthermore, shout out to the Turkish waiter, he served me nicely and we joked around before he delivered my generously portioned food!“
“It was my first time here and the service was amazing. They were so attentive and caring and warm to us. Unfortunately, there was a customer in the table next to us treating the waitress with unnecessary disrespect which they handled with even more kindness. I would definitely come back here the food was very yummy and I loved how they served the orange juice it was so cute!“
“Nice spot on the Danforth if you want a light lunch. There’s a small patio. Cafeteria style. We ordered a BLT and a grilled sandwich - black forest ham and Swiss cheese. They were both tasty but a little on the expensive side for simple sandwiches. The food was good so we’ll visit again and definitely recommend to others.“
“Had a really great experience at this location! The west coast omelette was delicious and the ambiance at this location was really nice. Hani from the staff had a really great energy and was so helpful when my friends and I visited for breakfast. Will be back again!“
“Been wanting to try this place for awhile now and I'm glad I did. I had the Huevos Ahogados which were out of this world. A nice, spicy tomato sauce with avocado, feta and cilantro over my eggs and served with a crisp salad, chickpeas and warm toast. A+“
“I go here at least once a week before I start my workday. The server Lani is really nice and helpful and knows good suggestions. Today I got a BLT sandwich and fruits. Food is always delicious here. Hot, fresh, warm, and the home fries are tasty! A gem in the city’s midtown downtown!Parking: Paid parking on Yonge St at the front of the restaurant.“
“It was amazing the waffles were delicious very fluffy and very big but not thick the peanut butter one is awesome I loved it. Very cheep 15$ for 4 big waffles. The only thing is that the decor isn’t to everyone’s liking I loved the place 10/10 would recommend if ur looking for waffles in Toronto.“

“Fresh tasty food at this Cora branch. Big thanks to our server John for his great service and attention. He was super polite, caring ! He made sure that we have everything we ordered and all meet beyond our expectations. Thanks John for your great work ??“
“Great spot for breakfast and lunch. The staff are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food is always fresh and quick. Pancakes are fantastic! But best thing of all is the staff and how you feel like you’re part of a community when dining there.“
“Well , let me see here- there’s never a dull moment- the staff are always prompt , friendly , professional, always checking in to see if anything is needed- food is soo delicious always the way I order it- the coffee is amazing- overall I highly recommend Boom breakfast to everyone- thanks boom family- we love you Regards, Mk / TK/ Toonie P—-ie“
“I stumbled upon eggsmart for breakfast, and I'm so glad I did! The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for classic favorites or something more unique, they've got you covered. The service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made for a great start to the day. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast spot, look no further than this place“
“Today we paused at Boom on St. Clair for a late breakfast. We were warmly greeted by our host and server, Isabel. As this was ‘brunch’ for us we chose 2 hearty options: the Power Breakfast (with peameal, poached eggs, roasted tomatoes and rye toast) and the Oh Canada Eggs Benedict. Both meals included fresh fruit garnish: an orange twist and a pineapple wedge. Both meals were attractively plated. (Something that particularly appeals to my CIA trained foodie husband…”we consume first with our eyes!”) The food arrived hot, and Isabel made sure to check back with us - first if all was right with our meal - and later on for coffee refills. We often choose to return here when in Toronto to see our kids and grandkids, and here are our reasons why:1. consistency - we can count on the food being exactly the same, every time, as described on the menu;2. we can count on being seated quickly, even when they’re busy;3. we feel they value our business - they remember us, and call us by name, and seem genuinely happy we came;4. options - the menu appeals to all of us, and there’s something for everyone, even the most finicky eater: grandkids, adults, and seniors;5. and finally, with all respect to gender and ageism, they employ women of a certain vintage, who know their stuff, understand children and the challenges of dining out, and how to problem-solve and think on their feet - and whose years in age also bring wisdom to their job performance!Thank you Boom for our full bellies and Isabel’s capable and caring service. We’ll see you again, soon!“
“Their breakfasts are really good, constant coffee is great, and their lunch options are great too!The waitress is very kind and attentive, and it has an awesome ambiance. It's a bit expensive, but it's a really good place to go once in a while!“
“Very friendly and helpful staff and delicious food for a great price! The portions they give you are quite hefty and you definitely get a good amount of food for the price you pay. The food arrived quickly and the service in general was very prompt! The location is also very convenient if you are planning on visiting the beaches right after, as there is a path just outside of the diner that leads you right there!“
“This restaurant is arguably the greatest thing to happen to north york. This is the quintessential breakfast diner that this community needs. I am truly grateful that a family business such as this exists so close to me. Although I have been unable to try anything outside of what I always get (three eggs, sausage and home fries). This restaurant surely does every item well. Everything this restaurant stands for is what makes the city of Toronto great. I’m writing this review before I have received my food. But I have been here multiple times and that’s why I just feel compelled to write this review. Sunshine spot simply delivers exactly what it’s meant to deliver. Honest food at honest prices“
“Diners (the restaurant type, not the person doing the eating) can sometimes have an ambiguous relationship with the foodie type. Is it a trendy place that calls itself a diner, but serves gold leaf on the scrambled eggs and 100 percent Irish butter on the artisinal multigrain crostini? Sure, those things resemble diner food, but... Solid diners that have been around awhile get respect, but not (I feel) a lot of foodie love. The Sunset Grill on Danforth near Coxwell is a prime example, at least on Yelp. Service there is always friendly and efficient. The food is always solid and tasty. And they are even innovating with concessions to a vegan palate, like the Southwestern Hash I had. (But I doubt they have a dedicated vegan grill, but then, I'm not a vegan.) A solid plate of home fries, mushrooms, red peppers and onions, and two small cups of guacamole and chopped tomatoes. Improved for me by judicious sprinkling of some hot sauce on top. Their coffee is strong and does the job. Simple diner food. But satisfying and it sticks to your ribs. Their menu also offers lunch options like wraps, burgers, salads,... This is a chain. And I won't say every location is great. But this one has always had me leaving happy.“
“I recently visited Eggsmart for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed! The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and extensive menu made for a delightful dining experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I especially loved their fluffy omelettes and crispy turkey bacon. I'll definitely be returning for more delicious meals!“
“Best part of this experience is the great service by Ms.Raquel , she took care of us well, very patient with our orders and special requests. We came for the lechon unfortunately it was sold out for the day. Our food was good but have rooms for improvement. Two thumbs up for the great service tho.“
“There is a cozy place in downtown for brunch, I really enjoyed my meal , also Nick Z helped me to choose my meat and egg, he was so friendly and showed everything and items I was looking for in the menu, asked for remove the toasts and he copped, brought the dish sooner than I even expected,I had Greek salad beside it , it was with fresh vegetables thanks for preparing it today“
“It’s a bit cramped but beautiful. Parking was a challenge around the area. I had Sophie’s breakfast and portion is a tad smaller than most of Toronto’s brunch places. The turkey sausage look unappetizing but surprisingly good. My friend ordered pecan crusted french toast and she devoured it. Tierra’s Sunrise moctail is delicious but pina colada mocktail taste like a very watered down pineapple juice.“
“I went there today for the first time. It was a wonderful experience. Our waitress was very pleasant. I was there with my future mother in law and her sister. We were there right as huge rainstorm passed through. The awning did a good job protecting us from it. Good prices.“
“Beautiful restaurant and the food was excellent. Coffee was great but most of all our server Jenna was fantastic! She went above and beyond to make my Wife’s birthday brunch enjoyable, by not only providing exceptional service but also surprising her with a complimentary mimosa and dessert. I highly recommend this place!“
