“Cannot recommend enough!!
This is my first time having Ethiopian food and all I can say is wow! The food is full of flavour and spice and is a very good portion for what you pay. I had the meat and veggie combo and it was both delicious and filling.
However the main thing that stood out to me was the service. I was there by myself as I was on a business trip and the lady (I wish I got her name) was just a delight. She was incredibly kind and you can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and their experience.
Please go and give this restaurant and their staff some love! 20/10“

“Amazing Restaurant! This is my go to spot for Ethiopian food in the city. Went there for my sisters birthday and the staff took amazing care of us. We came with a few people who have never visited Wazema before and they loved everything! Great food, great service and great aesthetic. If you’re looking for a good Ethiopian restaurant wazema is the place to go“

“Excellent young lady serving us on a quiet Wednesday evening. The veg platter was good, the portions of food were just right, not too much, and according to my companion, the meat platter was good too. This place is very low key and feels authentic“

“Just right and amazing . The vibe here is great. The place is not too extravagant nor subpar to the bar standards. Above all else, the price is reasonable. Ask for Sam Kate, she is just a great attender and employee. This lounge has a band playing on certain days and times. In addition, the establishment offers good deals on food and nourishment from their kitchen before 11pm . Try it out. Enjoy your time and leave happy.“

“Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and professional. Food is consistently good, very healthy and flavorful without being too spicy. They serve the best coffee in the city (owner used to be a barista). Very good hours.
Parking: It’s fairly easy to find paid parking on the street in front of the restaurant. $4/hour. Must pay as it is constantly being checked even if you are dashing in to collect a pickup order.“
“After hiking and photographing from west of High Park to Dundas Square (with a number of detours and stops along the way), I needed refreshment. The problem was: who is open at 10:50pm at night? Piassa Injera (ፒያሳ እንጀራ ቅመማ ቅመም እና ቁርስ ቤት) was.
It was a great relief to find the door open, and cool bottles of water in the fridge at that hour. I loved the late night atmosphere inside the shop. There were a number of people around a table near the back having a good time, talking, laughing. This was like the old country where my family is from.
The shopkeeper helped me with my Amharic language skills, and then I was off to complete my task of photographing the neighbourhoods of Parliament Street. አመሰግናለሁ (I got the pronunciation now).“

“Was only popping in because I was lost. Told myself it’s not bad. It’s (an Ethiopian place) have never felt more at home. People were kind, didn’t speak much English at all, but relaxing. Had a double vodka. Place was clean.Very nice and not down my throat only to help.Thank you!“

“Nice spot on the Danforth if you want a light lunch. There’s a small patio. Cafeteria style. We ordered a BLT and a grilled sandwich - black forest ham and Swiss cheese. They were both tasty but a little on the expensive side for simple sandwiches. The food was good so we’ll visit again and definitely recommend to others.“

“Service here is top notch! The servers are so sweet and attentive. Marta and Salam were great! Bonus: food tastes great and is super authentic! 100% would recommend if you’re looking for Ethiopian cuisine. P.S. Get the timatim fit-fit, trust me.“
