“Came here around 10:30 AM and had to wait a bit since space is super limited in this tiny corner spot on St. Clarens! The service was on the slower side, but that’s completely understandable given the small setup and focus on quality over high turnover.

The standouts were definitely the Blueberry Lemon Curd Pancakes—absolutely delectable! I'm back home in Winnipeg and still thinking about them. We also ordered cappuccinos, which were top-notch. My husband had the bacon and eggs with house potatoes; the potatoes were cut a bit too large for my personal taste, but the taco seasoning gave them a nice, unique flare.

A concise menu, but you can tell they focus on making each item really count. Definitely worth a visit if you have a little extra time!“

“Really cute patio with the nicest staff! My friend and I ordered the breakfast sandwich, egg and mushroom tartine, and tator tots. Everything was flavourful and filling. The best part is the staff are super chill and one of them lent me their phone to call my own when I had dropped it a block after I left. Sorry to the nearby customers who were trying to enjoy their food as I was panicking and calling the person who picked up my phone (shout out to them as well for being a nice stranger). Thank you!!“

“LOVE this place! The most delicious burrittos I've ever had! AND had to take 1/2 of them home as they were so filling. I had the shrimp while my friend had the smoked lamb and we shared them. Both were excellent. We loved sitting at the window table and watching everyone on College St. walk by with their dogs. Also $10 for a glass of Prosecco!?! Bargain! Decent prices and great service and atmosphere. We will be back. PS. Great place to hang out before a show at The Royal Theatre literally steps away.“

“We hosted our wedding shower here recently and highly recommend Blooming Batter for all bridal showers, baby showers or special events!
The space is naturally beautiful and airy; the staff were so hospitable and kept the mimosas and good vibes flowing all event long.

“Literally a hidden gem in old Toronto area, we ended up going there for a brunch as on a rainy Sunday morning the place where we wanted to go had 45 minutes waiting list, however was so glad that happened so we were able to experience this place, 10/10 food and for the price its definitely worth it, will definitely go back!!!!!“

Turkish breakfast platter was a 9/10 since it was good but they only put half a bagel?
AC on but door is open, outside patio
Watermelon hibiscus 7/10 for my friend but I would rate it a 3/10. It’s not sweet at all, nearly flavourless, and you barely taste the hibiscus.
Lemonade 1000/10 but maybe because I’m a sour girly?
Chefs have high hair up but not in a net which is not my favourite but that’s okay! No problems with hair in my food.

“the online menu is outdated the food is good ,my go to sunday pick up breakfest spot, i hae neer had a bad meal here,sometimes what u get is different than what the menu says and the price change at time s but over all for good home cooked meals this is a good spot for pick up or eat in,“

“Eggspectation was an excellent start to our morning. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it a great spot for breakfast.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The omelette was packed with fresh vegetables, the fruit was ripe and refreshing, and they had no problem accommodating a simple grilled chicken request for extra protein. The classic breakfast was cooked perfectly, with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy breakfast potatoes, tasty sausages, and delicious strawberry crepes that were light and not overly sweet.

Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food came out quickly, and everything we requested was handled without issue.
