He personally serves guests and pays attention not only to every detail of the menu, but also to the atmosphere, communication, and overall experience.

We were even treated to extra cookies while hearing the story behind some of the recipes and inspirations. You can tell he collects ideas and recipes from around the world with genuine passion to bring people the very best. Everything tastes thoughtful, authentic, and made with care.

“Good food and cozy space amongst residential areas in Bloordale. Went there for brunch and sat on their patio. Walk ins only which is quite nice. We waited for about 20-30 mins for our table, which we didn’t mind as the weather was cooperative. There’s also a lot of other places to explore in the
neighbourhood while you wait anyway.

Ordered the following: pandan pancake, bo ne, iced shaken butterscotch latte and pandan whipped coffee. Price is standard for brunch in the city, and most importantly everything is made from scratch. Food presentation is thoughtful and the menu is not overwhelmed with choices.

Service was ok, nothing remarkable but there is room for improvement. Our server was nice, and our order came out nicely anyway.

Lastly, please disclose your allergies especially if you’re allergic to shellfish. They do serve a crab omelette, and I believe cross contamination is quite possible in their kitchen as I had an allergic reaction afterwards. This detail serves as a reminder to those with food allergies.“

“Different twist on brunch. You get your classics but with a Japanese touch, drinks are spot on, service was on point, and food taste fresh and made to order.“

“This is a great little gem in Toronto's Junction neighborhood. The brunch was delicious. We had the specials. Their home fries are the most unique and delicious fries I have ever eaten. They also have a cool waitlist option that they use to seat their guests. The servers are very polite and friendly.“

“LOVE this place! The most delicious burrittos I've ever had! AND had to take 1/2 of them home as they were so filling. I had the shrimp while my friend had the smoked lamb and we shared them. Both were excellent. We loved sitting at the window table and watching everyone on College St. walk by with their dogs. Also $10 for a glass of Prosecco!?! Bargain! Decent prices and great service and atmosphere. We will be back. PS. Great place to hang out before a show at The Royal Theatre literally steps away.“

“Really cute patio with the nicest staff! My friend and I ordered the breakfast sandwich, egg and mushroom tartine, and tator tots. Everything was flavourful and filling. The best part is the staff are super chill and one of them lent me their phone to call my own when I had dropped it a block after I left. Sorry to the nearby customers who were trying to enjoy their food as I was panicking and calling the person who picked up my phone (shout out to them as well for being a nice stranger). Thank you!!“

“Solkatt Cafe is a fantastic brunch spot with a vibrant & colourful atmosphere and beautifully plated dishes. The menu feels thoughtfully curated, and everything tastes fresh and well-balanced, especially their pastries and coffee. We visited Solkatt for brunch on a Sunday and had their strawberry matcha pancake with some of their new sandwiches, all of which were delicious. Not to mention that this cafe is conveniently located right next to TTC station!“

“Was yummy! I got the smoked salmon plate, and it was perfect, no notes. The hot sauce they give for the potatoes is so good too, I wonder what’s in it.

I do see people complaining about portions size and I get why, but more than this I think you’d be too full haha.

You pay first and the people working there are nice, there’s a patio as well if you’d like to sit outside!

“the online menu is outdated the food is good ,my go to sunday pick up breakfest spot, i hae neer had a bad meal here,sometimes what u get is different than what the menu says and the price change at time s but over all for good home cooked meals this is a good spot for pick up or eat in,“

“Eggspectation was an excellent start to our morning. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it a great spot for breakfast.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The omelette was packed with fresh vegetables, the fruit was ripe and refreshing, and they had no problem accommodating a simple grilled chicken request for extra protein. The classic breakfast was cooked perfectly, with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy breakfast potatoes, tasty sausages, and delicious strawberry crepes that were light and not overly sweet.

Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food came out quickly, and everything we requested was handled without issue.
