The jollof rice had that perfect smoky flavor with well-cooked grains that weren’t mushy. The Ayamase pepper sauce was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor - the meat was incredibly tender.
Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented.
The owner is also an absolute delight and all
encounters with her have been pleasant and lovely.

“I recently had The Sun Barbecue Co. cater my party, and it was honestly one of the highlights of the entire event. From the food quality to the presentation, everything exceeded expectations and left all of my guests raving.
The spread they prepared was incredible. The turon was perfectly crispy and caramelized, with that amazing sweet crunch that disappeared almost immediately once people started trying it. The fried giant prawns were a huge hit — perfectly cooked, lightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. They were one of the first dishes to go.
The fried rice with shrimp and vegetables was another standout. It was fragrant, well-balanced, and loaded with shrimp and fresh veggies — not just filler rice like you sometimes get with catering. Guests kept going back for seconds because it was that good.
The fried chicken wings were honestly unforgettable. They were enormous in size, perfectly crispy, and incredibly juicy. Multiple people commented on how big they were and how well-seasoned they tasted.
They also prepared a beautiful mixed vegetable and tofu dish that had an amazing variety of vegetables, cooked perfectly so everything still had great texture and flavor. It was the perfect balance to the rest of the dishes and showed how much care goes into their cooking.
To finish everything off, they served a sunflower mango pudding that looked as amazing as it tasted. It was beautifully presented, light, refreshing, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Beyond the food itself, the team at The Sun Barbecue Co. was incredibly professional, organized, and easy to work with. Catering a party can be stressful, but they made everything smooth and effortless.
So many of my guests asked where the food came from, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for catering for a party or special event. Amazing food, generous portions, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do.

“I have been ordering lunch from this establishment for a long time. The Indian Cuisine is fantastic! It has wide variety of offerings of North Indian cuisine and fusion Indian cuisine. “Found this hidden gem through Google. You can easily missed the entrance if you aren't careful as well.
The store is clean and the service was great! Friendly and gave that warm 'mom & pop' shop vibe.
The food we had were meat lover omelette and Greek omelette. Both were very good. Portions were big and filling and the taste was really great. They did not cheap on the quantity of the meat at all.
The price were really inexpensive for the portion you get. I highly recommend this place and I will be returning to this place again.“

“Their chicken biryani is incredible! I honestly feel like most biryanis in the GTA are all very similar and you can tell they use a very similar masala, however chachu ki biryani was very different, and their biryani tasted authentic, spicy, and reminded me of the biryani we get back home in Karachi. Price is also very reasonable. Loved it, will be back!“

“I ordered whole beef brisket and 2lbs of wings and the food was absolutely amazing. The brisket was so flavorful and not strong in the smoky flavor which I Loved, fork tender and sooo juicy. I must admit, this is yet one of the best I have tried to date. Dale thank for your amazing service. I confirmed my order night before. the brisket went in 7am in morning and 10 hours later it was on my plate. so worth the wait. highly recommended“

“Lola's Catering makes good on a promise.
I ordered 500 Puff Puffs for a work event. They were willing to take the order over the phone. I went in person for my own peace of mind. The lady at the front was patient while I finalized the order and offered no concerns with the 24hr turn around. The Puff Puffs were consistent and tastee. Those familiar with Puff Puffs enjoyed it and for others it was a great introduction to this wonderful West African snack. I would definitely use their catering services again.
Lola's also has take out snacks. I particularly enjoy the chicken sausage rolls. I also enjoyed their scotched eggs. I was not a fan of the fish sausage roll or the akara but that is a me thing, as I am only now learning to expand my pallet for Nigerian foods.
I want to address comments about their customer service. The five times I have been there I have typically walked away feeling indifferent to the service. It is neither the best nor did I feel unattended to. In fact I am thankful to the gentleman for taking his time to explain the snacks to me and engaging my banter with him. Lola's staff cares. It is evident in the quality of the food and their patience with a neophyte like myself. Cheers! Looking forward to repeated visits.“

Liz pulled off a miracle for us. I only gave her two days’ notice to feed 140 people and she delivered flawlessly. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had so many compliments on the chicken. It was tender, flavorful and truly satisfying.
The delivery experience was just as impressive. The driver was professional, kind and you could tell she genuinely enjoys working with the team. That positive energy really stood out.
If you need amazing food and outstanding service even on short notice Freshly Made Catering is the way to go.
