“I hosted my husband’s 40th birthday here with about 45 guests, and overall we had a really great experience.
First, the food was excellent. Even though it was served buffet-style, everything was warm, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell care was put into how the dishes looked and tasted, and all of my guests genuinely enjoyed it. The service was also good, staff were attentive and everything flowed smoothly throughout the night. We even had space for a dance floor and a DJ, which made the celebration really special (although I’d say 45 people is probably the max capacity, it did feel a bit tight).
I do want to share one area for improvement. The tea and coffee service was a bit disappointing. We were charged $250, which I was told later, possibly a miscommunication. It felt a bit unexpected, especially since tea and coffee are often included or minimal cost at events. While I understand it may have been due to the presentation in nicer cups, the bigger issue was that the tea wasn’t kept hot, which took away from the experience.
That said, they did go above and beyond by providing complimentary soft drinks beyond what we had agreed on, which we appreciated.
Overall, great food, good service, and a memorable night. With a bit of improvement on keeping hot beverages properly heated and clearer communication on pricing, this place would easily be a 5-star experience.“
“We had an amazing experience hiring JP Fine Foods for our backyard wedding reception's appetizers and dinner service.
All the staff working at our event were extremely friendly, polite, and so professional. Their presence ensured we could relax and enjoy the party to its fullest.
Most importantly, all the food was super delicious, and beautiful looking as well! The team accommodated our special request to serve traditional Chilean empanadas, making our entire event feel extra special.“

I called to inquire the day before I needed the meal delivered & they were so accommodating and helpful! They had the meal delivered on time to a restaurant downtown & the client was very happy with the food. Overall, great customer service and food! “Great staff, cheap decent food. However the name says Caribbean but being from Barbados and travelled throughout the islands. I can say it is just food. Need to remove the Caribbean part. Not one thing authentic from the Caribbean.But that being said decent quality food just not what it says it is“

“I had Amutham last night for the first time and everything was amazing. The owners are so kind and generous and the food was delicious. We had the biryani, rolls, kothu roti, beef curry, chili chicken, tandoori chicken and tried a Sri Lankan juice too. The spice was perfect, the flavours were amazing and the service was excellent.
I definitely recommend you check it out, I’ll be back for the idli and sambal this weekend.“

“Absolutely amazing food , I tried their kale pache earlier on , it was fresh 👌 and delicious 😋 😍 , i also had their koobideh kebab which was perfect , but this time I tried their Dizi , the most delicious Dizi that I ever experienced 😋 in Canada 🇨🇦 , I was thinking 🤔 with myself that for the taste of real Dizi you got to go to Iran 🇮🇷 , but here is their Dizi which competes with the best of the kind in Tehran
Hands down , if it wasn't because of distance I've always been here , I come from downtown Toronto to Richmond hill for their food“

“I am enjoying Protein Chefs for the meal quality and macros — a decent calorie to protein ratio compared to other meal services. However, the user friendliness of the website/ordering process does leave something to be desired. It’s not very clear and it takes a few tries to get used to the interface. Meals used to come with an ice pack but lately have been delivered without one, which is also not great if you aren’t home during the delivery window. I don’t love being charged extra for delivery, but I do like the cooler bag that meals come in. Would love to see a program in place to return/reuse cooler bags for a discount on future meal orders.“
“I have to say. Yesterday being one of most difficult days bury my father in law. Peter and Paul’s catered our reception at Jerrett Funeral home and taken so much stress off the family. The food was amazing and the two young mens that was catering did a fabulous job. They where so professional and polite. “Village Kitchen serves authentic African cuisine that hits the spot every time!
The jollof rice had that perfect smoky flavor with well-cooked grains that weren’t mushy. The Ayamase pepper sauce was rich, spicy, and packed with flavor - the meat was incredibly tender.
Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The food arrived hot and beautifully presented.
The owner is also an absolute delight and all
encounters with her have been pleasant and lovely.

“Gabe (Chef Revolution) is top shelf. After hearing from several trusted references, we hired Gabe to cater a dinner with 8 friends. His menu choices and suggestions were flexible to guest dietary needs, and the final menu was incredible. We savoured his blackened salmon with mango salsa and wild leek sauce. The vegy side of zucchini, asparagus, and red peppers was equally delicious. His fee is very reasonable and customer care outstanding. We will definitely ask Gabe to cater future dinners. “Lola's Catering makes good on a promise.
I ordered 500 Puff Puffs for a work event. They were willing to take the order over the phone. I went in person for my own peace of mind. The lady at the front was patient while I finalized the order and offered no concerns with the 24hr turn around. The Puff Puffs were consistent and tastee. Those familiar with Puff Puffs enjoyed it and for others it was a great introduction to this wonderful West African snack. I would definitely use their catering services again.
Lola's also has take out snacks. I particularly enjoy the chicken sausage rolls. I also enjoyed their scotched eggs. I was not a fan of the fish sausage roll or the akara but that is a me thing, as I am only now learning to expand my pallet for Nigerian foods.
I want to address comments about their customer service. The five times I have been there I have typically walked away feeling indifferent to the service. It is neither the best nor did I feel unattended to. In fact I am thankful to the gentleman for taking his time to explain the snacks to me and engaging my banter with him. Lola's staff cares. It is evident in the quality of the food and their patience with a neophyte like myself. Cheers! Looking forward to repeated visits.“

“Used Sweetwater for the very first time last week for our rehearsal dinner function. I had been to 2 functions catered by Sweetwater recently. We were quite a distance away (in Oakville) and they had no issues/problem in catering our event. The food at our function was absolutely incredible. They planned the entire menu, sending along for approval/changes/suggestions.There were attendees with food allergies and issues and Sweetwater accommodated everyone perfectly. Our guests raved about not only the food but the presentation and the service. We hired 2 servers and they were a godsend.I would not hesitate in recommending this amazing company.We fully intend on using them again.“

“I’ve been waiting for good elevated Filipino cuisine and it’s finally here! Traditional ingredients and flavours mixed in with modern twists. All the plates were surprising yet nostalgic at the same time. Dishes were served by the chef himself too. My only critique was the crispy pata skin was a tad tough but this is an easy fix. As a Filipino I’m glad to see our cuisine highlighted in fine dining. Can’t wait to see more from Kusinero.“

“We used Golden Quality Catering while staying in Toronto for a swim meet. Nancy was wonderful to deal with. “Very nice people! I am 9 months pregnant and have weird cravings, so I asked for the grilled chicken wrap, but in a ciabatta. And they still made it for me even though it was not on the menu, it was a lunch meal and I was there at 8:30 AM ?. Before I left, the lady also gave me a muffin on the house. Highly recommend!“
