“Ive been going here since i was in my early teen years the chicken or combination Shawarma are my go to items although ive tasted the majority of their menu and its all fabulous.the ingredients are always fresh and homemade sauces are fantastic. The owners and staff are absolutely some of the nicest people always welcoming you with smiles and light hearted conversations. I grew up eating here and my kids have been in too now . I have to say im somewhat addicted to their food I crave it because its that good. I moved to bc 4 years ago and its the only place (restaurant wise )in Toronto I miss so much. Not ashamed to admit I actually cried the laat time i went in knowing it would be a good while before id be able to be there again , the owners almost feel like family after almost 25 years of coming to this spot . Im returning to Toronto for a visit this summer and you better believe one of the First things ill do is pop in and order 2 sandwiches and catch up with the amazing staff.“

“Holy crap. Got the jerk chicken plate. I swear I turned into the Tasmanian Devil gobbling it up. Barely remembered to take a pic. Felt like a caveman eating cooked meat for the first time. Delectable and will be back next time I’m around just because of the food.

Cherry on top is the hospitality. Everyone behind the counter was friendly, and they made sure I was satisfied with what I’d be getting at every step. These guys are fun to chat with while they make your food and it tastes delicious.

“The food here is amazing! I don't know how the prepare the rice but it is so good. Huge portions of meat as well. I had the chicken gyro with rice, tatziki and hummus and was blown away by the quality. Do yourself a favour and go try it, you won't be disappointed.“

“WOW. The familiar font on the sign of of Leros Grill was representive of a magical experience I had amongst a sea of cheap, lazy takeout spots that have sadly opened over the last little while across the GTA.

Upon walking in, I was acknowkedged by both the friendly Gladys and John behind the counter with a hello and smile. I then noticed the obvious care and dedication to keeping a clean (takeout and sit-down) restaurant, the unfortunately uncommon crispy fresh and chilled toppings behind a clean glass, and an easy to follow menu with unicorn GTA pricing. I was actually getting excited for once to try something new and went and ordered a large falafel from John for $10.99. At least $5 cheaper then many places around that would only be serving the regular size. After tax and tip, it was a very reasonable $14.88 total!

I went over to Gladys who was preparing the food, where she smiled at me and asked if I'd like all the toppings while she started pulling out TWO pitas!! A large at Leros Grill is actually an extended wrap by two overlapping pitas! I couldn't believe it and was already thankful I had taken the chance and walked in. She began generously adding toppings that you can tell are diligently paid attention to for freshness. I also did not notice cores in the tomato slices. What a rare sight to behold that sadly is uncommon these days. She then added these massive, homemade, freshly made golden falafel balls and carefully rolled up my wrap which was around the size of my lower forearm. She laid it across the grill press which needed both grill tops pressed down to crisp it up, while I patiently waited for lunch staring at it in disbelief. It's been awhile where I was that excited to try something new. With the prices of everything so high these days, the bar keeps getting higher of how good something needs to be to justify the continuously increasing prices.

I sat down at a clean table, in a very clean dining area and proceeded to wolf down this behemoth of a falafel only interrupting my enjoyment to tell John how great it was. You could tell he was proud of his product and the whole experience reflected the pride that him and Gladys take in serving delicious food at more than reasonable prices.

I used to work in the food industry and have great appreciation for owners who care about every detail and still put food quality first over profits. In the long run you build loyal customers (like I have just become) who want to share positive experiences at a new place they stumbled across. Cutting corners to maximize profits only works with those types who don’t know or care about the difference between high quality and mediocrity.

John and I had a nice chat after I was finished and I commended him for offering such a great product when he is one of the toughest businesses to make a profit with never-ending rising costs for brick and motar small business owners.

I look forward to returning soon to this little food magic kingdom, just tucked away in a plaza at Victoria Park Ave. and Lawrence Ave. E..

“The guy here is working alone, but even though he was busy, he was still very attentive and was able to help everybody and give their food right away at on time, literally, our favourite place to go ever since we moved out of Scarborough we’ve hardly gone to the spot, but I’m so glad that we were able to come today because it’s literally the best Shawarma!“

“Stopped by for a late night, homemade-like snack with my husband (they're open until midnight). The service was amazing!! Super kind and friendly staff, they even gave us fries for tasting with their homemade garlic sauce/aioli and we ended up getting some because they were SO GOOD! 😋 We ordered their 2 chicken shawarma special and it was beyond delicious. 🤤 The prices are amazing and there are lots of other deals and combos to save and enjoy good quality food that is ready to go in less than 10 minutes! We had an amazing experience, despite it being 11:30 p.m. they treated us like we were their first customers of the day and gave us that heartwarming feeling that no chain restaurant will ever be able to replicate. Will definitely be back!“
