“Have had drip coffees, lattes, cortado and Americanos here and they were all great! The barista is super friendly and very helpful when recommending coffees too. Lastly I'd also highly recommend buying the beans here, every variety I've gotten has been excellent.“
“I got a decaf banana Bread Latte. It was delicious! With no tip the latte was $8, so not cheap. I wish the sizes went up to 16 oz, because for $8 you're paying for a standard 12 oz medium latte. The staff were great, they have cute things to buy there (the to go mugs almost got me). Space wise there are sit down options, not huge, but you can easily spend an hour or so there. I'd go back, but just for a treat, and not as a regular.“
“Had a wonderful visit to Toronto with 2 mornings spent at Ethica! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is top tier for greb-and-go coffeeshop vibes, and I had the most flavorful flat white I (someone who grew up in the coffee industry, and who drinks one almost daily) has ever had! Only complaint was from some people who got drip or pour over but preferred a darker roastVegetarian options: Breakfast sammy was amazing!“
“Found is a great little Aussie coffee shop here in the 6. The coffee was excellent on par with Melbourne’s offer. The problem is why is an Aussie coffee shop still asking for tips? This is 2022 — please pay your servers a livable wage and don’t have them needing to leer over customers on the iPad register.“
“Amazing place with great food and cafe vibes☕️ great for chilling or getting work done! For drinks, we got a hot matcha latte and a hot mocha (it was cool that you could choose the chocolate base for the mocha!) Craving for sweet food, we also went ahead and got three cookies?they were DELICIOUS!! Would rate the salted chocolate cookie > oatmeal raisin cookie > peanut butter cookie?Would definitely recommend to give it a try!! Will revisit this hidden gem soon “
“My favourite place to get coffee. Amazing coffee and super friendly staff! Although I noticed the place has been really cold and I would assume it is probably the last thing you would want in such freezing weather. Too bad because I would love to sit and relax it weren’t for the cold. Hope it gets fixed soon!“
“Friendly staff, good focusing atmosphere, and the best vegan donuts. The only con is that you have to get here early to get a seat because the place is so small, but isn't that kind of a pro too? Plus they have good internet, nice little outside seating in good weather, and they put so much tea in their tea bags that they can actually be used twice and still taste good!2022 Update: they have limiting seating since COVID and don’t carry Bloomers donuts anymore, BUT their coffee is awesome and they still have several vegan baked goods including my new fave: pain au chocolat!2024 Update: Indoor seating is back and there is a nice backyard patio. I still love their coffee and their vegan treats. They could have more in the way of vegan savory options. I love their espresso roasts and their half-caf beans. This is my favourite local roaster.“
“Great Atmosphere. Amazing variety of different weekly specials. I tried the Blue Sakura. Service was also great, the barista working was so calm and focused even with the rush of people ordering. Perfect to sit and have a talk, study by yourself or get some work done.“
“a legendary place in the Kensington Market, has been there forever. Great coffee and wonderful atmosphere. there are back and front patios for warmer weather and two rooms with quite a few tables inside. lots of dairy alternatives, like soy, almond or oat "milk." coffee and tea for here, and also can be bought in bulk for at home use. Super nice and friendly, and very fast and attentive staff. There is also good selection of pastries. a total opposite of a cafe chain establishment. I highly recommend!“
“This is a very nice coffee place. Especially on a Sunday with an abundance of children and parents reading stories to their families. There is no music. Or at least, there was no music when we were there. The decor is a tad severe in the sense of an abundant of hard services that make the acoustics not very good.“
“Probably the best place in the city for coffee. The only true coffee shops I've found in the city are Fahrenheit and Third Wave and they usually have 3 beans on offer but these guys had 10! Incredible! If MC Hammer were to do a commercial for these guys he wouldn't do no ridiculous dance in no ridiculous pants. He would just look at the camera and go, "proper!"“
“JAVA has decent coffee beans here for filter coffee. I really liked their package design. The owners are awesome. Their prices are also good, and their flavour descriptions looked delicate. Nevertheless, if compared to some of the top coffee roasters in Toronto and in the world, there are rooms for improvements on the coffee quality and taste. Look forward to restock my coffee shelf from JAVA in the future.“
“Such a cute cafe this was. Food was kinda on the pricey side but it was very tasty and healthy so that makes it up for it. The coffee was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, the staffs were welcoming, it’s a 5/5 experience for me. Will definitely go back again.“
“Amazing dark roast coffee and their customer service is top notch. I ordered a 2lbs dark roast coffee online and the entire process was easy. They go above and beyond to ensure quick delivery and make their customers happy. I definitely recommend this coffee roasters.“
“Visited this place few days back and had a wonderful experience. This place offers an amazing selection of drinks, pastries, and croissants. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the pastries were fresh and delicious. The ambiance was cozy, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I would highly recommend De Mello for anyone looking for a great coffee and pastry experience in the city.“
“Came here to study for a couple hours; vibe was nice and I was able to get a lot of work done. There’s also a lot of seating which was nice. I tried the iced matcha latte which was kind of expensive and tasted okay. Might visit again to study :)“
“Cute cafe on Ossington. I loved their variety of pastries and the amount of natural light in the space. It was cozy and a nice place to spend a slow morning. Note: they don't have free wifi, so a great place to meet a friend and chat but probably not to work. Good variety of seating too!“
“I wish I could go beyond 5 stars! This place is currently my favourite coffee shop. From the costumer service to the coffee experience everything is amazing! Juan, gives amazing insights to help you navigate your coffee journey and has helped me discover new notes and flavours. My favourite order so far is the Long Black, a must try if you are a coffee lover!“
“I was visiting family in Toronto and we were visiting Liberty Village. We wanted to get a drink so went to Balzac's. It's a really nice coffee shop and I loved that the tiled floor matches the pattern on their cups. We ordered our drinks and they were prepared really quickly. They were hot and tasty.“
“Cappuccino ($4) has an ashy, smoky, and roasty flavor profile. It was delicious and also VERY hot compared to other cafes.Cafe has enough seating for about 16 people and is busy, I was lucky to catch a table. Lovely place to work on a laptop for hours since they provide free tap water, restroom, and outlets.Service was also very kind and personable, the baristas had lovely smiles on their faces.“
“OMG I was such a klutz; bumped the table and spilled my latte everywhere. One of the baristas was over in a second to clean everything and make me a new one. And it wasn’t just the service that impressed me… the prices are the most reasonable I’ve seen in the past decade, the latte was unbelievably tasty, and they were very quick with their service. I wish I lived in this city so I could come here alllllll the time. Definitely bought some beans to go. Thank you for the great experience ❤️“
“I discovered Coffee Tree when I lived in the Bloor West neighbourhood, amazing beans, very friendly staff. Now, though I live a little further away, I return regularly to enjoy their warm environment and stock up on my coffee and tree supply for home. I'm grateful to see, during COVID, that you're continuing to deliver! You definitely provide an essential service for me.“
“The renowned pilot roasters lives up to its nameGreat espresso. Very smooth and perfectly steamed milk. Espresso goes down really nicely that I had to hold back so I could enjoy it longer. Cortado was perfect, which I forgot to snap a pic of and the latte was also on pointThe place has a minimalist aesthetic and very nice cafe vibe. On nice days, you can sit outside on their patio tooThey also have their roasts ready along a wall where you can browse that and other coffee paraphernaliaBarista was super friendly striking up a convo with my friend and I, which was niceGreat job overall!“
“Cafe Nordique and the Citro-Booster were phenomenal, as always. Tables are crowded together (especially if one gas luggage) and there aren't enough. I had to sit on the ledge by the crates and kept banging my head on a sign. I suppose one could say that people aren't there too long if going to Pearson, however, I was there for a good 20 minutes and a trio of young men were there longer and taking up 2 tables plus part of the ledge I was perched on.“
“A Raspberry Mocha from @halecoffeeA unique blend of Raspberry and chocolate that tastes so familiar and delicious. We also tried their freshly baked sourdough and it is just perfection. You must check out this coffee spot in Toronto which has a chill California vibe to it located in a Clock Factory Building.Try this weekend:Hale Coffee?300 Campbell Ave, Toronto“
“Had a wonderful time at Plearn Cafe.. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend ☆☆☆☆☆ Good Vibe A great place to chill and hangout. The drink's sweetness was just right, no need to ask for less sugar. ☆☆☆☆☆ Kids friendly My 3yo toddler approved.“
“The ladies here are lovely and my kids love their cookies. They are huge!My special favourite thing is their hazelnut mocha. So lovely :)I also find the large table to throw me off but my kids don't seem to mind it so gonna live with it!“
“A cafe opened by Hongkonger embedded with lots of details. They have two kind of coffee beans you can go for, which are fruity and nutty. They also offer hand drip coffee. Music was amazing too because I love jazz and classic genres. It’s a nice place to have a chat with your friend or spending some me time by the window. Will definitely go back!Parking: The parking is just right behind the cafe, where the back entrance is.“
