I would come here to get a coffee and get away from the bust st Lawrence market. Atmosphere: 5 stars. A very cozy place. People are reading books. Having a conversation. There are a few large desks where people brought laptops and are doing work. There is enough space to sit down. Coffee: (3 stars) The coffee is ok, nothing special. Service: Friendly staff.
I’ve been coming to this location since 2016 as it’s one block from my home. The coffee is great. The food and desserts are decent. The reason I only left three stars is because a few of the employees make you feel like an inconvenience. I’m not sure if their lack of hospitality is because they are treated poorly by management, don’t like the high paced environment or if they are naturally rude people. Maybe a combination of all three.

All I was hunting for was good espresso. While the espresso was decent, it probably reduced in flavor because of the barista's attitude, who I think was not enthusiastic about their job and impolite towards customer. Again, might have been their work pressure. Noticed only one barista on a busy afternoon.
