“Really good Oat Milk Mocha and Americanos. They put a lot of care into making their coffee beverages. Some of the best whole beans I have had as well. The staff are knowledgable and give great recommendations for which beans to get for flavour and type of use.“

Java Works Coffee Coffee Roasteries •
1260 Martin Grove Rd, Etobicoke

“I really liked the 12 oz bag of English Toffee flavored coffee I bought on Amazon and wanted to buy bulk size so I could make batches of cold-brew coffee at home. I was glad to see they offered larger 2 lbs bags directly on their website so I decided to order some after seeing reviews of speedy shipping and speedy delivery. My shipment unfortunately got stuck without moving for a week (carrier left it sitting in their office unscanned, no fault of Java Works) and I was disappointed initially. However, after I reached out, the Java Works support team did go above and beyond to make things right with me. They contacted the carrier to look into the stuck package and gave me a bonus for the trouble. Once the package was finally scanned in and moving, it delivered to me in about 2 business days (though in total took 7-8 business days, due to carrier error).“

“I love the urban, minimalist design of this coffee shop. The espresso is top-notch, and their pistachio croissants are the best in town. It's a great place to unwind or get some work done. They also serve a variety of bread and pastries, a must-try for pizza lovers like me!“

“Came here with my friend for lunch, and it was a lovely outing! I had their egg salad sandwich and iced mocha and both were really delicious! The mocha was less chocolatey than I had anticipated, but the quality of the espresso still more than made up for that, and the interior feels so classic and rustic. Definitely coming back again for future visits!“

“Had a wonderful visit to Toronto with 2 mornings spent at Ethica! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is top tier for greb-and-go coffeeshop vibes, and I had the most flavorful flat white I (someone who grew up in the coffee industry, and who drinks one almost daily) has ever had! Only complaint was from some people who got drip or pour over but preferred a darker roastVegetarian options: Breakfast sammy was amazing!“

Outpost Coffee Roasters Ltd Coffee Roasteries • $
1578 Bloor St W, Toronto - 6.52 miles

“Friendly staff, good focusing atmosphere, and the best vegan donuts. The only con is that you have to get here early to get a seat because the place is so small, but isn't that kind of a pro too? Plus they have good internet, nice little outside seating in good weather, and they put so much tea in their tea bags that they can actually be used twice and still taste good!2022 Update: they have limiting seating since COVID and don’t carry Bloomers donuts anymore, BUT their coffee is awesome and they still have several vegan baked goods including my new fave: pain au chocolat!2024 Update: Indoor seating is back and there is a nice backyard patio. I still love their coffee and their vegan treats. They could have more in the way of vegan savory options. I love their espresso roasts and their half-caf beans. This is my favourite local roaster.“

I would highly recommend this brand - very good customer service and a really nice selection of beans. I've tried multiple types of their coffee beans so far - Alto, Colombia, and Appian - and all have been great.“

“Great cafe tucked back off the main road. It’s in an old building and they have done a great job making it feel new while still keeping the history. The coffee is fantastic. The service is ok, they are just so busy that they just seem to care about getting orders out but don’t really have a personal touch you’d hope for at a cafe. If I’m going to $5 for a coffee I’d hope it’s more than just the coffee that is good.“

“This is a very nice coffee place. Especially on a Sunday with an abundance of children and parents reading stories to their families. There is no music. Or at least, there was no music when we were there. The decor is a tad severe in the sense of an abundant of hard services that make the acoustics not very good.“
