Had a reservation on a Saturday night early (5pm) to eat at Sorrel. we were looking forward to a very nice family meal and time, since we had not eaten there in a while. What a disappointment. Service was a mixed bag of disorganization and neglect. Table had so many glasses that we could barely place anything else. Waiter then promptly spilled a glass of water. Sorrel continues to be one of the finest restaurants in Toronto - but for slightly different reasons than you might expect. The service is impeccable, comfortable, professional, and their many years of experience has led to an aesthetic which is highly polished.
