The highlight for me was definitely the raw bar — everything tasted incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The oysters were briny and clean, and the seafood dishes were prepared with great attention to detail. Service was warm, attentive, and never rushed.

Lucie strikes a nice balance between refined dining and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a Michelin-recognized spot in Toronto with excellent seafood and a great wine program, this is definitely worth a visit.“

“I was really blown away by this place. The food was incredibly delicious at a very reasonable price for what you are getting which is rare to say for a steakhouse. When compared to say the keg you are paying about the same price for food that is way tastier and a better portion. Will try out some other things the next time I come besides the steak/cordon bleu as there seems to be many offerings on the menu. Also our server was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to please, making the experience that much better. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hidden gem.“

“I was keeping in touch with this place since september 2025 cause I really want something special with my husband for our 10th anniversary together and the only thing I can say is this place was more than perfect. We've got an incredible waiter (Joydeep), we've got a lot of restriction with all the allergies I've got and the fact my husband is cœliac and they take care of both of us all night long. All the money we spend here worth it and if you need a place where they take care of you, this is the place! Just take you're reservation in advance and they will do something for you. “Really aesthetic restaurant. Friendly staff and amazing tasting brunch. We tried the famous french toast, steak and eggs, eggs Hemingway and eggs florentine, all tasted really really good. They come in generous portions as well. If you go with a big group I suggest sharing a French Toast with the table and also their brunch savory options.“

“The place is gorgeous and the food was good especially the fries. The cocktail suggested by the waiter was a really nice take on a Manhattan and his wine suggestions were also a hit. Everything was done well but nothing really popped for me. However I do suggest it as a place to try out.“

“After over 12 years of bringing almost every friend I have to BC, I finally got to celebrate my August birthday in the restaurant( which is usually closed in August) with 19 guests. From the organization to the execution, the evening was superlative. Maya and Hiro know how to be professional, fun, flexible and outstanding! “Went here for Valentine’s Day with my husband. The staff and servers were fantastic. There was limited seating so we had to sit beside another couple. As this was not ideal on Valentine’s Day, it didn’t take away from our experience too much.

We paid for a 5 course dinner. This was an overkill in my opinion as we had two mains, chicken with potatoes, and filet mignon with veggies. The former was a little dry in my opinion and the later was cooked perfectly but nothing wow. I wish I had the filet mignon before the chicken. I believe I would have appreciated it more. The apps and dessert were my favourite - caprese salad, lobster bisque, and crème brûle.

This was great to experience once. I’ll definitely try different locations abroad and pick less items.“

I love ordering from these people the food is high end restaurant quality, starter, main course and delicious dessert always in generous portions.The menus are creative and a wonderful stay at home date night meal.I can’t wait to see what the next offering will be and I know I’ll be booking right away!“

“We had our first dinner at Maison T on June 25. The food was excellent (short ribs and duck breast were our mains). The service was attentive, prompt and very personalized (our son and daughter-in-law were with us and had dined there for their anniversary). Kudos to the excellent chef and Carolina.“

“The place is so cute! It’s very rustic in the best way. The food is impeccable. I had the Elk Sliders as well as both Oysters they offer and a cold beer from Town Brewery. Everything was incredible. Service was top notch. Austin was very hospitable as well as very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place for date night, girls night or just a solo night.“

“Incredible spot. We visited for the first time over a week ago and it was truly a memorable experience. The ambiance is captivating and makes you feel as if you are in Paris. The food was delicious and I loved the exposed kitchen in the heart of the restaurant.

“We got the rack of lamb "cook it yourself" kit on Friday; with the sides it's an amazing value and made an absolutely superb dinner. There was an error in my order, (understandable at 7 pm on a Friday) but the team went the extra mile to make it right. I highly recommend their meals for takeout, and I'm really looking forward to dining in on their extended menu when the lockdown is over.“

“Came down for summerlicious. Despite being light on customers the service was quite spotty. Couldn't keep the orders/customer straight. Food was just ok, which was unexpected since summerlicious also seeks to encourage people to return.“

“I had such a lovely experience here. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable, and truly inviting.

Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious and perfectly presented. I especially loved the fruit tart, which was topped with a generous amount of fresh, vibrant berries. My coffee also arrived with beautiful heart-shaped latte art.

This is a wonderful spot to relax. I am already looking forward to my next visit.“

“A very cosy uptown restaurant ! I have been several times over the years and it never disappoints. Was there again last night and have to say the veal scallopini was excellent. It was a tough choice as there are so many delicious things on the menu. The friendly and excellent service, food and ambiance was perfect. A big thank you to the staff for such an enjoyable evening. “What a great little gem hidden in mid block on Danforth.
They have a lovely assortment of cookies candies cheese foie gras and condiments from France.
They even had pastries to go!
I saw they carry the hot chocolate from Angelina’s in Paris to take home as well.
A great little shop with many treasures to learn about and explore.“

“I occasionally order the blackened branzino to go and through various delivery apps when I’m too lazy to cook at home. Avant Gout has some great picks especially when you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for. The branzino is cooked to perfection, nice sauce on the base, roasted potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Interior of the restaurant is a little out dated however it doesn’t take away from the good food they serve.

I’ll continue joining them, as it’s consistent and healthy compared to other options out there. Little on the pricy side.“

“This is my first time trying out French food. I chose this place because this is one of the only French restaurants that are open for lunch. I wanted to try Beef bourguignon but they only serve it for dinner, so I was recommended coq au vin. I really liked the wine sauce even though I am not a big fan of alcohol in general. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the sauce was very flavorful without the strong alcohol taste.“

“Had a latte, my friend had a chocolat viennois (the best hot chocolate!) and we shared a gateaux basque. Each item was très délicieux, and the gateaux had an impeccable texture. Pretty place to eat, friendly staff and efficient service.“

“Great atmosphere and amazing food! Service was impeccable! The whole menu was fantastic but the Afonsino, Celtuce, and Monkfish were particular favourites. They fully deserve their Michelin star. The care and thought behind each dish was so evident and they were all so well balanced. Even the butter was amazing! The ambiance was great with an excellent playlist, albeit a little bit louder than expected. What I loved, which oddly some of the reviews complained about, was that we were never rushed. Timing was perfect and we had a really lovely and completely enjoyable evening that lasted about 4 hours. This obviously comes at a cost to the restaurant as they cannot turn over the table so I really appreciate and applaud them for their commitment to providing a wonderful experience for their customers. Our server was very friendly and skilled in his profession; he was so kind to help us take photos outside of the restaurant. There are so many great restaurants in Toronto but if you are deciding which one to try, I would put Edulis at the top of the list. To the great chefs and staff at Edulis, thank you so much for making our daughter’s graduation celebration a really special one!“

“Perfect spot to bring a first date, order a few things and share. I was so impressed with the flavours of the food, the yellowfin tuna Crudou was 10/10, the beef tartar, another 10/10, the halibut 8/10, French onion soup was a seven out of 10 but still enjoyable. The atmosphere is great low-key everyone doing their own thing at their table…. waitress amazing food was so good I forgot to even take 1 picture, it was beautifully plated. I was too busy eating, so sorry. I only have this photo of what was left.“

“Valeriia, I want to thank you for a perfect evening on May 2nd. You made it easy for me pre-event, in terms of your help with planning. You answered my questions as we went along and provided good advice. The event itself was a huge success. The staff were excellent in terms of knowing when to bring out food, when to pass it and when to place it on the buffet table. Staff kept the gluten free food separate which made it easy for guests to find it - you even placed the gluten free cards I had brought. Beverage service was professional and the wines Valeriia selected were enjoyed by all. I had one guest with some very specific dietary requirements and Chef made a small plate for her which was ready when she arrived which was very much appreciated. The guests commented on the quality of the food and staff. Several people said that they would now come back to Le Select for dinners. I would strongly recommend Le Select for events.“

“I found this place while accompanying my Mom to appointments at nearby Women’s College Hospital. A real gem. Good food and coffee and a good amount of seating. Great selection of teas. I especially recommend it to people visiting the hospital since the hospital food court closes fairly early; grab a snack and a drink and bring it over. It even opens early on weekends, for which I am *very* grateful. I will make a point of stopping by in the future!“

“Not a bad note at any time. Monica is a very good server who is knowledgeable, engaging but not smothering. There when needed. The food is inventive and so tasty. Small bites. Two of us ordered five dishes and loved them all. The sommelier, Tessa, makes an amazing Arancello (better than Limoncello)! Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“
