“This was our first time experiencing French cuisine at Lucie in Toronto, and it truly felt like a little escape to France. Lucie offers five distinctive dining experiences. We opted for the seven-course tasting menu, and it was such a lovely, memorable experience. Each course was beautifully presented and intentionally paced, allowing us to fully savor every bite without ever feeling rushed. The service was warm, attentive, and effortlessly refined, which made the evening even more enjoyable.

Their seven course tasting menu consisted of L’Amuse Bouche “Du Jour”, La Saint Jacques, Le Foie Gras, Le Homard, Le Bar, Le Pigeon, Le Griotte and La Banana.

La Saint Jacques was light and refreshing — delicate, bright, and the perfect way to awaken the palate. In contrast, Le Pigeon was bold and deeply flavorful, cooked to perfection with a beautiful balance of richness and refinement. Le Homard, featuring Nova Scotia lobster, was sweet, tender, and incredibly fresh, highlighting the natural brininess of the ocean. Le Bar, made with Atlantic sea bass, was equally impressive — buttery, flaky, and clean in flavour, allowing the freshness of the fish to shine through effortlessly.“

“A charming neighbourhood gem! The menu and ambiance is in keeping with a French bistro, although they do offer pizza and pasta as well. The dishes lean more towards rustic than fine dining, and could use more flavour, but portion sizes are generous.

“Really aesthetic restaurant. Friendly staff and amazing tasting brunch. We tried the famous french toast, steak and eggs, eggs Hemingway and eggs florentine, all tasted really really good. They come in generous portions as well. If you go with a big group I suggest sharing a French Toast with the table and also their brunch savory options.“

“Ngogo was one of my favorite Winterlicious lunches this season. The $27 lunch menu was incredible value and every course was genuinely delicious. The salmon tartare was a standout, and the desserts, especially the toffee pudding and white chocolate mousse, were amazing.

I’ve tried several Winterlicious lunch menus in the same price range and even higher, and this one easily came out on top. It feels underrated and deserves more attention. The space is small with a cozy mom and pop vibe, and everyone there was so warm and welcoming.“

“After over 12 years of bringing almost every friend I have to BC, I finally got to celebrate my August birthday in the restaurant( which is usually closed in August) with 19 guests. From the organization to the execution, the evening was superlative. Maya and Hiro know how to be professional, fun, flexible and outstanding! Thank you for a memorable dinner and all-round terrific time.“

“The place is gorgeous and the food was good especially the fries. The cocktail suggested by the waiter was a really nice take on a Manhattan and his wine suggestions were also a hit. Everything was done well but nothing really popped for me. However I do suggest it as a place to try out.“

“Went here for Valentine’s Day with my husband. The staff and servers were fantastic. There was limited seating so we had to sit beside another couple. As this was not ideal on Valentine’s Day, it didn’t take away from our experience too much.

We paid for a 5 course dinner. This was an overkill in my opinion as we had two mains, chicken with potatoes, and filet mignon with veggies. The former was a little dry in my opinion and the later was cooked perfectly but nothing wow. I wish I had the filet mignon before the chicken. I believe I would have appreciated it more. The apps and dessert were my favourite - caprese salad, lobster bisque, and crème brûle.

This was great to experience once. I’ll definitely try different locations abroad and pick less items.“

“I must start off by first saying, I have not had dinner In a French style restaurant, inspired or authentic in a very long time. However, the folks at La Palette ushered me back in spectacular fashion. The spot was cozy, warm, chic. I hosted my Halloween tradition there and plan to return the next time I am in toronto. The food was phenomenal, the wine selection was superb, and the desserts were perfect. The team displayed immense knowledge of their food, its pairings and combinations to enhance your experience. The vibe was very European in some essence. I had the steak fries, my fiancée had the duck confit, both dishes were tasty to the note. The steak was seasoned well and tender paired woth their in-house made butter. A solid cheat however....you must try the Malbec Cohor (Chateau Eugene), with the Ganache. Thank me later! Also Conner you rock! Sorry for calling you Sam all night, I do blame my colleagues!“

“Had a great experience from start to finish. Service was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed sitting outdoors on patio. Appetizers and Meals were perfect- good full plate and delicious. Happy Hour offering is very llmited - one beer, one wine selection, one appetizer etc, Overall value was excellent. We will be back.“

“I was keeping in touch with this place since september 2025 cause I really want something special with my husband for our 10th anniversary together and the only thing I can say is this place was more than perfect. We've got an incredible waiter (Joydeep), we've got a lot of restriction with all the allergies I've got and the fact my husband is cœliac and they take care of both of us all night long. All the money we spend here worth it and if you need a place where they take care of you, this is the place! Just take you're reservation in advance and they will do something for you. “We got the rack of lamb "cook it yourself" kit on Friday; with the sides it's an amazing value and made an absolutely superb dinner. There was an error in my order, (understandable at 7 pm on a Friday) but the team went the extra mile to make it right. I highly recommend their meals for takeout, and I'm really looking forward to dining in on their extended menu when the lockdown is over.“

Ordered the French onion soup which was very rich and cheesy, would recommend.

The server also suggested us to get the beef tartar in the main size as we wanted to also order a size of fries and it was very tasty.

Also had the chicken and duck breast which we found just being okay, cooked well but both were very chewy in texture.“

“Nice little local spot with great atmosphere. We had a group of 8 and we were well treated. We had a variety of food from tacos to seafood pasta to steak and it was all tasty. The drinks were good and they had a good choice of reasonably priced bottles of wine.“

“I wish I could give more then five stars for Maison T. This was our fifth time going to this restaurant. The food gets better very time we visit. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the ambiance is just perfect. The chef is absolutely amazing and has put together the most incredible and delicious menu you could ever want. “Valeriia, I want to thank you for a perfect evening on May 2nd. You made it easy for me pre-event, in terms of your help with planning. You answered my questions as we went along and provided good advice. The event itself was a huge success. The staff were excellent in terms of knowing when to bring out food, when to pass it and when to place it on the buffet table. Staff kept the gluten free food separate which made it easy for guests to find it - you even placed the gluten free cards I had brought. Beverage service was professional and the wines Valeriia selected were enjoyed by all. I had one guest with some very specific dietary requirements and Chef made a small plate for her which was ready when she arrived which was very much appreciated. The guests commented on the quality of the food and staff. Several people said that they would now come back to Le Select for dinners. I would strongly recommend Le Select for events.“

“Union is a nice and cozy restaurant. The cocktails we ordered (the magnolia spritz and the union martini) weren’t particularly strong. In fact, we were questioning whether they added any alcohol at all. But perhaps that’s our personal taste. The food, overall, was okay. We had the dry aged steak, fish, ribs and hen. Of the four, the fish was the tastiest dish. The hen was cooked well and the chalet sauce paired well with it. On the other hand, we were let down by the steak, which did not have any dry aged flavour whatsoever. Texturally, the ribs felt as they were cooked the day before and reheated, giving them somewhat of a stale and chewy feel. We also ordered three desserts: the orange chocolate tart, the cheesecake and the ginger cake with ice cream. I would strongly recommend the ginger cake and ice cream. The cake was sweet and fluffy and the contrast of heat and cold from the ice cream was lovely. The cheesecake was just okay but the tart was a disappointment; we left most of it on the plate. Overall, a decent experience with a couple of hits and misses.“

“A very cosy uptown restaurant ! I have been several times over the years and it never disappoints. Was there again last night and have to say the veal scallopini was excellent. “I'd you need to stock up on French sourced supplies, worth a visit. Seasonally rotated products, cheeses and butter with salt crystals (yes!) in the case by the cash. Sélections of juices, treats, pastries candies... A delightful shop. Fair warning.... Si vous parlez français à votre arrivée, vous devez continuer jusqu'à la fin.“

“Yesterday, we went to Milou for brunch to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was wonderful, and the food was delicious.

We recently moved back to the hood, and I wanted to come back here because I have great memories of brunches here 25 years ago. Well, it's still great. So come here and eat something.“

“We had a memorable meal in such a cosy environment. Could not believe how quickly four hours melted away when enjoying this amazing meal. Had a chance to meet the talented chef and the staff were very personable. The seafood and desserts were absolute highlights.“

“Had a latte, my friend had a chocolat viennois (the best hot chocolate!) and we shared a gateaux basque. Each item was très délicieux, and the gateaux had an impeccable texture. Pretty place to eat, friendly staff and efficient service.“

“The food was incredible. Music levels are moderate so it allows for meaningful conversations. Ambiance is great at the front. However, it appeared that they didn't put the same effort with the decor and service with the table behind the bar. Also, most importantly, we thought all the items on the valentines fix prix menu was included on the 85$ special. However, when I was paying the bill at the end, I realized that they added extra fees for the scallops and steak. I have no issue those items being extra $, however, the server should have informed us about the extras before. The 85$ expected bill came over 140$. The food was delicious - that's the only reason I will give this restaurant another chance with this scammy behaviour.“

“Had a great experience at Au Pain Doré Bakery at 879 Bay Street. The muffins were fresh and delicious, and the coffee was exactly what you want to start your day. The ambience is warm and inviting.

A special shoutout to the manager, Aidin, who was incredibly friendly and created a genuinely welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere. You can tell they care about the customer experience. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the area.“

“Not a bad note at any time. Monica is a very good server who is knowledgeable, engaging but not smothering. There when needed. The food is inventive and so tasty. Small bites. Two of us ordered five dishes and loved them all. The sommelier, Tessa, makes an amazing Arancello (better than Limoncello)! Her wine list is interesting and extensive, covering most types and regions, but we would have liked more bottles from Ontario, although the ones provided are all really good. We shall be back.“
