We had a parties of 5 ordered most of the dishes to try and not a single one we regretted. Not a place for everyday dining but for sure a place for special occasions. Food style is more feels like Korean fusion western mix very different than traditional highly recommend

156 Cumberland, located in the heart of Yorkville, offers a memorable Korean fusion dining experience. The food is consistently delicious, with highlights such as the tartar, potato pancake, mushroom jook, and banana milk tiramisu. The service is attentive, with servers knowledgeable about the menu and eager to recommend dishes. The interior is dimly lit and cozy, making it perfect for date nights, casual gatherings, and special occasions, blending intimacy with liveliness. While some appetizers may be pricey, the mid-sized dishes are well-portioned and tasty. Signature dishes like the mushroom jook and pork belly stand out, and the new popcorn bingsu dessert is a refreshing, not-too-sweet treat that surpasses expectations. The restaurant offers unique and flavorful dishes, and the atmosphere is deserving of its Michelin recognition. Overall, 156 Cumberland provides a high-quality Korean fusion experience that is highly recommended.
