“I first stumbled upon Diner Seoul a couple of years ago while I was in the area, and glad I decided to give it a try. Although the menu has changed a bit since my initial visit, the quality of the food has remained the same.
Diner Seoul is a cozy, family-owned restaurant serving Korean comfort food with a French-inspired twist. One of their most popular menu items is the KFC platter, available in two flavors (see below).
The food here is delicious, and the staff are always pleasant, attentive, and welcoming, which adds to the overall dining experience. They also have a small patio in the back for the warmer days.
Items I tried include:
- Bulgolgi Burger
- Beef Tartare
- Spicy & Sweet KFC Platter
- Soy & Garlic KFC Platter
- Truffle fries“

“They were not kidding about the portion size! Me and my friend split one of the pork donkatsu + an extra bowl of rice and we only barely managed to almost finish it. We also ordered a cheesy corn which was super cheesy and not too sweet. The katsu itself had an amazing crust, light and crispy even in the sauce. I’ve never had the brown sauce before and it had a sweet and tomatoey flavor. It’s not personally my preferred flavor combo but still a lovely meal overall. If I were to go back I think I’ll order the curry sauce instead.“

“We visited this restaurant during pride and I was really surprised to see that this place wasn't busy like a lot of the other ones nearby because we had a great experience here!
We tried the boneless chicken (supreme and cheesling flavors), rose tteokbokki, and corn cheese. The fried chicken was definitely the standout, perfectly crispy and moist on the inside. We would definitely recommend choosing the supreme as one of your flavors. The tteokbokki was also delicious. The cheese corn was okay; I would say I've had better at other Korean restaurants.
Our server was super fun and lively. She greeted us as soon as we walked in and made sure to clearly explain how everything in the restaurant worked (you order through tablets). The ambience isn't really anything fancy, but that's not something I really care about.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for the chicken.“

“Notably very friendly staff. Was warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant. Staff was extremely courteous and did not have to wait too long to receive my order. If anything the spot is a bit too small and they would do better with a bigger location. Overall, a great experience…“

“We visited this restaurant on a coworker’s recommendation. The restaurant was very busy, with delivery drivers constantly coming and going, but we were still able to get a table.
The bibimbap arrived sizzling hot, and the combination of fresh vegetables and bulgogi was delicious. You know what? We never had to ask the server for anything. A lovely girl kept refilling our water without being asked, and when one of us accidentally dropped a pair of chopsticks, she noticed immediately and brought a new pair😂 Even though there were five of us requesting separate bills, the server accommodated us. Great food and excellent service. I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for a delicious bibimbap!“

“Ka Chi is my go-to restaurant whenever I’m in downtown Toronto with my friends and is my favourite Korean restaurant near my university. The food is always delicious and friendly service.
My favourite dish is the bibimbap served in a hot stone bowl. I love the bulgogi and vegetables. It arrives sizzling, stays warm throughout the meal, and has such fresh, delicious flavours. I also love the complimentary gyoza.
Another bonus that I really appreciate is the self-serve side dishes. You can refill them as much as you’d like, which makes the dining experience even better.“

“One of my friends invited me here for Korean BBQ. When I first walked in, I honestly thought it probably wouldn't be my thing. We ordered the chicken and beef (I don’t remember the exact names of the dishes), they set up the grill at our table, and we cooked it ourselves. It was so yummy and delicious, and it completely exceeded my expectations!
The only minor thing is that I wish we had flat plates instead of bowls, because I didn't want my food getting soggy, but I heard its the customary way to eat it.
The staff were really friendly, brought us everything we needed, and kept refilling our veggies. I would definitely go back again!“

“The food was warm, hearty, and hit the spot. I got the ox bone soup which was very good. My friend got the seafood noodle soup and his portion was huge. Which is good, because he eats like a monster. Plenty of side dishes and they gave us refills of the ones we liked which is always a plus.
The place was busy for dinner time but it didn't feel overly crowded. 10/10, will be back to chase away the winter blues with some hot Korean stews!“

“I ate at many korean restaurants and I can say that the food is delicious. I had their army stew which had so much flavours and toppings. I enjoyed every last bit. Plus there was a 10% discount if you pay in cash. Highly recommend. I only wish they can add maybe one more side dish“

“Can easily make their bibimbap and kimbap vegan! The japchae is vegan too. Delicious food and super lovely staff! Separately have to shout out the $9 kimbap - nice option on-the-go or if you need a good filling snack. (Some pieces in the photo have more pieces under them)“

“Fun atmosphere and our server was great. Quick service and friendly. Not sure how prices compare to other places in Toronto, but it seemed on par with similar places in Chicago. Only negative part of the night was the extremely loud and chaotic table sitting directly behind us.“

“An excellent hole-in-the-wall takeout place with huge portions at a great price point. You get quite a few side dishes with each meal, and the balance of meat to veggies is perfect. One thing to note is that they don't accept cards, so be sure to bring cash.“

“Wonderful spot. We came to this spot with a very tired kid and they treated us like family. At one point my kid started crying and the waitress bought her a juice while the owner turned on the movie “sing.” The food is delicious, especially the ribs and pork belly. Thank you so much!“

“Seriously AMAZING. I got the seafood pancake and gamjatang.
I ordered on Uber Eats so I was prepared for the seafood pancake to be a bit soggy, but oh my god that was the crispiest pancake I’ve ever had! I was really impressed. Fluffy on the inside, and it was truly massive. Such good bang for your buck. Generous amount of seafood, and very yummy flavour.
The gamjatang was also incredible. I got the mild spicy, but it was incredibly flavourful. A nice array of banchan (side dishes), and the stew came with an insane amount of fall off the bone meat.
I was seriously impressed by this place, I got a huge amount of food for a great price and it was all delicious. Also, the restaurant took such care with packaging, my soup was individually packed in a plastic bag, and the whole order was double bagged. The restaurant isn’t super close to me, but everything came piping hot!
Will definitely eat here again!“

“Almost walked by this place. Really small, barely noticed it except there was a line outside. So we joined the line and wow, our order was wonderful. Super small , narrow little frontage, but the food and service was great. Mentioned this to our friends and they all knew about this place. Next time we ate in town we will be back.“

“I want to share this spot with anyone in the vicinity, it's hidden within a dark commercial centre nearby Bloor go, and I am enjoying a pork bone soup. The best I've had in 2 years in Toronto. Cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.“

“The pork bone soup was so flavourful and comforting. It was a little spicy for me but I am sensitive to that but the rice mellowed it out and I enjoyed the broth, so much meat from the pork bones (you have to work on it but i like that) it had 3 potatoes and kimchi, cucumber and turnip? as starters. So tasty. Highly recommended.“

“Naomi’s is one of Liberty Village’s hidden gems. This family-owned mom-and-pop shop serves what is honestly one of the best clubhouse sandwiches in Toronto—fresh, generous, and consistently delicious every time.
What makes Naomi’s truly special, though, is the atmosphere. The owners are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. It’s the kind of place where you’re greeted with a smile and made to feel like a regular, even on your first visit.
If you’re looking for a great sandwich and a local business that puts heart into everything they do, Naomi’s is absolutely worth a visit. A true neighborhood favorite.“

Give it a try!“
