“Amazing BBQ, good portions, so so tasty. We got the medium BBQ on the Table with a good amount of meat, the spicy chicken was especially loved by our table. I got Barley tea, which is new to me and lovely. But the highlight was Jason the owner, he makes you feel fully welcome. He said “I want you to feel like a guest in my mother’s home.” And you do feel it.It’s a wonderful place. This place got my friend through the Pandemic & it’s great that it survived, so they could share it with us. I need to come back next time I am in the area. Don’t walk- RUN to Korean Village Restaurant!“
“I love this place. The staff were very warm and welcoming. They brought out appetizers immediately upon sitting and helped us with our order. The meat cut selection was rather diverse compared to other bbq places and the food was very good.“
“Nestled in the heart of Yorkville, 156 Cumberland is a must try. The food was delicious and I had a great server recommending what to get, and if it was enough for the table. I could not think of a dish I didn’t like! Highly recommend the tartar, potato pancake and banana milk tiramisu. The atmosphere is also perfect for date nights, casual and special occasions. Will definitely comeback.“
“I went there last night and they were closing in 20 minutes and had turned off their fryers. They were so kind and still took my order and prepared me some delicious chicken. I manage businesses and I know what it feels like when someone shows up fifteen minutes before closing to get food. Great people and great food. I would have given them higher ratings if it was possible. If you are looking for some delicious chicken and are tired of the old kfc/popeyes generic flavor, give this place a go and you won’t be disappointed.“
“Not the best fried wings I've had, especially Korean-wise, but overall most of the menu is pretty good and the portions they give are generous to share with friends for the price. The atmosphere is great for us students, lively and fun! only downside is the service. Everytime you need something you have to use the ipad to call a server and choose one of the default prompts or else you'll have to wave one of them down which was difficult for us since they don't make eye contact when they walk by lol.Came here on a whim with friends because it was one of the few places open with shareable food, probably will only come back for another one of those moments“
“Consistent, quality, fair-priced, great food and friendly service. Whether it's take-out or dine-in they never disappoint. Run by a very friendly and hardworking family.Recommend:Jeyuk DinnerAgedashi TofuDon KatsuVery happy that this restaurant took over from A+Bibimbap which was a neighborhood favorite for a time too.Thank you Daol staff!“
“I wanted to try this place for awhile, came downtown for a concert and decided to eat here for dinner. The host greeted us right away and she was so kind and sweet. The server was very kind and courteous, he was very attentive to us and offered to refill our appetizers right away. I ordered the gyoza Bento box and they gave us huge portions, the flavour was on point! My partner ordered the fried rice claypot and it was so fresh and extra spicy just as he likes it.I also noticed that they kept getting Uber eats pick ups coming in and out, they were super busy getting the Uber orders ready, but they were still attentive to us and kept excellent service, even though they were busy multitasking the orders.I will definitely return and absolutely would recommend this restaurant!Parking: Underground green P is right beside the restaurant“
“We arrived with 1 hour to close for fear the kitchen was closing, but they were super receptive and attentive! The atmosphere is very pleasant and themed with the face of Korea. We ordered a japchae and a bulgogui bibimpap with cheese, which were great! The side dishes and hot tea too!Vegetarian options: Vegetable bibimpap is also an option on the menu. If you want, you can add cheese.“
“A very enjoyable experience all around. The atmosphere upon entering was very welcoming, my partner and I were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. The food was tasty and well made and the drinks were very refreshing especially the cocktails. I enjoyed the truffle potato and beef tartare. The service was also very well, I would definitely stop by if you’re in the area.“
“This place is a cute little spot with good food! I got the Bulgogi club sandwich. They also have a self serve coffee section. The owners are very kind. They make you feel right at home. I’m glad places like this are still around in the neighbourhood. Will be back soon! ☺️“
“I can’t get enough of this place and every time I’m in the city I make sure to either visit or place an order! You can’t beat the customer service and the food. THE FOOD IS SO TOP NOTCH. I recommend anyone to order from here. The most accommodating and supportive business possible.“
“Great and delicious food. Came here second time and the waitress remembered about my dietary restrictions, which is really sweet and attentive! They also have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options! The sushi is on point, very fresh and flavourful. I would definitely suggest trying the crunchy roll and japchae. Bento boxes are great too. Korean signature are worth trying and in the end don’t forget to have ice cream for dessert - red bean and green tea are greatWill be coming back for sure“
“The food was good for the price but the service was super slow. I was not happy with the service considering it wasn't even busy. But yes the gamjatang and takkoboki was really good. I'll just go back for the food. I wish they hire more people for faster service.“
“This adorable spot near my home is my go-to for Fusion Korean desserts. The variety of sweets and particularly the drinks offer flavors that are hard to come by elsewhere. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but I find the quality and uniqueness justify the cost. Silly me, only recently did I discover there's additional seating upstairs—a fact I wish had been made clearer from the get-go. Despite this oversight, my affection for this cafe hasn't waned. It remains a cherished destination for those special treats that remind me of flavors I'd struggle to find.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sarang Kitchen, and I must say, it was a truly refreshing experience. What sets this establishment apart is not just its delicious cuisine, but its commitment to inclusivity and understanding of neurodiversity. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and empathy. They have created an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their neurological differences. Great job and we will definitely be coming back.“
“Authentic food and fast service! Fried chicken's marinade could have been better, but it was still solid. The portions were very generous so we had to take some home and the leftovers were just as delicious as when we ate it fresh. Enjoyed the welcoming vibes of the restaurant and staff. Would go again!“
“This is the best! The premium menu was perfect; food was delicious and fresh, and the place is nice and spacious. The best of all was the staff though. They are super nice and helpful, and they are always around to help. Definitely will come back with my friends!!!“
“Not sure why people are complaining about the service unless they got the wrong place. I did see an older woman working but It was the younger one that served me. The younger one was super sweet and pleasant. I got the wasa mayo crab because I wanted something fast to eat before going to Casa Loma. For the size, it was reasonable. It was about $10.99 CAD but since I’m from the US, it was about $8 USD. This was about the same price as one of the shops near me. Very inexpensive if you work full time. The toast was very tasty. Bread was crispy and soft. Large chunks of crab meat. I would come back. Limited seating. Two tables and one booth.“
“Was looking for a new source of tasty kimbap near work. Mission accomplished! Took a bit of effort to locate the food court, but now I know and will definitely come back. Kimbap was delicious, fresh, and tasted like home made with love. Should have taken a photo but ate it too quickly! A great find!“
“Visiting Toronto this week and had a rough day, decided to close it with some late sushi. They sent two miso soups on the house with a kind message, and the food was incredibly good. Thank you kind people at ju sushi for unknowingly making our day <3“
“I have to highlight that the customer service is definitely excellent, they were always friendly and very attentive, In addition to the fact that the portions are large and everything is very delicious, we ordered sashimi and everything is very fresh and with large pieces. The sushi roll is delicious, I will definitely return to this place and be a frequent customer.“
“The portion is big, good service? try to be attentive. I was served with only 3 side dishes and yellow pickles, non of them are good, like the average one you could get from mart, in fact Galleria’s kimchi might be better. If you want spicy seafood noodle then Korean village would be a much better option.I came visit again after 6 months, and have tried their beef rib soup. The soup is phenomenal, the beef ribs could be more tinder. Conclusion: I basically licked the plates and bowls, including their side dish! I am so surprise this time with the quality of their side dish, unique, fresh, and refreshing taste that is different from other place. Really happy with this visit.“
“Since the name “bibimbap” was included in the restaurant’s name, I was curious as to whether the taste would be guaranteed. It is often said that you only have one chance to get people to come back to a restaurant because restaurant customers judge their tastes when deciding whether to return.I was curious and worried about what the food would taste like at the place I chose this time.Menu Selected: Spicy Pork, Kimchi and TunaI chose bibimbap because it is easy on the stomach after eating and is not burdensome, but the ratio of ingredients is so important that it determines the taste.I like the fact that the amount of rice here is exquisite and goes well with the rest of the ingredients.Although the menu doesn't have a lot of variety, you can choose from beef, pork, chicken, and salmon, and soybean paste soup is provided, so I ate it like a home-cooked meal without having to prepare anything. However, I was looking forward to Korean-style sushi rolls, so I was disappointed to see them disappear from the menu, but as I wrote the review while eating the delicious food I brought, it was so delicious that my disappointment lessened.I don't really like tuna, so I only ordered stir-fried kimchi and added a fried egg as a topping. It was packaged neatly so it was easy to bring because it was a rainy day.I liked that the packaging container was made of paper rather than plastic.“
“Lola Sushi has become my go-to spot since I moved into the neighborhood a year and a half ago. Whether it's takeout or dining in with family, the experience is always exceptional. It’s a cosy little spot offering a warm and genuine service, making it my preferred choice in the area. Their menu features an extensive selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, and Bento boxes, alongside enticing Korean and Japanese options. Plus, their prices are reasonable. Lola Sushi as a standout gem in the neighborhood dining scene.“
“I love this place I go here all the time and they serve the best Korean food. The workers are so polite and the food is absolutely delicious. The prices are amazing for the size. I got the bulgogi noodles and bibimbap and it was so worth it ! ⭐️“
“the restaurant has such a cute back story and every dish was mindfully created based on the chef’s own experiences and relationships! I love how he shares all these stories on the wall and menu! cozy and warm atmosphere, good for hanging out!yummy food - Highmountain Tauren (the cloud egg is so unique!!), Heat-is-Coming (nice flavours and crisp!)our server was very sweet and attentive! will definitely be back to try other dishes!“
“My mom used to bring me here when I was about 5 years old and I loved their walnut cakes.. I'm 34 now and I still love their walnut cakes! I could honestly eat about 10 in one sitting lol! Sadly I don't live in the area, but when I'm around, I make sure to always go to Hodo Kwaja. I highly recommend this place! Absolutely delicious and the service is so fast and friendly!“
“This restaurant was recommended by friends, polite staff, they immediately treated us to delicious green tea as a compliment! They also brought us delicious compliments about the food! All the food is delicious, we liked it, big portions! I recommend this restaurant!“
“Don't hesitate getting food from this unassuming take away joint opposite Sherbourne station. Excellent authentic Korean food, value for money with generous portions. Aunty serving is always pleasant and smiling. They shut down after working hours so make sure you're early. My personal favourites are the bulgogi, beef wanton soup and the spicy pork which is a Thursday special. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious.“
“Wish I could give 6 stars. Our first time here tonight, party of 3. Cozy and private booths in a bustling atmosphere (don’t come here for a quiet date night!) The service was incredible and very quick, several servers asked us how the meal was or if we needed anything. Generous helpings of meat, we had to tap out before we finished. They also introduced all the side dishes. I loved the variety. Even my 8-yr old is excited to go back again. Such a great experience!“
“The BBQ chicken in Eglinton was soo clean and have very accommodating staff! Food is really good especially the cheeseling flavor! It is so addicting, after that night we asked our friend to buy us next day and then now I had to have it delivered at work since I want it soo bad. TRY it cause it's really yummy! Cheeseballs are great too!“
“This place is very pretty, it has a great vibe with fast and efficient staff, they help you cut your meat and are very quick to answer your questions. I went here for my birthday dinner with a couple of my friends and they will sing you a song and gift you a mini dessert with a candle, it was so exciting and everybody sings happy birthday for you. It was honestly great and +A staff for the extra work they put in. Thank you.“
“The food is delicious. I order Uber Eats from here a couple times a week. But they often forget to include the sweet and spicy sauce. It really doesn’t taste as good without it so it’s really frustrating. Additionally, they don’t have an option to pay for extra sauce.“
“At Kordog Korean Style Hotdog, the experience goes beyond just great flavors; they offer a delightful variety of sauces to elevate your hotdog experience. From classic choices to more adventurous options, there's something for every palate. I thoroughly enjoyed pairing my mozzarella cheese hotdog with their array of sauces, adding an extra layer of excitement to each bite. Whether you're a fan of traditional condiments or looking to spice things up with something new, Kordog has you covered. With top-notch flavors, reasonable prices, and a selection of sauces to tantalize your taste buds, this place is a definite winner in my book. Can't wait to return for another delicious adventure!Vegetarian options: Couple options only“
“Excellent, generous n understanding lol service!I mistakenly ordered spicy (my fault bc it said it was on menu) so I ordered another dish….they said dont worry abt paying for this one! On the house…I didnt even hint at it they automatically gave it to me ?????GOOD SIZED PORTIONS.“
“This place has a good set of choices for their poke bowls - set or "build your own" types - across base, protein(salmon/tuna or mix of both), sauces, garnish and toppings. That said, I would still steal one star because sometimes they over or under season my food / add too much or too little of the sauces making then bland to super salty/ weirdly bitter.. So it goes sideways. Price-wise not the cheapest out there (typically ~25 cad with some extra protein and a drink when I build my own bowl). The staff members are friendly. Overall, Koha is ok and it is close to my office but for poke bowls I would still prefer a couple other places !!“
“1st visit: Ordered my food for pick-up with Uber Eats promo (eats-uber567uber) from Reddit UberEatsReferrals subreddit, $15 off my first 3 orders. Great experience!1st visit, Nov 7, 2023: I had the Korean BBQ Chicken box with purple rice and sweet potato noodles, and citrus cilantro on the side. Tasted great. Then I also ordered pineapple salsa (this is spiced diced pinapple, and a portion of this is also in the base box), and a gingerale pop. The pineapple salsa was too tangy/sour for me, I combined it into my base box but it was meh, I had too much of it. In the future, I'd rather get the spicy pork bao as my side dish.Future: Try the spicy pork box, or ribeye steak bulgogi box.“
“Just saw that this place is closing?! What a shame, this is the best korean hot dog place in Toronto! I don't like to name other businesses in reviews but this place is thousands of times better than Chungchun!!! I came here with my friends so many times over the years, and we're on the photo wall too ? Thank you for many years of amazing food and memories, I'll never forget you K-Seoul Hot Dog!!!!“
“New ownership took over in January 2024. Women-run, the owner used to operate Korea House down the street! Got the squid dupbap, a spicy squid stir-fry with onion and cabbage. Lots of squid and generous portion of rice. It was very tasty, would go back to try more dishes. She also makes a variety of side dishes in house (available in a side fridge). The space is small and narrow, but does have seating for dine-in. Walked by and noticed how amazing it smelled, then had to give it a try!“
“My favorite place to go! Yummy food. The kimchi is delicious. I always buy it from here to take home.Kid-friendliness: The owner is so sweet and personable. Charming to everyone, especially my little kid. Love her!Wheelchair accessibility: One of the only places on the Danforth with an accessible washroom.“
“4.5⭐️ - 07/09/2023 - I came here because I was craving this restaurant, I’ve been here a couple of times and each time I was always satisfied. The restaurant was kind of busy, the employees were welcoming from the start and always noticed when I needed their attention. I ordered a Rosé Cheese Dakgalbi and Spicy Rice Cake.Rosé Cheese Dakgalbi - I usually get this from here, but this time I added ramen noodles, and extra cheese, I asked if they could also add fish cakes as well but they said they couldn’t ?. Since I ordered a portion for one, it didn’t come in like the image, they warned me ahead of time but why could I do ?♂️ this made the dish have less sauce than it should’ve. I definitely recommend ordering portion for 2+ for more sauce! The ramen noodle was quite filling and I think I’ll try the glass noodles next time. The extra cheese was good as well. I think this time the dish was too creamy for my liking this time compared to the other times I’ve came here.Spicy Rice Cake - I ordered this because I wanted fish cakes in my previous dish but they said they couldn’t add it. The spicy rice cake tasted good, just like how it should taste!Overall I still enjoy this restaurant each time I came here in the past and only this time had a tiny issue with the extreme creamy taste of the dish. I recommend coming here for their food! It’s definitely worth the price, but don’t forget to come here with more than 1 portion!“
“Well worth the stop!! Best beef Bulgogi I’ve had since I was in Korea decades ago. Peter and Angela provide it all…fantastic, friendly customer service and excellent quality. They obviously take great pride in the quality of their food and so they should. I’m definitely going back the next time we visit Toronto from Prince Edward County. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome Peter and Angela! We look forward to seeing you soon.“
“5 stars for all the food and drinks.FOOD:• Rose Tteokbokki: really good sauce, I love that the tteokbokki is is bath in sauce so it doesn't become dry. The tteok is so chewy and stay chewy and soft for a long time, it means it's fresh and cooked properly.• Three Coloured Pancake: it's so big! Jumbo size shrimps and lots of seafood in it. It becomes really good if dip in the tteokbokki sauce.DRINKS: the bartender has a bit questionable skill, she messed up with the drinks and have to redo it. She touched the rim of the glasses and cocktail tools and pour drinks through those tool.• Creme Brulee Whiskey Sour: it didn't disappoint me at all, very well balance between the lemon juice and creamy torched brulee foam.• Snow White: very flavorful orange taste with a hint of earl grey made it a perfect drink.SERVICE: I had to wait quite a long time for the food and other tables got their food before me although they came in later.VIBE: it's freezing cold in there like in a fridge, I got a cold afterward.“
“I'm so happy to have a BBQ near my house.Eglincheon branch is so crispy and delicious!!!You must eat Korean chicken here!!They even confirmed that the beer was low in carbonation and prepared a new one for me. They were so kind. You can get Korea fried chicken No.1 here!!!!❤️?“
“It was a Sunday night when we went here. The place is totally kid friendly. Haewon, our host, was approachable and very friendly. She made sure that the seats that we got are perfect since we came as 8 pax. The waiting time is okay. Steven, our server, was incredible. He checks up on us and made sure that we have everything that we need - from orders to extra utensils. We will surely dine in again in this location.“
“Love it!, went there twice this trip!, Which we didn't plan on happening. Friendly staff, easy to talk to, relaxing environment. The food is made well, really good and on time!? Also the portions are large.Pictures didn't do it justice.(Btw I am obsessed with that garlic butter fries?)This time around we grabbed the soy garlic bone in fried chicken 10/10, garlic butter fries 11/10, fried dumplings 10/10.“
“We have been here several times and it's our go-to Korean restaurant. We have tried the seafood pancake, hotpot, bbq and stew here and none has ever disappointed us. On a side note, they give you alot of good side dishes and the owner really values the customers here and she is really caring. Unfortunately foodora does not provide this restaurant's delivery due to our location being a bit too far during the pandemic but hopefully we get to come again soon!“
“Enjoyed a nice meal with attentive service and interesting cocktails.Cocktails: LaZi Fizz, Blushing Dragon (highly recommend) & Mirrors in A Dark Room (very spirit forward)Beef Tartare - a must! Fresh beef with gochujang, haam choy, pear, egg yolk is a revelation to the tastebuds.Octopus Crudo - the dressing is light and fresh, helps to balance a heavy dish.Terracotta Cornish Hen - very tender and filling, needs to have rice with itBeef Heart Topokki - this is another must! Flavourful yet not too heavy, despite the rice cakes and cheese.Braise pork belly - this dish should be served with rice to balance the saltiness and soak up the sauceDefinitely worth checking out!“
“Immaculate vibes inside, cozy and clean and cute, and the staff was super friendly! Like other reviews said, it’s pricey but worth it! Peach-lemon soju cocktail and white peach cocktails were both awesome! Served several glasses each so well worth the price! We had the kimchi pancake (amazing) and it was huge so we were able to eat the other half in the morning! Very crispy and delicious! We also had the spicy boneless chicken feet, which had incredible delicious spice and it was nice not having to suck the bones ~~ cheese corn was awesome of course. And the steamed beef box was AWESOME!! Genuinely what an awesome spot I hope they continue to do well!Vegetarian options: Lots of good veggies and veggie options!“
“got the brown donkatsu for takeout at $22! as with the other reviews, the portions are really good and everything is so savoury! i especially liked the hint of sweet potato in the batter of the katsu and thought that the sauce was absolutely delicious, would highly recommend“
