The teriyaki sauce was rich and slightly sweet, soaking into the cutlet and rice in the best way. Everything felt really well balanced and filling without being too heavy. “Seems like most people who know about this place lately, especially those not from the downtown area, found it through social media. Same for us, so we decided to give it a try.

We went on a Sunday just before 2:30 pm, just in time for their $18.99 (Apr 2026) buffet lunch, which runs until 3:30 pm. It wasn’t too busy, with only about four groups dining when we arrived. You can choose between ordering à la carte or going for the buffet.

For the price, the variety was pretty decent. Flavour-wise, it leans on the sweeter side, which might not be for everyone, just personal preference. We also found ourselves surprisingly thirsty for the rest of the day after. The menu felt more Korean-Chinese than strictly Korean, with quite a few dishes leaning more Chinese. Also, no lettuce wraps or bibimbap, which was a bit of a letdown.

The spicy pork bone dish was definitely a highlight for me. On the flip side, the kimbap was disappointing. The rice was dry and hard, and it had a slight sour smell and taste, which wasn’t great. Service was okay overall.

All in all, it’s good value for now. With how popular it’s getting, prices have already started creeping up since the buffet was introduced and will probably keep rising. If it stays around this price, we’d likely come back if we’re in the downtown area again.

Note: Btw, you get a complimentary plate of gyozas (for à la carte menu) if you give a 5-stars Google review.“

“From the moment I opened the containers, the aroma took me straight back to the streets of Myeong-dong. I was genuinely feeling like I was right there in Korea,
The food is absolutely amazing. The beef bento box had that perfect balance of smoky sweetness, and had that deep, fermented kick that you usually only find in a home-cooked meal in Seoul.
Every bite was a nostalgic explosion of flavor—crispy, savory, and perfectly seasoned.
It is rare to find a takeout spot that maintains this level of quality and soul. If you’re craving a true taste of Korea without the 14-hour flight, this is the place to go. My soul is happy and my stomach is full. Thank you seoul for making this amazing dishes .“

“It was a spontaneous late-night snack.

Last night was truly one to remember — the street was bustling around midnight with an exuberant rally on Yonge St. It also marked the end of an unforgettable February for me.
At first, I was just looking for something simple, but as I drove down the street, I changed my mind and craved Korean food. I couldn’t help laughing, realizing it had turned into the longest drive for a late-night meal because of the rally.

When I finally got there, I only had about 45 minutes. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The side dishes came out first — all delicious — and that’s when my hunger pangs really kicked in.

I ordered the bulgogi on a hot plate and gamjatang with noodles. Both were savoury and full of flavour. The servers were kind and attentive, and they didn’t rush me, even though I finished right at 1 AM.

I loved their brick counter and cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back for the pot ❤️“

“We passed by Toronto via Union Station on our way back to New York, and we were starving. After a quick 5-minute walk from Union, we found this small Korean spot. The lady working there was so lovely, and we ordered spicy fried chicken, bibimbap, and one steamed rice.
Oh my gosh. When I opened the bibimbap, it was so beautiful I didn’t even want to touch it 😅—but I was so hungry.
And honestly… I’m Filipino, and I love Korean food. I’ve eaten at places like Seoul Chako, Mon Ami, and Gangnam Style in Kingston, Ontario. But this little place? It was different.
It was my first time feeling the love of the cook through the food. Not to be dramatic, haha, but everything was fresh, well-balanced, not salty, not oily—just super, super tasty. It honestly felt like a Korean mom cooked for me 😭

“Dakgogi recently changed its name to Woo Suk Po Cha, and it now has a casual Korean pub vibe.

We ordered the jjamppong, soy sauce chicken, cheese balls, and odeng soup, and the food was very good overall. The jjamppong had plenty of mussels, and they tasted fresh, which really stood out. Portions were generous, and considering current inflation, the prices felt quite reasonable and affordable.

The service was excellent -- servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to bring everything out.

The only downside was the atmosphere. The music was a bit too loud, and the place was quite dark for my taste.

Gamjatang Pork Bone Soup
Kimchi Seafood Pancake

“My wife and I have been coming here at least once a month for the last 3 or 4 years, and it’s a must-visit every single time we’re in the area.
The food is incredible!!!! it truly feels like stepping into a Korean Grandma’s house. The atmosphere is so cozy, and the dishes have that authentic, homemade soul that you just can’t find everywhere.
On top of the amazing taste, the prices are super affordable and the portions are very well-served. You definitely won't leave hungry! If you're looking for comforting, honest Korean food, this is the spot.“

“We ordered samgyetang, stir-fried makchang, and sundae.
Everything was beautifully presented with six neat side dishes. The seasoning was light but full of flavor, and everything tasted clean and delicious.

The staff were also very kind and friendly. We really enjoyed our meal!♥️“

“Truly blown away by this place. Staff was so nice, service was quick and the food was phenomenal. I got the pork and squid stir fry and it was perfectly spicy, super garlicky and savory, and the banchan selection was also excellent (the fermented radish was my favorite). I will definitely be back to try more, the place was full when I went and I saw a lot of completely empty plates as other customers left so I know everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did“
