“Had a great lunch here. The katsu is just what you’d expect out of a good katsu: juicy tender meat, great sauce, extra crispy on the outside. The price seems high ($30 for katsu + pop) but you get a lot of food. I got the chicken brown katsu and it came with three large chicken cutlets, corn, rice and salad. If you’re craving katsu this will perfectly satisfy you!“

“We visited this restaurant during pride and I was really surprised to see that this place wasn't busy like a lot of the other ones nearby because we had a great experience here!
We tried the boneless chicken (supreme and cheesling flavors), rose tteokbokki, and corn cheese. The fried chicken was definitely the standout, perfectly crispy and moist on the inside. We would definitely recommend choosing the supreme as one of your flavors. The tteokbokki was also delicious. The cheese corn was okay; I would say I've had better at other Korean restaurants.
Our server was super fun and lively. She greeted us as soon as we walked in and made sure to clearly explain how everything in the restaurant worked (you order through tablets). The ambience isn't really anything fancy, but that's not something I really care about.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for the chicken.“

“Notably very friendly staff. Was warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant. Staff was extremely courteous and did not have to wait too long to receive my order. If anything the spot is a bit too small and they would do better with a bigger location. Overall, a great experience…“

“My first time here!
The staff was really nice and polite.
I ordered kimchi stew with pork and it was good (needed a little more salt to my taste though) and the stir-fried noodles with rice cake, fish cake and bulgogi beef was my favorite (but I wish I ordered the spicy version!)
All in good, I left with a full tummy and felt happy! x)“

“This place is a top 3 Korean spot in the city for me. Our server Hannah was incredible and no matter how busy the place is (they’ve got one server) she’s always happy to help. The katsu was delicious, Korean Dumplings had a great spice mixed in with the pork, and the japchae was basically the best I’ve ever had. I live on the other side of the city but I go out of my way to come here.“

“I have to say it is very yum food. Absolutely loved the food. bulgogi beef and bbq eel, was absolutely tasty! There was one person working a very humble and kind worker! Thank you!
The only - which I personally would ask the owner to work for is range hood. Coz it smells very very smoky there bcs of the food and you get soak all the smell from the kitchen. Otherwise can’t wait to get back for another portion of bimbap👻😍✨“

“Ka Chi is my go-to restaurant whenever I’m in downtown Toronto with my friends and is my favourite Korean restaurant near my university. The food is always delicious and friendly service.
My favourite dish is the bibimbap served in a hot stone bowl. I love the bulgogi and vegetables. It arrives sizzling, stays warm throughout the meal, and has such fresh, delicious flavours. I also love the complimentary gyoza.
Another bonus that I really appreciate is the self-serve side dishes. You can refill them as much as you’d like, which makes the dining experience even better.“

“I ate at many korean restaurants and I can say that the food is delicious. I had their army stew which had so much flavours and toppings. I enjoyed every last bit. Plus there was a 10% discount if you pay in cash. Highly recommend. I only wish they can add maybe one more side dish“

“Can easily make their bibimbap and kimbap vegan! The japchae is vegan too. Delicious food and super lovely staff! Separately have to shout out the $9 kimbap - nice option on-the-go or if you need a good filling snack. (Some pieces in the photo have more pieces under them)“

“Fun atmosphere and our server was great. Quick service and friendly. Not sure how prices compare to other places in Toronto, but it seemed on par with similar places in Chicago. Only negative part of the night was the extremely loud and chaotic table sitting directly behind us.“

“Wonderful spot. We came to this spot with a very tired kid and they treated us like family. At one point my kid started crying and the waitress bought her a juice while the owner turned on the movie “sing.” The food is delicious, especially the ribs and pork belly. Thank you so much!“

“Very tasty food. Our seafood kimchi pancake is always perfect - nice and crispy and it wasn't too spicy (I have a low-ish spice tolerance and found it okay even though it has 1 chilly next to it on the menu).
I love their hot stone bibimbap, so have ordered it several times. My favorite is the shrimp bibimbap and I'm always happy with it--comes with lots of rice and vegetables; the shrimp is perfect, nice and juicy. I managed to get the rice golden brown (yay!) I tried adding a bit of the soy sauce that came with the pancake to the crispy rice and thought it tasted pretty good too. During the summer, they have excellent cold noodles--I love the soup version because it's so refreshing. They provide generous portions, and I've had to ask for a small container to take home my leftovers (mostly rice, so I plan to make myself a stir fried rice for next day's lunch).
Every time we visited, we had to wait for a table. They keep a waitlist (2024 UPDATE: they got a digital kiosk now! No more notebooks. Located to the right of the door, so make sure to fill it in). On Friday evenings there's usually 6-8 people on the waitlist by 5pm (which is about a 40-50 minute wait). You get a text message when your table is ready.
There is a 10% discount if you pay by cash.
They have booths of different sizes from 2 people to large groups of 10-14 (maybe more? Depends on how close you want to sit to each other?)
Only down side is the smell of food that clings to you after you leave.“

“An excellent hole-in-the-wall takeout place with huge portions at a great price point. You get quite a few side dishes with each meal, and the balance of meat to veggies is perfect. One thing to note is that they don't accept cards, so be sure to bring cash.“

“Really a nice place to have Korean grill. We enjoyed the food a lot. Meats are delicious, seafood ok, not many side dishes but all taste good. Lack one ingredient is the chillies for wrapping with the lettuce. Guess no one order rice but I did and really very dry like leftover 😅 overall I will recommend this place and will definitely going back again“

“Yung Sok was very nice and helpful the whole time, she gave me the excellent choice of 73 Stir fry which was some of best rice, beef, and egg I've ever had at a resteraunt.
The best part was that I could have Tea and Water for free which really changes your meal for the better!
The vibe here is very warm and safe, it feels like your at a family home. Though the absolute favourable part is the Pricing!!!! You get so much food and drink for less than $18. You'll definitly be walking out with extras because theres just so much food. And its not because of filler too, alot of well mixed and rich ingredient equally blended throughout.“

“Almost walked by this place. Really small, barely noticed it except there was a line outside. So we joined the line and wow, our order was wonderful. Super small , narrow little frontage, but the food and service was great. Mentioned this to our friends and they all knew about this place. Next time we ate in town we will be back.“

“Spicy Fried Chicken
The chicken was very tender and juicy. The sauce had an authentic Korean-style spicy flavour with just a hint of sweetness. The coating wasn’t particularly crispy, but the flavour was really good.
Japchae
Highly recommended! The portion was generous, with plenty of beef and vegetables. The glass noodles had a nice chewy, bouncy texture and were very satisfying.
The staff were very friendly, and the small restaurant was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but it’s a great spot for a quiet and casual meal, especially if you’re dining alone.“

“Fun friendly atmosphere ideal for larger friend groups. I’ve ordered takeout (yangnyeom fried chicken) from this spot on multiple occasions and it never disappoints. “I come here almost every week because of how delicious the food is, the incredible value for money, and they absolutely lovely people that work here. They also have a good variety of healthy meal options that are also tasty. Truly a rare gem hidden just out of plain sight.
There's a wide assortment of options, including a number of traditional Korean dishes that are becoming harder and harder to find in the city.
My go-to order is the galbi (short rib) meal, bulgogi meal, and jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce) (not in the attached images).
The meals come with banchan, typically pickled radish, kimchi, tofu with mild chili sauce, bean sprouts, and Korean macaroni salad. It also comes with a rice.
The seasoning and cook of the meats they serve is genuinely addictive. There's a smokiness that I love that I haven't experienced at any other restaurant.
The jajangmyeon they make reminds me of the first time I ate it and fell in love with the dish, but could never find that same quality until I went to Mister Yummy.
The prices are extremely reasonable given the current state of things, and the value for money is absolutely there. A filling meal for 2 is about $45, which would easily be $75 elsewhere.
Lastly, the people who run this place are amongst the kindest people I've ever met, and are absolutely deserving of your patronage.“

“Naomi’s is one of Liberty Village’s hidden gems. This family-owned mom-and-pop shop serves what is honestly one of the best clubhouse sandwiches in Toronto—fresh, generous, and consistently delicious every time.
What makes Naomi’s truly special, though, is the atmosphere. The owners are incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. It’s the kind of place where you’re greeted with a smile and made to feel like a regular, even on your first visit.
If you’re looking for a great sandwich and a local business that puts heart into everything they do, Naomi’s is absolutely worth a visit. A true neighborhood favorite.“

“If you're looking for a taste of the sea in a comforting Korean stew, the haemul doenjangchigae (seafood on soybean paste stew) at De Chou in Scarborough is highly recommended. This isn't your average stew. The rich, savory doenjang broth is deeply flavorful and packed with umami. What truly sets it apart is the generous bounty of fresh seafood swimming in every spoonful. Unlike some places that are shy with the proteins, De Chou loads theirs up—you can expect octopus bits and other fresh seafood that make every bite a delight. The depth of flavor in the broth, combined with the natural taste of the vegetables, creates a perfect harmony that is both hearty and deeply satisfying.
But the real showstopper is the naengmyun—a perfectly balanced, tangy-sweet broth that's served cold—it's incredibly refreshing and cleansing, especially after a rich meal or on a hot summer day. It's bold, vibrant, and utterly addictive.“

“Jay, the server, is absolutely amazing! Like I have been to a lot of restaurants before, here and globally, but Jay did an amazing job serving us. He is always smiling, always around, super friendly, and so speedy. He did an amazing job. My napkin fell on the floor and without even eye contact he got me another one. He saw me covering my shirt with my hands while eating so I don’t stain it he went and grabbed us eating aprons without even asking. Will def be back.“

“Been craving bibimbap for so long and I'm happy I stopped here. The bibimbap was delicious and comforting. For those complaining the rice isn't crispy you have to wait while it's on your table for it to crisp the rice. Yes as a solo customer you get less sides with it but thats to lower food waste and I appreciate that. The Cucumber side (oi-muchim) was so good I bought a container for home. Customer service was excellent as well. Definitely will return.“
