“It’s been a while since I ate Korean pig’s feet.
Even my 6 year old daughter enjoyed it.
The staff and the lady owner were all friendly.
Since today is Wings Day, you can order wings at the event price.
You told me I could
Our family had a happy dinner
I was planning to go to the CN Tower for my birthday dinner next month.
I think I'll be happier coming here.
Thank you for the friendly service and delicious food!!“

“I ordered the set lunch Don Katsu on rice, which was deep-fried pork slices on rice with a sauce. Simply impeccable! I love how the pork slices are still moist and tender despite being deep-fried. The sauce also elevated the taste of the pork slices a lot, and I also dipped some sauce into the rice as well. Simply amazing! The set lunch comes with a free appetizer, which was always the case, I guess, even for non-set meals, but it also comes with a free soft drink or free miso soup. I chose the latter because I am more health-conscious, and I am trying to lose more weight. :)“

“This is one of few Korean restaurants that don't kill you with their spice. I understand Koreans like spicy food but there's a balance between flavor and heat and at Sung Won they do it right. Their kimchi is one of the best I personally think because there is flavour in the bite before the spice hits you. Other places you get hit with spicy then the flavour. Another dish that is very flavorful is the tofu soup... You get flavour of the soup then the spice hits you.“

“Never have I sat down at a restaurant to be served a complimentary meal before even ordering. This place was beautiful in every aspect, to coming inside it amazed me and the group of friends I came with. It was BEAUTIFUL inside with all the decor. Our host was amazing and even took shots with us, such a very nice vibe in here and very welcoming. Staff is amazing and catered
to our needs. Food was also delicious! I had a lovely night here thank you“

“Came on Sunday, around 12-1pm. It was a bit busy so we had to wait for a table but I was excited because I’ve been watching the culinary class wars show!
Service is really fast because they use iPads to take orders, but also the staff were really kind and lovely.
Overall, the food was pretty good but I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best. I mainly tried the jajang (black bean sauce noodle) and the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour deep fried pork).
The jajang noodles have an amazing texture, and the sauce is creamy, but I had to add a bit of soy sauce. The tangsuyuk had a nice sauce, but I wish it was a bit crispier.
I definitely recommend anyone who comes to this restaurant to get a noodle dish or one of their popular dishes. We ordered other dishes such as a fried rice which was just decent. The table beside us enjoyed the popular dishes but barely touched their soup. :(
I also wish there were more non-pork options,, it seems like Paik really loves pork.“

“I’m surprised there aren’t any TikTok videos or IG reels about this spot racking up millions of views! It’s a true hidden gem for a bite to eat. The fried chicken here is the best I’ve ever had, and the prices are super reasonable. Plus, the customer service is fantastic!
The person I spoke to apologized for the wait due to changing the oil of the fryers. I didn't even know that was a thing! After the first bite, the difference in crunch and taste was instantly noticeable. The focus on detail on each order is actually mind blowing.
They’re closed from 1:30 to 5:30 PM, but I still managed to grab a bite thanks to the friendly attitude of the chefs. I learned they’re a bit understaffed right now, which explains the unusual hours. I get that it’s a small business, but honestly, I haven't experienced such great quality food and service in a long time!
The reviews are well-earned and absolutely deserved. I’m proud to be a customer who can say I discovered this place before BanBan takes Toronto by storm! The photos are already great and its even better to see in person. How is there not a lineup in the mall for you guys yet? This place has so much potential! All the best“

“Restaurant Review: A Must-Try for Korean Fried Chicken Lovers
I recently visited this Korean restaurant in Toronto, and it was fantastic! Their fried chicken is hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The variety of sauces, especially the soy garlic is incredible.
What truly stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with big smiles and were super attentive, making me feel right at home. If you’re craving delicious Korean fried chicken and great service, this is the spot to visit!“

“I love this tteokbokki. I don't like spicy food, so I ordered the lowest level. 0 level is not spicy and delicious for everyone! I shared it with three friends and it was a lot of food. I also had a cheese hot dog and it was really delicious with tteokbokki! The staff was friendly and I will come back again.“

A must visit if you want to try authentic Korean food.“

“Great food at very reasonable prices! The fried chicken is sizeable and delicious, the soup items hit the spot, and their menu is quite extensive for Korean cuisine. What tops it all, is that the lovely lady who plays the role as host AND waitress is working so hard and taking care of so many tables - is so friendly, welcoming, and does everything with such a bright attitude and smile. With that alone, it makes a normal restaurant experience into a great one. Definitely our family’s go to Korean restaurant going forward. ❤️“

“This is my new go to Daldongnae location! I’ve been to the Mississauga location many many times (it’s amazing) and I thought I will give the Elgin Mills location a try since I moved to Richmond Hill and this is the closest location to me now. I asked if I could get a table with two grills for 5 people as it was my parents’ first time trying Kbbq. They honoured my request and gave me a very spacious table which I truly appreciate. The food was very good and the staff were so kind and friendly! I’ve been to the 6034 Yonge St location once and they overcharged us and the place was too hot but Elgin Mills location was amazing. Definitely recommend!“

“Located in the Alton Tower plaza in Scarborough, Dangol is a great place if you want to have Korean hot pot and noodle soups.
In addition to hot pot, they do have Korean fried chicken for those who opt out for soups.
Their service is friendly and efficient.
We took a shareable hotpot $45 Yukgaejang (Korea spicy beef, with vegetables) this dish is served with two bowls of purple rice and along with the usual Korean side dishes that comes with it.“

“My family & I was grabbing a late night dinner. I picked the place base on Google map review and it was a pleasant surprise when we sat down and went through the menu. There were just enough food choices to pick from. The servers were all very nice. We enjoyed the pork bone soup a lot as we were given generous portions and the flavor was right on. The rice ball was something new to us and it was very delicious.
We will definitely return again and next time we will try the hot pot!

Nakwon Korean Restaurant offers a delightful experience with traditional Korean dishes that are rich in flavour. During our visit, we ordered agedashi tofu, a Korean-style pancake, spicy kimchi soup and bibimbap. Each dish was well-prepared and met our expectations for authenticity and taste. The agedashi tofu was particularly noteworthy, with its crispy exterior and soft, flavourful interior. The bibimbap, served in a hot stone bowl, had the right balance of textures and flavours, making it a satisfying choice. The Korean-style pancake was also a hit, crispy on the edges and generously filled.
The service at Nakwon is quick and efficient, which added to the overall positive dining experience. The staff were attentive and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. One of the highlights is the refillable side dishes, a staple in Korean dining. However, I did notice a difference compared to the Yonge and Finch location – while the side dishes here are refillable, there is a limit to how many you can receive, unlike the unlimited option at the other location. This is something to keep in mind if you're used to more generous portions of banchan.
Though we didn’t try it this time, Nakwon offers Korean BBQ on the table, which is a nice option for those who enjoy grilling their own meats. The setup looked inviting, and it’s something we’ll likely explore on our next visit.
Overall, Nakwon Korean Restaurant provides a solid Korean dining experience with a few minor limitations. The quality of the food and the efficiency of the service make it a worthy spot to satisfy your Korean food cravings. If you’re near the area and looking for a place with good food and quick service, Nakwon is definitely worth a visit.

“I heard about this new place from a friend and had to give it a try. When I parked where Google Maps directed me, I wasn't sure if I was in the right spot ---- it's at the back of an industrial building, near some truck unloading docks.
But then I saw a sign saying "Please come in" and decided to take a leap of faith. I wasn't disappointed!
* Fried Chicken Sandwich - $7.77: I chose the honeyed soy garlic flavour. The egg brioche bun was perfectly soft and flavourful, and I appreciated how the pressed crust held everything together. The toppings were generous, and the chicken was juicy.
* Fried Chicken Poutine - $8.88 (250g, snack size): I went with the "cheezy cheese" option, and it was indeed very cheesy! They didn't skimp on the seasoning, and the poutine cheese curds had a great pull. Loved it!
* Boneless Fried Chicken - $9.99 (250g, snack size): I chose the spicy yangnyeom sauce, which had a nice kick.
Just a small note -- I'd prefer if the boneless chicken pieces were about half the size, especially as a poutine topping.
The prices are fair, and the flavours are absolutely delicious. Piping hot fried chicken takes time, so there is a slight wait, which I did not mind at all.
I'll definitely be coming back here!“

“A pretty busy korean restaurant. We get there around 6 pm, there's still some tables available. But after 7 pm, it's full. My first time went there, because friends recommend trying this. Overall, the food is good. Extra spicy is really spicy! So if u like it, go for it extra spicy. The portion is big. U can refill the side dishes. Their signature dish is $44/plate and can be mix&match flavors.“

“On a reco from someone from Korea and who can make gimbap herself, I ventured out to find this recommended gimbap place after finding about the Korean dish from a TV show. I gotta say that I was impressed by the size of the roll and the quality for the price. Two rolls is a lot of food. One is enough; two is maybe gluttonous.
Telling the front staff that this was my first time there, she recommended the Kimchi Tuna Gimbap and then the Bulgogi Gimbap. The rolls were well-presented and were indeed delicious. Based on the quickly forming line-up for a weekday lunch, this place is clearly a favourite in the neighbourhood.“

“The Scarborough location was amazing! The food is decently priced and the location is great! I have been here a few times before and I have never been disappointed. This time I brought my parents and I asked them about accommodations for my dad. They said that they would be as accommodating as possible. They did not disappoint this time either. They helped my dad into and out of the booth and they took the wheelchair away and brought it back at the end. They really did a lot and were super helpful! Highly recommend!“

Drove 45mins to return here for more, the food does not disappoint, the staff (husband and wife?) very nice and friendly, gave good portions, and greeted with a smile even a long day and we arrive at their closing time ~9pm. Thank you again Simply Kitchen!
Kid-friendliness: They had games for kids to play while we were waiting for our order.“

“One of the best fried chicken places I’ve had, the sauces are delicious and chicken is so tender and juicy, not dry at all. Breading is also perfect, not too much. Lastly, it’s not shown in the photos but their fries were also amazing!
Be prepared to wait 15-20mins for your food though as it’s freshly cooked, but it’s honestly so worth it.“

“Came here a few time with family and ordered the pork bone soup tower and the jokbal. Honestly the jokbal was a new experience and I quite liked it when wrapped in lettuce + sauce + garnishes. Pork bone soup tower was also great. The soup wasn’t too thick and umami was on the lighter end. Restaurant mostly had large portion sizes mostly suited for shareable between friends/family. Would recommend come trying out if you’re in the area and craving korean food. Food pairs well with their korean rice wine.“

“The king size dumplings are super tasty and the kimichi tastes super fresh. Highly recommend in term of the quality of the food and the dumplings are about $1-2 dollars cheaper than the other one. It tastes not as salty than the others nearby but its not as big (that has terrible customer service) that sells the same thing. Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. Just order take out its easier“

“Visited Chingu after having a big craving for Korean food and was looking for something local and nothing too fancy like a lot of the new restaurants that have popped up. The food here was so tasty, reasonably priced and the service was the best part. I believe it is a mother/son duo and they are both so lovely, attentive and warm. You truly feel like your food is being prepared by a family. Like I mentioned it might not be a fancy restaurant but the way you feel cannot be replicated by any of the newer/ more expensive restaurants popping up. I hope Chingu stays in the community for a long long time! ?
Ps. we’ve already been twice in two weeks hehe

“This spot is a hidden gem. The food is very good at a good price as well. The pork bone soup was very flavourful and tender. The tofu dishes were loaded with tofu. I really like how their rice is mixed with purple rice and cooked in a hot stone pot. It gives the rice a nice crisp on the edges while adding fragrance to the rice. The downside is when we went, there was no a/c making it super hot while eating hot and spicy food. There are also less side dishes compared to other Korean restaurants but it is still very tasty.“
