Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant.
I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. Finch JungSooNae is a cozy, authentic, and welcoming Korean spot. It is a great place for comfort food and a nice spot to catch up with friends over good food. The menu has some unique dishes, including must-try seafood. The highlight for many is the raw marinated crab, described as soy marinated crab or Ganjang Gejang. It is super fresh, rich, packed with flavor, spicy, and delicious. Other recommended dishes include the amazing seafood pancake, which is crispy and flavorful, kimchi fried rice, non-spicy pollack soup, pork cutlet, and Bulgogi. The side dishes are also amazing and good, not just fillers. The staff is friendly, very nice, kind, sweet, and very kind. The owner is kind and makes guests feel right at home, sometimes offering to cut the crabs for easier eating. The vibe is authentic and cozy, and the shop is clean and smells wonderful. Some items are slightly pricier, but the quality justifies it. Parking is available at Finch TTC with validation for a discount. It is a hidden gem and a solid hole-in-the-wall spot, highly recommended for legit Korean food.
