Such a hidden gem really amazing service and food!! Would recommend
Best Korean food on the east end, maybe in Toronto. Home cooked incredible food. Price-wise, the portions offer amazing value with big portions and a clear use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. Take out is also just as yummy and they prepare the soup and side dishes so they arrive home perfectly.

Makkal Chon is a small Korean restaurant known for its fantastic food at reasonable prices. The decor is simple and a bit dated, but the food more than makes up for it. The pork bone soup is outstanding, especially on chilly days, and the seafood pancake is also a favorite. The serving sizes are generous, making it great for sharing. The staff is limited to one person, which might lead to longer waits during busy times, but the service is attentive and quick. The boiled flat flounder dish may take too long to cook and sometimes come out undercooked. Despite some pricey items on the menu, the takeout service during the pandemic is efficient and safe. With free parking available, Makkal Chon remains a favorite spot for Korean cuisine in a nice neighborhood. The vegetable wraps with bulgogi and sizzling plate are a standout option too.
