This restaurant has been around since my childhood, and though we don't go often, we ALWAYS go there for our large family outings.

They are super accommodating with tons of space and incredible food. I've never had a bad meal at the Riverview. The interior has remained original, which I love. It's comforting to see something that stands the test of time with its retro charm and fights against modern coldness. I much prefer it, if I'm being honest. Modern restaurants have their place, but old school charm is where it's at...

If you haven't yet been to The Riverview, you need to go. Above average portion sizes, great food and service at a reasonable cost. And tons of retro, small town personality.

I would suggest following them on Facebook or Instagram, but... you CAN'T! Old school at its very best. No social media. You'll just have to trust me :)”

“I was there in rush hour. Huge lineup in drive thru and dining was full of people. But heads off to these crew members. Everyone was working so hard. Despite the rush i got my order in 60 seconds. This store is very busy in evening. There was a young Indian manager Nav, who was serving. She looks pretty experienced.”

“I really like this place but the way it's set up is horrible, order your coffee here and ask for soda which you then need to pick up at a different counter, the ice cream can take 10 minutes to get when it's not busy.
I like their bread and pastries but to go not to stay”

“Have been here probably more than a dozen time over the past 4 years for both a la carte and ayce. Don’t get me wrong, the food is amazing, but for the price? the a la carte is really not worth all that. The buffets, on the other hand, are a different story since I am willing to starve myself all day for them.

The best deals from HDL have been the $2.95 Marbled Beef and the Meat Carnival, but sadly both of these absolute steals are no longer available at this location. The Flexi-Semi Buffet is great too, but it would be so much better if it included the Flat Iron Steak in addition to the current protein options. I personally think the soup bases are way way overpriced so I recommend just getting water to save money since the sauce bar (for $3.99) provides all the flavoring you’d need tbh + unlimited fruits.

But hey, I’m a uni student so if you’re balling unlike me, go ahead and splurge. Maybe consider giving me a call if you are feeling generous too and want to feed a broke big back. I promise to eat your money’s worth.”

“Never had Pakistani food so this was our first. Spotted this restaurant randomly on the street and it caught my attention. Food was great and service is amazing, shoutout to our waiters Rahi, Asta and Yash to walk us through the menu and service with great hospitality. Will come back and try different things in the future.”

“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS lives up to the hype, well deserved Michelin. The flavor profiles were amazing, if I were to close my eyes and think of the taste, the dish tastes like that. The only complaint is that I couldn’t eat more!

The food was amazing. the service was insanely fast. before the waitress was even done taking all our orders they were already bringing in the soups. and you're only allowed one ice cream per person but the waitress gave me an extra one to be nice. and then all of a sudden this other angel of a waitress brings us three extra orders (by accident). but we obvi werent penalized for it. i 1000% recommend this place. bathrooms are nice and clean too, but they're downstairs so maybe if you have mobility issues you may struggle with that. actually if you have a wheelchair the space may be a bit tight for you. no parking nearby but as for most things in toronto u can transit there easily. 5/5!!”

“Like the name says, this place is tiny but absolutely worth visiting. I've been twice now and really enjoyed my pasta each time. It's delicious, the flavours are creative, and the portions are reasonable given that it's clearly fresh pasta and small batch. I also enjoy the pesto roll.

I'd suggest coming early to avoid a wait and following their instagram to see what the daily pasta specials are (there are usually 2).”
