“My new husband and I had the most amazing wedding at Granite Brewery. The owner Sam has so much expertise when it comes to wedding planning, and he made the whole process run so smoothly. The staff did so much of the prep work day-of that our setup crew barely had anything to worry about. We had our ceremony in the courtyard and it was stunning. We chose the buffet option for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! There was tons and tons of food to go around, with plenty of options for guests with dietary restrictions. The dining room was the perfect size for our group of 87, and the staff helped make room for a dance floor after dinner. We found our DJ, MC, photographers, and officiant on Granite’s list of recommended vendors and they were all fantastic. At the end of the night, the Granite staff did all of the tear-down work and tidied up our decorations so that we could easily pick them up the next day. We are so thankful for all of their help.

“Walking with a friend before a show at the neighboring club, was able to get a seat inside but the patio was quite lively (and dog friendly). Pretty standard for service and menu, with my friend ordering chicken fingers and fries while I got the Smash burger and fries. The fries were surprisingly the best part as they were perfectly crispy with the skin on, somehow beating the burger in terms of satisfaction. Didn't try any of the beers but being a brewery, they've got a wide selection of local beers that you can even order cans or packs to go. Good place for get togethers.“

“This is a brewhouse on Lower Jarvis Street. They have a good size indoor seating area as well as outdoor tables if weather is favourable. Opening hours are 11am to 11pm daily. They offer up a nice range of house brew on tap as well as some visitor beers, spirits and a few wines to go along with a menu of pub grub food items. We stopped by for a round of drinks recently after walking the Lake Ontario waterfront and enjoyed their Great Lakes Stout and glass of Pinot Gris. Service was very friendly, vibes casual and relaxed. Just seemed like a fun venue for a round of drinks or early meal. Would be happy to stop by again based on this experience.“

“The best beer we tasted on our holiday. All beers were bangers and we came back the day after. We only knew via a recommendation but we weren't disappointed . Staff sat and spoke to us too our beer , the UK and Toronto which was nice. Thoroughly recommend and will be on the look out for English suppliers .“

“Great little neighborhood brew pub. I really come for the beer and the food has never disappointed. I love their IPA and the sour beers. Grab a flight and try five. I stopped coming in person during the pandemic so really appreciate that you can drop in and pick up your favorite brew to take home.“

“We went to Beaches Brew Pub & Kitchen for their trivia night and had such a great time. The trivia was fun, the atmosphere was lively, and it was a really enjoyable night out.

The beers were excellent, and the menu has a great variety with something for pretty much every budget. If you want to spend around $20 on a main, there are plenty of options. If you’re looking to spend closer to $40 on something a little more unique or higher end, you’ll find that too. It makes the menu feel really accessible whether you’re looking for a casual meal or want to make more of a night of it.

The butter chicken had a nice kick to it, but was still warm and inviting, with lots of chicken. The bangers and mash were top notch and definitely worth ordering.

The space itself is fun and funky, with lots of character. Even the bathroom has one of those old-school round sinks with the foot pedal, like the ones you used to see in old public schools across Canada. It’s the kind of little detail that adds to the personality of the place. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable too, and overall the space feels relaxed and welcoming.

Our service was friendly and helpful throughout the evening, which made the whole experience even better.

“The Amsterdam Brewhouse is located along the Lake Ontario Waterfront at Queen's Quay West. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area and are open from 11am to late (weekdays) and 10am to late (weekends). Menu features the Amsterdam Brewery label draught beers along with a fairly typical bar food menu. We visited recently during a warm weekend afternoon and were able to be seated immediately. Blonde Lager tasted just fine, artichoke dip was pretty good as well. Prices are a bit high but we found food and drink quality to be fair enough, food portion sizes are good. Venue is quite fun and views of the lake are great. Amsterdam Brewhouse is a fun place, we'd be happy to pop in again during future walks along the waterfront.“
