Had Valentines dinner there last night. The first dinner package was mainly sashimi but the changed it to sushi for us at a reasonable extra cost . The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back. An extra was that the waitress who greeted us was Japanese.
My favorite restaurant in Toronto. The food is as beautiful as it is delicious. The service is warm and attentive without ever being too much. They have creative cocktails and an incredible sake list.
The space is clean and elegant, yet still feels warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place I’d happily come back to with friends, family, or for a date.

Felt elegant eating here. The crazy thing is that the matcha latte I got was probably the best I've had so far. Service was really nice, and they gave us a miso soup on the house because the lunch menu was closing soon. The crispy rice was actually pretty filling on its own, but obviously would have been really good with their other sashimi.

The food is delicious, with notable items like the duck confit with tofu pouch, miso eggplant, and tuna sashimi set. The service is impeccable, and the team puts a lot of thought into every detail. The restaurant has a clean female toilet with a change table and street parking available outside. Overall, MARU Japanese Bistro provides a memorable dining experience with thoughtful preparation and full of flavor.
