“One of the best steaks I have ever tried! Oh, and one of few places in Toronto that play great music. Service is quick and personable. Great place!“

“Can get a teeny bit pricey with cocktails, but in my opinion it's worth it. Cozy friendly environment, their menu has excellent dietary options, and the food is just amazing. We stopped in for late dinner, drinks and dessert after a play at nearby Tarragon theatre, I would highly recommend Chadwick's if you're in this area.
Vegetarian options: Menu appeared to have clearly labeled veggie options.
Dietary restrictions: They adjusted my order with no problem at all (curry with no rice)“

“Since long time twice a week I go to this location at 2148 Queen street east. They are very welcoming, courteous. Take out-dlivery-dining their service always fast. The fries are really crispy, I love their juicy chicken. This is one of the cleanest restaurant in the city. The manager are very friendly and caring. My kids love to be there always. I will definitely suggest my friends to go this location.“

“I usually order take out online. By the time I arrive at the counter, it's either waiting for me or just about ready. The staff who put my meals together recently, did a great job of presentation.
Food was good and the staff were very polite.“

“Amazing level of service on one of their busiest days of the year (Thanksgiving Day) with the house full and line up at the door. Line moved amazingly fast, service was quick, accurate, personable, and preparation of meals were perfect! Even with careful accommodation for my gluten allergy. I don't know how they managed to pull off that level of service with every table in the house filled. VERY impressive!
Dietary restrictions: Readily accommodated gluten allergy. (Understood Celiac and had procedures in place to avoid cross contamination when notified of allergy.)“

“Somehow I ditched Shoeless Joe at the very last second for this. Lol the food really don't look like how it is on the menu.... like there's quite a gap.
Service was.... kinda slow at first... server was missing for a good 3 mins before I got seated. But she was very attentive.
Mash potato is good... chicken was alright, ribs was okay... their house dipping is not to my liking but that's just a personal preference. The garlic loaf is not bad but for $9....makes you think twice.
Verdict: Uhmmmmmm..... not again in the nearest time but it was an experience. At least I can check this off my list.“

“We had the pleasure to try a few treats from Tuschi, as a friend got them for us. We had the Miso Caramel Kabocha Cheesecake. What a balanced sweet treat, treat for the senses. A beautiful crafted gluten-free and vegan dessert. There are so many layers to it, the base, kabocha layer , kabocha creame cheese, whipped cream, and the candied nuts to top it off. The second pastry we tried was a tart and sweet fig tart. It was a very light and creamy texture with a gluten-free almobd base and a fig jam layer in between, topped with fresh figs, blueberries, and rosemary. Loved the beautiful blend of flavors! 😍 One of the savory pastries we got to try was Karepan with a caremalized onion paste filling. Salty and flavourful. The only missing thing was a hot cup of maycha latte or kabocha latte. Would come back for it.
highly recommend.
Vegetarian options: Multiple gluten-free and vegan desserts.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian“

“First time eating at this location and I can confidently say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a Swiss Chalet. It was a bit tricky to find the door (as the usual path from 700 University was locked for the weekend) but we eventually found it after walking a few steps down from University Ave, west side. As soon as you enter, the restaurant has a cozy feel but is still bright due to the ample windows. Everything was clean and in order. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was hot and fresh, especially the Chalet Sauce! Our server Remy was exceptionally kind, pleasant, and attentive to our requests - haven’t had such a great experience service-wise in a while! We really appreciated it and it made a difference in how much we enjoyed our meal. Thank you Swiss Chalet and thank you Remy! We’ll be back soon.“

“The salads we had were good. Pinsa was delicious. The place is nice with a patio. We both realized after that we felt disappointed by the service. A couple employees/owner walked past us as we stood at the door. A minute or two later someone greeted us. Then after paying and tipping quite well the sever didn’t say thank you. Seems small stuff but it’s not inexpensive to go for dinner these days and the small stuff matters more…to us.“

“This was my 1st time here as I was visiting my family in Toronto. The place is a quaint hole in the wall with a lot of street side charm. Entering felt a bit cramp given the setup and size, but wants you get to a table and are being served, you don't feel it. The wait was a bit long, at least 30 mins and I can see why: the food was really good! I got a meal that came with a bit of everything: pancakes, eggs, a biscuit, choice of bacon or sausage, and choice of breakfast potatoes or fruit.
The server was so friendly and welcoming. He assisted us and also offered us some apple fritters which were to die for. The hot chocolate with the house-made marshmallow was yummy. The food didn't disappoint: the pancakes and biscuit were the best I've ever had! Ordered the gravy as well to try and it really was good esp because I've never liked it when I've had it before elsewhere. The food really seemed home-made. My only issue was the potatoes, it had a bit of a frozen taste to it, like I could taste freezer burn or something. Other than that, everything was so delicious. I Def want to come back here when I visit Toronto!
Also parking is on the curb so you pay the meter, but wasn't a hassle to get.“

“I had the "dutty chicken sandwhich"; had a robust jerk chicken seasoning, fried excellently, and a sweetness from the pineapple to contrast. They ran out of the wedges and there was a small mixup with my drink which was absolutely no problem for me but they gave me a Mac n cheese on the house. Nothing but hospitality and kindness from the staff. It may be intimidating to new customers with the loud music but don't be shy! The playlist is great anyways. I think this is a great place to appreciate Caribbean food/ culture so core to the identity of Toronto right in Kensington market to boot.“

“I have been hoping to find a place that has good Caesar salad and I am glad I spotted T.O Dickens. I ordered the Traditional Caesar Clutter with chicken, Apple Crumble Pie (slice) and a Sprite (pop). It's an odd combo but they are add on to a meal. The salad is eighteen dollars so pricey but, honestly I couldn't stop eating it. I am not a big salad person so every now and then I just want it and I was glad that it tasted so good! I was so annoyed when my mother wanted some, lol as I really felt I had it under control. I would recommend others to try it as well. I plan to make another order to confirm it's still good. The Apple Crumble slice was good and a great size. I have not had an Apple Crumble before so I did not expect to enjoy it. I had some vanilla ice Cream at home so with my Ice Cream it was a treat. I heated it up in the oven and some parts got crispy which to me enhances the flavor and texture which was all well for me. I have not had a meal here but if the Caesar Clutter is great then the food should be in the same ball park I hope. I will definitely order again.“

“This is a great little gem in Toronto's Junction neighborhood. The brunch was delicious. We had the specials. Their home fries are the most unique and delicious fries I have ever eaten. “Prior to the Leafs game against Vegas Golden Knights this past week we decided to eat at this restaurant. We were a group of 4. drinks were good, atmosphere was good too.
however, when it was time to pay, our server was not available so another server came by to take our payment. She asked me how much tip I'd like to give and i told her $38. she pulled out the calculator on her phone and said that's only a 11% tip. On the pre-tax total, the tip was 15% which was more than sufficient.
i was going to tell her off, but maybe she doesn't know better or is incompetent.
The owner of this restaurant needs to train their workers on why they shouldn't intimidate or bully customers into paying more tip than they want to pay.
In over 3 decades of visiting restaurant all across Canada, Europe and Asia, I have never had a server pull out a calculator to check the % of tip being offered.
I believe this server needs to re-evaluate:
1. the purpose of a tip in the food services industry
2. who decides on the amount of a tip for a party of 4? the customer or the owner or server?
3. Maybe ask their supervisor for additional customer service training.
4. their future in the food services industry.“

“Cluck me, cluck you. Cluck yeah.
My husband found this place on YouTube or Instagram and we decided to give it a try. Off the beaten path tucked away in a corner of Toronto
Cluck Clucks is the place to be. Big fluffy waffles and crispy fried chicken are among the delights you will find. Although the restaurant is small so you better get there early..you won't be disappointed. We traveled from Peterborough to try this place and we will be back.“
“I had the wonderful experience today at 521 Cafe! I had an amazing frappe that was ice cold, strong and bold. The best one I have had in a very long time! The interior is beautiful, sevice was attentive and it was a cool oasis from the heat!! If you haven't tried this hidden gem then you are missing out! They have a lovely street patio and bar selections were impressive! Bravo!“

“Visited here at the beginning of TIFF and the atmosphere was buzzing. We had fantastic service and great food, both choosing the Canteen Breakfast, a massive portion. At the weekends they do a Mimosa Flight, it would have been rude not to try them. The Watermelon Mimosa was particularly delicious.“

“Service was amazing. Cool atmosphere. They're not even trying with their food though. "Loaded fries" is literally a plate of shoestring fries with a white sauce on them. Nothing else. Also, see if you can find the three curds of cheese in your poutine.“

“I went yesterday to the Sunday brunch, I ventured to go without a reservation and since I arrived the service was impeccable. There was never a time when it wasn’t packed, but this didn’t stop all the staff from being friendly and very attentive.
The food portions are big and the taste us delicious- it was worth waiting those 2hrs, I will definitely be back.
In the pictures you can see French toast, Huevos rancheros and Duck Confit & king oyster mushroom toast.“
