“This place is FANTASTIC-friendly, attentive service, spic and span casual dining area and beautifully prepared Jamaican Fare served up in hefty portions, and in much nicer take out containers than your standard styrofoam, to boot! Also- SMOKED jerk pork?!?? BRING YOUR APPETITE, HONEY!!!! Tdot Jerk is off the chain!!!“
“I highly recommend this Jamaican restaurant for its incredible cuisine the service was impeccable, with the cashier being particularly friendly and helpful and it has a exquisite captivating atmosphere. It's an absolute must-visit for anyone craving an authentic taste of Jamaica.“
“Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a meal at Patois. We ordered the prefixed tasting menu and boy did it deliver! Great variety in the dishes cooled and you could really see the efforts made to fuze Asian and Caribbean cooking. We especially enjoyed the bo lo bao burger and fried chicken. Washed everything down with a cold bottle of Red Stripe. I almost felt like it was my birthday with how much I enjoyed. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!“
“The best Caribbean food I’ve found in Toronto and definitely the area. We love their jerk chicken (with rice and peas or the potatoes) and ox tail, especially the ox tail pasta. Incredible place, friendly people. I recommend ordering in advance to cut down on wait time.“
“Probably the best chicken curry roti I've had since moving to Toronto 6 months ago.Kind of stumbled on this place while walking around the mall. Glad I stopped in.Service was very good. Nice and fast.Their chicken roti is not like a wrap but open faced roti in a bowl with potatoes and a pile of boneless chicken curry piled on. You have to fork and knife it.To me, this is what roti should be like. It's more the caribbean style vs Indian. The flavour was great. Loads of nice tender chicken pieces. Forget all the other places and just go here for your fix.Thank you!“
“An amazing homey place with delicious food. Service is great and the workers are so nice. Beef patties are spectacular.Parking: The parking is almost always available and affordable.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with nice people working there.“
“Highly recommend! Scotthill Caribbean Cuisine is one of my favourite restaurants in the city! I’ve had them cater twice and both times have been blown away. The food is so spectacular, people were coming back for a third serving! The jerk-chicken is a must! The chef and owner, Keith, is amazing. Had such a great experience and received the best service. Many thanks to Keith and the Scotthill team! Will definitely be back with another order soon!“
“I have no idea why I waited so long to visit this gem of an iconic Jamaican restaurant.Today was my first time visiting and let me tell you it won't be my last! The Chicken Roti was amazing! The Roti literally weighed 5 pounds they really stuff it with a lot of chicken and potatoes. And they serve that signature coleslaw on the side as well! The food gets a 100 out of 100!Can't wait to go back to try some more dishes!Well I went back after a couple of days and I got me some Jerk Chicken with Rice & Peas and Fried Plantains! You gotta eat here it's phenomenal and your taste buds will thankyou! Also the customer service is amazing. I really enjoyed chatting it up with the young lady at the counter!Very nice people. The food and the kindness will bring a smile to your face!“

“A Birthday Bash to Remember at The Diner's Corner! Gather 'round, fellow adventurers, as I spin a tale of friendship, reggae, and the most delicious rum punches you've ever tasted!Last night, we celebrated my dear friend Schevon's birthday in style at The Diner's Corner, and let me tell you, it was a night to remember! From the Irie vibes casting a warm glow to the dancehall tunes filling the air, stepping into this restaurant was like stepping onto a sandy beach in Jamaica! But first, a toast to Schevon – a friend whose light shines brighter than the neon signs outside! With drinks in hand and smiles on our faces, we raised our glasses to another year of adventures, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! From oxtail to saucy wings that disappeared faster than you can say "seconds, please," every bite was a symphony of flavor. But amidst the delicious dishes and lively ambiance, it was the company that truly made the night special. Surrounded by friends who feel like family, we laughed, we toasted, and we celebrated Schevon in all her fabulousness. As we bid farewell to The Diner's Corner, our bellies full and our hearts even fuller, I couldn't help but feel grateful for nights like these – where laughter reigns supreme, and memories are made to last a lifetime. Happy birthday, Schevon – here's to many more adventures together!“
“Mary and Magnus are dedicated owners that consistently make sure they are doing their best to serve quality food with amazing service.Rasta Pasta has grown over the years because they have fined tuned their dishes and the community recognizes that. The jerk chicken is out standing! The flavour is on point. Magnus is often found tending the classic barrel bbq/smoker. Mary is always smiling and serving up beautiful & tasty beverages. The one item that is a sure-shot are the stuffed dumplings. Wow! The Jerk Dumpling is the best dumpling I have ever tasted. Amazing.Anyhow, with so many spots to choose from in Kensington Market, Rasta Pasta is a MUST!You will not regret it!“
“My first time here after hearing good things about the price and product. Place was non-stop busy on a mid Thursday afternoon. Take out only., cash or debit only. Very friendly and helpful staff. "Seconds" (I can't tell the difference) are $7.00 for a bag or twelve frozen. I bought two bags because they are truly a bargain. A large variety of Carribean food available but we did not try on this visit. However, a long line of people were getting take-out so they have an excellent reputation. Place is not wheelchair accessible. Only down side is limited parking for their popularity...maybe ten spots maximum. However, they do have a parking security guy in the lot keeping things moving and orderly. Tried they "spicy" version patties when we got home. Absolutely delicious. This will be a regular spot for me. Highly recommend.“
“First time trying this restaurant. When we arrived our contact information was taken and were asked to go to the washroom to wash our hands. Then we were seated. Great customer service, sweet reggae music in the background, nice size portions and everything we ordered tasted good (stew beef with dumplin and green banana, bbq chicken w/ rice and peas and curried shrimp roti. We will be back!“
“Came here the other night for the first time because I was craving oxtail. It did not dissapoint! Flavour and portion size was good. I was also able to get some fried chicken if i waited 10mins and it was WELL worth it.Def my new JA spot for sure since everywhere else has fallen off“
“Beef patty (spicy) was fantastic. The shell was flakey, slightly buttery and had a nice chew. Meat was flavourful and had a bit of spice to it.Portion size for the goat was very generous, to the point of overflowing the container. The goat is cooked really well and breaks apart without chewing. I personally would have liked some more spice to it. Coleslaw was slightly heavy on the mayo.Food travels pretty well so don’t worry about much of a drop in quality for takeout.“
“First experience with this chain and location. Tried it via TGTG, so I got my meal for $7 (which I love, bc I can try the store/food for a great discount). It's a surprise mix with TGTG but I got white rice, chickpea curry, and some sort of chicken? I think it might be a filling. Anyway, all of it tastes great. The rice was a little hard - not sure if it's always like that or end of day, but not a deal breaker. Everything was very flavorful. Chicken was sightly dry, but might be white meat? Still delicious.A delicious, hot dinner with that much protein in Toronto for $7 is a steal. Service was friendly. Definitely an A+ experience. Would I pay $18 for it? Not sure... (I should clarify that it's priced at $18 by TGTG) But again, I'm not usually in downtown Toronto so the price may be fair for this area.“
“The only jamaican caribbean restaurant I go to. Start from coleslaw to rice to jerk chicken I must say it's must go to! I always come and stop by whenever I go near this area. No regret every bit of the food. 100% the lady is so sweet with her smile and great food!!!“
“I got the 1/4 chicken plate, and it was some of the juiciest, most tender, flavorful chicken I have ever had. Literally fall off the bone. Absolutely delicious. The picture doesn’t even begin to do it justice. The gentleman that served me was very kind and gave me a free water bottle as well. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.“
“Went to Fahmee Bakery for the first time even though I shop at the neighbouring No Frills. I had to. It was Jamican beef patty day. Picked up 3 spicy patties and could not be happier. Will have to try their other dishes one day. If you are grocery shopping and need a quick snack, this place does the trick.“
“Tasty food, awesome atmosphere, smallish portions.Ordered bunch of dishes to share.Appetizers. Ackee & saltfish bites were quite delicious, but the fritters didn’t really taste like anything other than plain fried dough.Mains. Jerk chicken was very good, perfect level of spicy. Oxtail was super tender, melt in your mouth, rice and peas were also great. Curry goat was good, but not particularly special. Pan seared snapper fillet was the HIGHLIGHT of the night, big flaky pieces of flesh, sauce was so nice and creamy, vegetables and other toppings paired great.Overall fun and tasty experience. Although I understand why they include 20% gratuity for larger groups, I just personally don’t think a party of 6 was big enough to demand a surcharge.“
