“I had the BBQ chicken, oxtail, cow foot, and rice and peas, and my palate was truly pleased. Every dish was full of authentic Jamaican flavor. The rice and peas were especially outstanding. It tasted just like a delicious home-cooked meal.
If you're looking for genuine Caribbean cuisine, especially authentic Jamaican food, I highly recommend Sweet Spice Restaurant. The food was flavorful, well-seasoned, and satisfying. I'll definitely be back!“

“First time visiting this location as our normal spot was closed. We arrive in late afternoon to order our food as the phones were not being answered. Right away we could order, they were calm and polite even though extremely busy. After ordering, we paid with cash which got us some free chicken wings. FYI try the bbq chicken wings, freaking amazing. Thank you guys for the wonderful food, bye bye old spot. Coconut Breeze is now out spot.“

“My family ordered from UberEats and tried their curry goat, jerk chicken, and oxtail. Amazing portions for the price, everything was fresh and hot too (took about 20 minutes to come to my house and the food was still steaming hot when we opened it). All 3 meats had delicious flavour — the jerk chicken was outstanding and so smokey and reminded me of the jerk from back in Jamaica. The oxtail was super tender and fell off the bone nicely, it’s a bit on the saltier side and deeply savoury but it wasn’t too overpowering. Curry goat was rich, really flavourful and delicious but there were some fatty pieces that I had to remove, wasn’t too much of a problem to me. Coleslaw was sweet and a bit watery but still good, mac salad was good. Steam veggies were good too. Overall, very worth it and will be back! I can tell it’s made with love.“

“I cannot recommend this restaurant more. I ordered catering for an event yesterday for 30+ people. I ordered a large jerk chicken, a large rice and peas, and a small chickpea and potato curry. They also surprised us with a side of coleslaw as well!

I spoke to Charmaine, who was absolutely lovely and made the entire process so easy!

For so many of my family and friends, it was their first time trying jamaican cuisine and they truly enjoyed the food. I have been getting calls all morning from folks who attended the event to highlight how delicious it was and asking about portland jerk!
