We celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday here, and the team went above and beyond to make it special with personalized live music and a cake. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable. The food here is absolutely incredible—nothing less than what you’d get at the best places in New Delhi, India, in terms of taste and quality. Every dish was a delight and added to the wonderful experience. A special shoutout to our server, Meet—he’s an absolute rockstar in hospitality and customer service! His attentiveness and warm demeanor made the experience exceptional. The hospitality industry, especially in the west, needs more people like him. I have no doubt he’ll thrive and excel in this field. Desi Bar & Grill is hands down the most lively pub I’ve experienced in Canada in my more than half a decade here. “I brought some International Visitors from South Korea to taste of African food and Naija Jollof didnt disappoint. The beef suya was excellent with the pepper on it. The jollof (orange) rice was tasty and the fried plantain was soft and succulent and melted in the mouth of the Koreans. That is how they described it. The fufu and vegetable soup and egushi soup was something they would love to know how to make it themselves (importing it to South Korean). FYI, the left over fufu, suya and jollof was packed and shipped to Korea the next day. That should sum up how they liked it all.”

We tried the Amritsari Kulcha and the Lahori Kulcha, and both were amazing - super fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You could really tell they were being made fresh.

A special mention to Anupriya, who was serving us. She was incredibly sweet and kept checking in to make sure everything was good and that we had everything we needed. She even surprised us with some complimentary golgappas, which was such a nice bonus and made the experience even better.
