“The dishes we ordered for our take out order were very delicious, the quantity was so good and so was the freshness of the food. The restaurant called us to know our spice level preferences which in my opinion is very thoughtful and they exactly maintained the spice level we asked for. There was some discrepancy in the bill but it was immediately rectified as soon as we brought it to their notice ,that too on a busy Valentine day eve. ,it was an exceptional customer service which is rare to see and was very impressive.All in all great value for money and delicious authentic Indian food . Golden Fish and Chips in Georgetown delivers a genuinely enjoyable experience that keeps you coming back, with just a couple of small things holding it back from perfection.

The food itself was fresh and tasty — you can tell they're working with quality ingredients. The fish had a satisfying crunch and the chips were cooked well. My only gripe is that the portions came out a little oily, which can feel a bit heavy. A slightly lighter touch with the oil would easily make this one of the best fish-and-chips around.

What really stood out was the staff. From the moment you walk in, the team is warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly — the kind of service that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It goes a long way in making the overall experience a pleasant one.

The ambience is decent and functional — nothing too fancy, but comfortable enough to sit back and enjoy your meal. The one downside is the strong smell of oil that lingers throughout the space, which might be a little overwhelming for some. Better ventilation would make a noticeable difference to the dining atmosphere.

Overall, Golden Fish and Chips is a great neighbourhood spot with good food and even better service. Sort out the oiliness and the ventilation, and this place would be a clear five stars. Highly recommended for a casual, satisfying meal!”

“I had the privilege of going to one of the best restaurants in Georgetown today. The atmosphere and service was top notch! Shoeless Joe’s is a restaurant with a family feel. Truly great food too! Fresh and the chicken tenders are FRESH and not frozen! Burgers and stacked club we also ordered and wow is an understatement. The beer was sooooo good and free refills of pop. “My sister and I arrived at Joe’s Great Pizza one afternoon in late April, 2026, just seeking a little nourishment before visiting our sister in a nursing home in Georgetown. We had not previously been aware of this business but it was strategically located. We were also seeking a place that sold Pepsi which was a request from our sister’s daughter to take to the nursing home for her mother. They had a great special on slices with pop. (and yes … they sold Pepsi!) The owner/server was very friendly and accommodating and the pizza was delicious ❣️I’d highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an excellent meal at a reasonable price. The place lives up to its name.😃 Thank you for the experience.”

“Ask for the original Korean bibimpap and you'll get the genuine flavourful Korean dish at this location run by Korean owners passionate about Korean cuisine. Just adjust the amount of kochujjang (red pepper paste) to your preference.

Whenever I'm in Georgetown, I have bibimpap for lunch and never get tired of it.

They have other options, too: if you want soup, I recommend their comforting and filling udong.

Their bibimbap, however, is the one to try for its genuine taste that almost transports you to Korea.”

The owner (the man who served me has got to be the owner - his attention to detail and care says so) encouraged me to get the panini and I'm so glad I did because it was simply delicious! An added bonus is the fresh fruit on the side. So healthy and true to the name Fit For Life. I ate half the panini before realizing I should leave a review, do the photo only shows 1/2 a panini.”

“Was thinking about taking the fam (2 adults, 2 kids under 12) to the mandarin for dinner. Because the weather I was convinced to order take out instead.

We tried Yong's for the first time. I set my limit at $100 as that was still 50 bucks less than mandarin would've cost us. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

The menu was stacked with options. I chose my mandarin favourites and the 2 items the kids actually eat.. So we got a ton of food, and I'll have lunches for days. The flavour was on point for everything and the portions were excellent.

Pepper steak slices were a bit big for my liking but the flavour was fantastic.

Will definitely be back for our next 'take out' family dinner night.

“Wanted to give a huge shoutout to everyone at Georgetown Thai. I have been wanting GOOD thai food for a while now, and have been craving…. A curry and rice dish- and man did they deliver! The yellow curry was silky and spicy and so yummy. They’re food is so fresh, and reasonably priced. We had leftovers too, for today. And the hostesses + servers were so kind. The chicken Satay was AMAZING. It was cooked perfectly and was so tender. And the mango ice cream didnt taste like fake mango. And the thai puff was so light despite being filled with potatoes! I’m just a bit… blown away by everything lol. It doesn’t happen often, and I wanted to let everyone know! Definitely check them out if you haven’t yet! We will definitely be going again. Both the waitress's and patrons were extremely kind as it was my first time there and I was alone I was made to feel welcome and treated respectfuly!
I will say they could definitely use a few new pool ques lol BUTT the pool tables Free so it kinda cancelles that one out...

“The best fish & chips in town! Always fresh, hot and delicious! The portion sizes are great and the prices are very reasonable. The fish is perfectly battered and never greasy. They have great daily specials and family meal deals. The restaurant is always clean. If doing take away, it’s so easy to call ahead and they’ll have your order ready for your arrival. The owner is so kind and friendly. It’s such a lovely small business and it’s definitely one worth supporting!”

“Come here regularly for lunch. This is the only sushi spot that makes sushi correctly. Sushi is meant to be room temperature and yoyo sushi always makes sure of this. I despise visiting other sushi places where I’m being served sushi that is freezing cold straight out of the fridge, it ruins the taste completely. Yoyo always makes sure the sushi is just right and I’m always given big portions. My order is usually the sushi lunch B and they never disappoint. Highly highly recommend.”
