“Had lunch at Sunset Caribbean Takeout & Catering and tried out their smoked jerk chicken which came with rice and peas and side coleslaw. I really enjoyed this smoked rendition of jerk chicken and the food overall was very flavorful. Also ordered a beverage which included pineapple, coconut, and flaxseed which was also very tasty. If you are in Scarborough, the East of Toronto, make sure to check out this take out restaurant. They are open 12-8 pm Mon-Fri, 8-8pm Sat. They have lunch specials on weekdays and have recently introduced breakfast Caribbean style on Saturdays too.“

“Best oxtail and rice and peas“

“We discovered Good Eats by Julian on Instagram and decided to give it a try for a family dinner. We ordered a variety of items, including the oxtail burgers, jerk chicken meals, and BBQ jerk chicken meals.

The setup is definitely unique—they operate out of a food truck in a GO Station parking lot. Because everything is cooked fresh, be prepared to wait a little while for your order. In our opinion, the wait was worth it.

The standout item for our family was the oxtail burger. My kids haven’t stopped talking about how huge it was and are already asking when we can go back for another one! The meal portions were a good, satisfying size, and everything we ordered was flavorful. If you’re trying to decide, I’d highly recommend the BBQ jerk chicken—it was a family favourite.

Overall, it was a unique experience that exceeded our expectations. Great food, friendly service, prices are fair, and we’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.“

“Place is very small and bright inside but the customer service was amazing. We visited from out of town and order when we were a few minutes away and by the time we got there everything was already ready. The guy running the front desk was very nice taking order and was going back and forth making sure everything was ready and proper for our orders. We got jerk chicken, oxtail and curry goat and some patties. Needs a bit more of a kick of pepper but otherwise great eats.“
