“Amazing food here. Dropped by here before heading to the zoo. Plantains were sweet and juicy. The Ibis Lo Mein and all the proteins with a very delicious chicken leg on top. Really appreciate the Lo Mein was full of fresh veggies as well. Definitely drop by if you want delicious food!“

The normal place I would sometimes get doubles from was closed on Mondays, And of course I seen reggae artist Shenseea on tic toc eating a double in Trinidad, so my big back needed doubles and authentic ones. Anyways I googled and found Amira's about 4 mins away, so I called placed my order and headed over!! When I arrived this food was not ready (did not expect it to be) but when it was OMG the freshest, savory, warmest doubles I have had!! Service amazing... I probably wont make it to Trinidad like Shenseea but this Amira's is where I will forever go now!!“

“Authentic and flavourful dishes, with freshly made roti that you can see being prepared by a team of aunties as soon as you enter. I tried the curry chicken with dhal puri roti, and it was delicious—perfectly spiced and rich. I also had the doubles and it was amazing. The pepper sauce has a nice flavour and kick to it.

The service was excellent; the staff were friendly and efficient. This was my first time at the restaurant, and I felt very welcome.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal. There is no seating area, but if you want to eat in the restaurant, there’s a ledge for you to eat on.

The restaurant is located in a plaza with free parking, but it can get crowded during peak hours, so I recommend visiting early. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!“

“This place is a solid 10 outta 10 and needed to be one of Keith Lee's Toronto stops.

The food and service is giving the best authentic vibes and might even make you a little homesick for Jamaica. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is high. I recommend the ackee and saltfish, the cookup saltish a la carte, and the okra. The cooked good was also really good; proper yam and dumplings (My only complaint is the fried cassava (yucca), fish fritter, and festival. It was really greasy (needs some paper to soak up the excess oil) .

Will definitely be back to try more items!

“Absolute hidden gem ! I walked in and was greeted by the owner who promptly took my order. The food took about 15 minutes to come out.

The large curry chicken roti was massive! The chicken was so fresh and juicy and had spice to it. Every bite of my roti had chicken in it.

You could tell that the roti was hand made from the way it was grilled. Everything smelled so good.

This is definitely my new roti place and everything was so affordable ! For a large roti and an Arizona was $16.95 !

You have to go early for breakfast as they run out quick and don't restock though. “I really like their jerk chicken stuffed patties. One highlight of this restaurant is their coleslaw; it’s creamy and has a pleasant taste.

“Really great authentic tasting Jamaican food. One of the greatest things about Kitchen King is that the quality and consistency is spot on each and everytime. For me this was the best find in years for Good Jamaican food and also costumer service is good too for a change.“

“Been hearing about this place for a while now. Well worth the hype. Best doubles I’ve ever had. Boneless chicken roti was delicious. Paratha and dalpuri both done very well. My new go-to roti spot.

“If you want to try the best doubles in town then this is THE place to find them. They are so flavourful and you can request spice based on your tolerance. Yes, the place can use some renovations but they compensate for the lack of appeal with their delicious food.

While you’re at it you should try out their Sahina as well. I call this place a hidden gem, they never disappoint!! ??“
