We decide to have it catered by Islanderz, and wanted to mark this very special occasion with delicious food as a hallmark of the festivities!! (several aunts and uncles, 90+ years young, in attendance have over the years, served us divine home made meals “from home” - they know great food!) … Nicole was very helpful in the planning for our quantities and variety, and we felt the cost was reasonable and competitive. Our order included red peas soup as our appetizer, and jerk chicken, oxtail and (boneless) curry goat as the main meats. We also ordered rice and peas. Our order was ready at the expected time, and the packaging and labelling very helpful in our at home preparations. Thank you Dwight!! Just opening the containers was exciting due to the aromas - the food was RIDICULOUS!!! Everyone, and I do mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON, raved about the food!!! every bite of each dish was crazy, ridiculously FABULOUS!!! We could not believe how delicious and special everything tasted - perfectly seasoned and cooked, tender meats, fresh spices … clearly everything was prepared with care!!

I really enjoyed this smoked rendition of jerk chicken and the food overall was very flavorful. Also ordered a beverage which included pineapple, coconut, and flaxseed which was also very tasty. If you are in Scarborough, the East of Toronto, make sure to check out this take out restaurant. They are open 12-8 pm Mon-Fri, 8-8pm Sat.
