I love their Rice & Peas served with Curried Goat or Curried Chicken or a meal of Ox Tail. I became allergic to milk , slightly, so I always go with their Rice & Peas which all meals. Their Roti dishes are wonderful including their Chana Roti. My wife is a vegetarian and she loves their Channa Roti.“

Happy I went ,it was my First time here and when I walk in I knew the food would be good from the smell and looks, the place was in a corner of a gas station but don't get scared by this ,it was a great conversation piece (lol).
What was even more pleasing was I felt welcome by Kathy & Cedric such wonderful people had a great conversation with them makes ,feels like family time (lol) .this makes you want to return and keep supporting small businesses for sure. I definitely enjoyed my Veg. Roti and my husband loved his curry goat roti.
Can't wait to come back and try some more amazing food from *KC*.

“The go-to grocery store for West Indian food in Scarborough. The staff are very friendly. The prices are good and they always seem to have what I need. They serve fresh Jamaican food you can order from the counter. They have jerk chicken, oxtail, curry chicken, stew beef, fish (red snapper) rice and peas, dumpling, festival, plantain. It’s all good. A lot of repeat customers from the neighbourhood.“

“If you haven't tried Guyanese style Chinese food, make your way over to Starlite Family Restaurant at Midland and Ellesmere in Scarborough. They've been around since 2013, offering delicious food with generous portions.

I went there recently with friends and we really enjoyed everything. Here's what we had:
• Starlite Chow Mein
• Starlite Vegetables with Beef
• Starlite General Tao Chicken
• Jerk Chicken
• Starlite Spicy Shrimp
• Deep Fried Chicken
• Stir-Fry Duck
• Curry Chicken

It was all delicious! My personal favourite, however, was the duck. I love duck! Other faves include Starlite Vegetables with Beef and Starlite General Tao Chicken. Besides the duck, everything else is Halal.

I also had a very potent rum punch that was a bit too strong for my companions. It was definitely bold but good!

The restaurant was spacious and the service was really good, with dishes coming out fast, and plates being cleared quickly. Drop in to try their food, or visit one of their sister restaurants, Caribbean Cabana (Markham), Hibiscus (Ajax), and Galaxy Event Space (Pickering).

“Everything we ordered was delicious , beef and broccoli , Guyana chicken fried rice,house special chowmein and mix veg with black bean sauce. Our server was very attentive and busy. She was so polite. This is my go too from now. Chowmein reminds me of the Carribean . Big portion ,very serious and polite people working there.“

“I ordered via Uber Eats. The curry shrimp roti was delicious, but I was given an overload of potatoes and a little bit of shrimp. The spicy patty was delicious; however, I wasn’t a fan of the coconut bread. The food came hot, but I was disappointed they forgot to place utensils in with my order. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would order again.“
