“Doubles were solid for the most part but had a slightly weird taste that I havent experienced in doubles at other restaurants. I wish the tamarind sauce and cucumber chutney was spread more evenly across the channa. It was a little messy.

“Our oldest daughter loves their Ox Tail with their baked Mac & Cheese. She eats it every time we or she herself, goes there. I love their Rice & Peas served with Curried Goat or Curried Chicken or a meal of Ox Tail. I became allergic to milk , slightly, so I always go with their Rice & Peas which all meals. Their Roti dishes are wonderful including their Chana Roti. My wife is a vegetarian and she loves their Channa Roti.“

“I had such a great experience here! The doubles are really tasty – the bara is soft and light, and the pholourie is so tender. Everything tastes super fresh, and the tamarind and hot sauce have amazing flavor. The people working here are really friendly and make you feel welcome. I have had the oxtail and ackee and salt fish with food (green banana and dumplings). The oxtail is really good. My friend brought me here promising a great meal. I was skeptical. However, the favour was balanced, the meat was tender, and the gravy was delicious. It was served with rice and peas with mixed greens. Really great meal.
Today, I had the (ital) ackee and salt fish. Not the best but not without merit. I mean sometimes ackee and salt fish has a tendency to be too oily or salty. It ate clean. It tasted like a healthy balanced meal meant for a health conscious person. Not much salt, not over power by oil and seasoning, just clean flavors. I would have liked more salt fish in the dish. I would have liked yam and dashing but was greatful.
Nicey's on a Saturday afternoon is the spot to get a food and sit down with a friend and watch the time pass over good food. While there, a group was celebrating a birthday and there was sufficient pass for them and other patrons without it feeling cramped. I am looking forward to better weather so I can try the patio.
I can't think of a better sit down Jamaican restaurant in Scarborough at this moment - maybe Kitchen king but space there is limited - as is the menu.

“Ital Vital is an absolute must! I had them cater for an event and am beyond happy with how it went! The food was so amazing! We had so many delicious options and everyone loved it. “My wife and I tried Stacy’s Island Flavour Restaurant & Caterers and WOW, everything absolutely slapped. We ordered the oxtail patty sandwich and the jerk chicken poutine, and both were phenomenal.

The meat was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavour in every bite. You can really tell there’s care put into the food. The portion sizes were more than generous, we definitely left full and satisfied.

The jerk chicken had the perfect level of heat. It gives you that authentic kick without being overwhelming, so even if you’re a bit sensitive to spice, you can still enjoy it without regret.

On top of that, the service was so pleasant and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We waited an appropriate amount of time that it takes to make a fresh meal.
