“Doubles were solid for the most part but had a slightly weird taste that I havent experienced in doubles at other restaurants. I wish the tamarind sauce and cucumber chutney was spread more evenly across the channa. It was a little messy.

“Our oldest daughter loves their Ox Tail with their baked Mac & Cheese. She eats it every time we or she herself, goes there. I love their Rice & Peas served with Curried Goat or Curried Chicken or a meal of Ox Tail. I became allergic to milk , slightly, so I always go with their Rice & Peas which all meals. Their Roti dishes are wonderful including their Chana Roti. My wife is a vegetarian and she loves their Channa Roti.“

“Their place is good. Loved the fresh fried dumplings and the jerk pork .. the tender juicy pork I was so sent back by how juicy it was and with oxtail gravy. That oxtail gravy was sooooo flavourful never in my years living in the north york area knew there was a good Caribbean restaurant near me. The flavour is phenomenal. “Had lunch at Sunset Caribbean Takeout & Catering and tried out their smoked jerk chicken which came with rice and peas and side coleslaw. I really enjoyed this smoked rendition of jerk chicken and the food overall was very flavorful. Also ordered a beverage which included pineapple, coconut, and flaxseed which was also very tasty. If you are in Scarborough, the East of Toronto, make sure to check out this take out restaurant. They are open 12-8 pm Mon-Fri, 8-8pm Sat. They have lunch specials on weekdays and have recently introduced breakfast Caribbean style on Saturdays too.“

“Saw a few friends post about Sam’s on IG so I had to try. First off I knew the food was going to be good as soon as I entered the shop because the aroma of that j*** chicken! I got the j*** chicken bowl for me and my bf and we were both so pleased with how flavourful and spicy the chicken was. If you come from a Carribean background you know the disappointment when promised j*** chicken and not getting anything of the sort. We were far from disappointed. Great portion, great price & I can tell the staff is well trained because our server did a quick cash exchange in the middle of making our bowls and she made sure to change her gloves before handling the food again. I’ll be back to try the juices for sure! Can’t wait to see this business thrive.“
