“My first time here using Too Good To Go app, the plate was generous and delicious. I really enjoyed the pasta. I went up the wrong entrance, so I called and they were helpful guiding me to other set of stairs (closer towards highland farms). Noticed a bbq drum stored at the wrong entrance, i can't wait for summertime bbq!!! I had to wait a bit (10-15 min) for the food but it came out hot and delicious!“

“The bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy. However, I was disappointed when I called the front desk for water and the receptionist immediately told me I would have to pay for it, even though I never said I wasn’t willing to pay. It felt like an unnecessary assumption.

The bathroom was also very small, and the shower pressure was almost nonexistent—I was basically showering in a trickle. Overall, a comfortable room, but the service and bathroom could definitely be improved.“

“I recently visited Clockwork for a beautiful tea for a close friend's big birthday celebration. There was a great selection of teas and delicious treats, including gluten-free and nut-free options for those with dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time. Before the tea, I emailed Elise to make sure everything was perfect. She was very lovely and accommodating. The staff members Gemma and Leah were nice but also incredibly attentive, making our celebration even more special. The whole experience was great. I would highly recommend it!“

“Birthday Dinner, Great Food & Live R&B

I went to Reservoir Lounge for my birthday dinner and live entertainment, and it turned out to be a great choice for a Sunday night.

The fish cakes were excellent. As my friend described them, you could “taste the sea,” and she meant that in the best possible way. They were fresh, flavourful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also ordered the pizza with everything on it, the last pizza listed on the menu, and it was so fresh and delicious that we ended up ordering a second one. The lychee martinis were okay, but they weren’t a highlight for me.

The star of the evening was Xavier Solis. He was an amazingly charismatic singer and performed a fantastic selection of old-school soul and pop hits. He even serenaded me with “Happy Birthday,” which made the night especially memorable.

The atmosphere has the feel of an old speakeasy, with a low ceiling, intimate red lighting, a small stage, and a lot of character. There was also plenty of room to dance, which is exactly what some people in the audience did once the music got going.

Overall, we had a great experience. Excellent food, strong live entertainment, and an atmosphere that feels different from the usual Toronto restaurant. I highly recommend Reservoir Lounge for a Sunday night out, especially if you want dinner, live music, and the option to get up and dance.“

“I’m going to start by saying the song selection is what got me. We kept thinking of random tracks and somehow they were there, even the older ones people usually joke about and never find. That made the whole room feel loose right away. Also helped that the mics sounded full instead of harsh, so even bad singing came out kind of charming. The place looked tidy too, which matters more than people admit when you’re passing microphones around 🎤“

“Stopped in a couple weeks ago on a slow Tuesday evening and got a great window seat with nice natural light for photos before the room filled up. The bartender walked me through their whiskey flight without being pushy and actually remembered my order when I came back for a second round. Their short rib was cooked perfectly and plated in a way that made it almost too pretty to eat. The whole vibe is dim and moody but not dark enough to ruin your shots, which I appreciated as someone who's always fussing with my camera settings.“

“This is a MUST GO TO Restaurant. I went for breakfast on March 20/23. My experience started with the best service from General Manager Gary Anthony. He was friendly, informative, and fast. The breakfast menu has everything. I love Eggs Bennie. While my style was not on the menu, Gary made it happen anyway. THE BEST EGGS BENNIE EVER! Gary recommended the Banana/Orange/Strawberry juice (it says fresh on the menu). I asked if it was "that grocery store brand" that shall not be named here. He said NO, we made it fresh from real fruit in the blender. It was like a smoothie from heaven. I will return often. While I live about 30 - 40 k from this restaurant (I had an appointment near it that morning) - I will be returning again and often. Next time I'm bringing my wife - She'll love it. Thank you Gary.“

“We went to the bar yesterday and loved how clean it was—no weird smells at all! The staff were super friendly. When we first walked in, the music was pretty loud, but they quickly turned it down for us, which was nice. They have karaoke too, and the sound system is awesome. “Great place to play Billiards its really clean and they use disinfectants to clean the tables and everything else. I enjoyed my time here even before the pandemic and the waiters and staff are great to. The food and drinks were great. Friends liked the place to. The karaoke machine had awesome selection for English, K-pop and other languages! I will say the microphones didn’t work at first through first 3 songs we did. The dart machine on our room had only one dart that wasn’t broken so if you wanna have people playing the darts you should fix that for sure. And the washrooms were pretty smelly in my opinion. “We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the ambience and attention to detail at the Broadview. It was beautifully remodeled, but still had unique historic detail and touches everywhere. Our room was perfect and included a record player and a vinyl library on our floor! I appreciate things like the well stocked mini bar and quality toiletries. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. There was a water shut down issue on the street that was completely out of the hotels control and they compensated us with a discount, even though it was not their fault. It had really cozy and charming Christmas vibes too! We cannot wait to go back.“

“I’ve been coming here for years and realized I’ve never left a review so…I’ve always loved the atmosphere here, with its authentic Caribbean feel. Their pina coladas are to die for, the chicken rotis are super yummy and the servers friendly. And on tonight when we were here, the owner, a really lovely guy, took the time to come and introduce himself to us. Definitely recommend.“
