“I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place definitely earned one. It’s owner-operated, and you can tell how much pride he takes in both the food and the customer experience. He was incredibly welcoming, took the time to make recommendations, and genuinely cared that I enjoyed my meal.

The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and exactly as recommended. It’s rare to find service this personal these days, and it made the whole experience even better.

If you’re looking for great food and want to support a local business run by someone who truly cares, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s been my go-to since I’ve discovered it and will definitely be back.

“So thrilled to finally have a quality j*** joint in the hood. Ox Tail is perfectly seasoned & cooked. Curry Goat to die for. I love Wanda’s J*** pork. It’s real spicy. She does a great cook on the her chicken as well. I haven’t had a meal that I can kvitch about. Even the fish is tasty & tender. Sides are perfectly cooked & if ya want it hotter ask Wanda for their hot sauce !!! Yikes Prices & portions are reasonable. I still can’t believe that a joint like this exists in a burb like Clarkson ….“

“If you have never been to Mysore/Bangalore in Karnataka, India, then don't worry, you can experience the same taste at Mysore Darshini. It is a small eatery, very simple decor. They have both veg and non-veg options to choose from. Their medu vadas are a class on its own. My favourite are the dosas which are cooked to perfection. My kids love the mutton dishes which are very flavourful. We have tried many items and each dish tastes amazing. Shailendra is the owner and chef and takes pride in his dishes. Each item is brought to the table piping hot. We can't wait for our next visit once the lockdowns are lifted. Shailendra definitely makes us feel at home.“

“Stopped in to satisfy a fried chicken craving. Ended up getting a fired chicken and jerk chicken half n half combo on beans and rice. Serving was good size for $22. The chicken was lovely and moist with great flavours. They added a sweet kind of plum sauce with the fried chicken. Haven't seen that before but loved it! Gave me a side of coleslaw also and it was so creamy. Not watery lettuce like you get in a lot of places. All in all. Top marks 👌“

“I learned over the years carribean spots customer service is hit or miss, theres bad days and good days, I have not been here in awhile cause its 1hr out of my way I was passing through and foods still good pepper sauce is good. Probably one of the best jerk porks I have compared to other spots overall.“

“This is definitely a little Hidden Gem I must have passed by this place many times. So glad I noticed it on my way to Shoppers Drug Mart. Definitely some of the best oxtail in the city it was literally fall off the bone melt in your mouth. Owner was super nice you can tell he puts love into the food definitely going to be a regular here. I came right before closing so he ran out of coleslaw so instead he gave me watermelon which was absolutely incredible“

“I had the BBQ chicken, oxtail, cow foot, and rice and peas, and my palate was truly pleased. Every dish was full of authentic Jamaican flavor. The rice and peas were especially outstanding. It tasted just like a delicious home-cooked meal.

“First time visiting this location as our normal spot was closed. We arrive in late afternoon to order our food as the phones were not being answered. Right away we could order, they were calm and polite even though extremely busy. After ordering, we paid with cash which got us some free chicken wings. FYI try the bbq chicken wings, freaking amazing. Thank you guys for the wonderful food, bye bye old spot. Coconut Breeze is now out spot.“
