“I was very impressed. Being of West Indian descent, I can honestly say I’m not always used to such warm service—but this was the complete opposite. Everyone greeted us with huge smiles and made us feel incredibly welcome. Myself and two guests ordered the oxtail, and it was a 10/10. The portion size was excellent, perfectly seasoned, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Thank you, Suzie’s!“

“So thrilled to finally have a quality j*** joint in the hood. Ox Tail is perfectly seasoned & cooked. Curry Goat to die for. I love Wanda’s J*** pork. It’s real spicy. She does a great cook on the her chicken as well. I haven’t had a meal that I can kvitch about. Even the fish is tasty & tender. Sides are perfectly cooked & if ya want it hotter ask Wanda for their hot sauce !!! Yikes Prices & portions are reasonable. I still can’t believe that a joint like this exists in a burb like Clarkson ….“

“Today we had the food truck come to our work site for a. celebration. The service was good the food was wonderful and the portion size oh my God you need two people to eat it. The owner is fantastic pleasant and such a wonderful man. I would recommend them anytime. Except on Sundays which they are closed. Please visit them you will not be disappointed.“

“Came for the cricket, stayed for the Roti! While on a cricket trip to Toronto I felt the urge to find a good Caribbean chicken roti as they are impossible to find where I live in Manitoba.
This place nailed it from the minute I walked in! The chutney soca on the speaker; a bunch of Guyanese dudes watching cricket and the world famous Elderado rum on the shelf. The first night I stayed for a stag beer and a chicken roti. It was delicious. I couldn’t resist so I came back the next night and took my chicken roti on de run. Still delicious! This place reminds me of something you would find in the heart of Georgetown. I’ll be back to try the egg ball next time!“

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place definitely earned one. It’s owner-operated, and you can tell how much pride he takes in both the food and the customer experience. He was incredibly welcoming, took the time to make recommendations, and genuinely cared that I enjoyed my meal.

The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and exactly as recommended. It’s rare to find service this personal these days, and it made the whole experience even better.

If you’re looking for great food and want to support a local business run by someone who truly cares, I highly recommend checking this place out. It’s been my go-to since I’ve discovered it and will definitely be back.

“Haven't been here in many years and decided to drop by to grab some lunch. I decided to get the large Ox tail on rice and peas with coleslaw. Everything was delicious, nice tender meat. A little too much bones to meat portions. That's why they got 4 stars. Otherwise everything was perfect. Nice rice and peas, the coleslaw was perfect. Not too hard and not too soft. “I am so grateful for this restaurant and the people who run it. My dad was a longtime customer who would stop by after work at least once a week. Recently, he's taken ill and is struggling to enjoy his favourite foods. The other day he asked me to specifically pick up a chicken roti from Roti Stop because he missed it so badly. The woman on the phone was super helpful and had my order ready by the time I requested. I had to puree everything, of course, but it made my dad so happy to taste one of his favourite meals again! “A hidden gem in Mississauga I came across by accident. The restaurant had an offer on Skip the Dishes for free delivery over $30, a late night special. I checked out the reviews and decided to give them a try. Being a Guyanese girl myself, our standards for authentic Guyanese Chinese food is very high. And we tend to already have our usual go to spots for these dishes. But boy was I surprised and in luck! Just opening the fried rice box and the smell alone, I knew that I was in for a huge treat! The special fried rice is served with crispy fried chicken on top. It was exceptional and the chicken was juicy and tender inside and very crispy on the outside. I also ordered the pepper wings. They were very well seasoned, spicy and extra crispy. I was shocked that both dishes were still piping hot and super crispy despite my home being almost 15 minutes away from the restaurant. I also ordered a few shrimp rolls, that were also very crispy and delicious! If you’re looking for the real deal authentic Guyanese Chinese food in Mississauga, definitely check them out! I’m so happy I found this spot and will be back!“

“If you have never been to Mysore/Bangalore in Karnataka, India, then don't worry, you can experience the same taste at Mysore Darshini. It is a small eatery, very simple decor. They have both veg and non-veg options to choose from. Their medu vadas are a class on its own. My favourite are the dosas which are cooked to perfection. My kids love the mutton dishes which are very flavourful. We have tried many items and each dish tastes amazing. Shailendra is the owner and chef and takes pride in his dishes. Each item is brought to the table piping hot. We can't wait for our next visit once the lockdowns are lifted. Shailendra definitely makes us feel at home.“

“I love reading reviews before I go to places and this place had a 3.7 star. This place is much better than 3 7. I had jerk chicken on rice and peas with coleslaw. The jerk chicken was definitely Spicer than i'm used to but still good. Probably the best rice, peas and coleslaw that I've had, was so good and perfect. Helped balance that heat too. The lady at the counter was very kind and friendly. My juice was not expired like the last post I read, the expiry date says 2027-12-10.
