“This is undisputed the greatest shawarma on the west side of the city. You don’t come here to get a wrap, you come here to get the most delicious shawarma experience that comes on a paper plate. You look at the interior and the old signage and you think you’re going to have a bad time. But this is exactly what you want from a place that’s been open since the 80s.

Please get the chicken shawarma plate, sit down and you won’t regret it. Hands down the best in the West it is not close anymore.“

“This place is a sure gem! Everything from the top notch service to the clean and neat environment, to the exquisite desserts. We were so impressed. I had the 'Fruitmania' and it was very good. It was the first time trying ashta and the more I ate it, the more I fell in love with it. It was perfectly paired with the strawberry and mango juice. The right amount of sweetness! “One of the loveliest places in Toronto to have lunch or spend an afternoon reading. The prices are extremely affordable, service is very quick, and the cafe is owned by the kindest gentleman and his pet bird. There are always the newspapers of the day available to read at your table and sunlight streaming in through the big windows. Arabesque is one of my favourite comfy places to stop in for a falafel wrap and I recommend it to everyone!“

“One of the Best shawarmas I had in Toronto. It is meaty and saucy - they way I like it. Love that the have a hotdog sausage in the shawarma. I ordered the sweet potato fries too - which were also great The meat is tender and fresh - seems like you are eating thighs but it’s actually chicken breast. Highly recommended“

“Absolutely loved the chef’s menu option - so many delicious signature dishes to try. We started with a selection of dips and yummy bread with zaatar spice. Then delicious salad with persimmon, unbelievable tuna tartar in lettuce wraps, beet salad that was to die for. And finally - branzino grilled to perfection and a rack of lamb. We finished off with an incredible pistachio desert that was not too sweet and just the perfect end to a beautiful meal. The drink recommendations were excellent too. Healthy, beautifully-presented meal and the quantity was generous for $100/pp. Wonderful service and atmosphere! Highly recommend.“
