“Love them! Unpretentious spot for delicious wine (by the glass, half or full bottle), cute patio, and delicious empanadas. They import great wines as well - good spot to grab a bottle to go (especially natural wines) that you can’t find at lcbo.“

“Located right in the Financial District, Local Only is surrounded by all the energy and buzz of downtown, and honestly, I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. There’s something so nice about sitting outside on a beautiful sunny afternoon, sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying a tray of fresh oysters on the patio. It’s such a simple combination, but it makes for a really enjoyable afternoon.

The menu is pretty approachable overall, and I found most of the dishes easy to enjoy. My personal favorites were definitely the fries and the burger — hihi, I could honestly go back just for those. 😂 The food isn’t overly complicated, so it’s a good option if you’re looking for something casual and easy to share with friends.

One thing I really like is that they offer Happy Hour, including 50% off fresh oysters, which makes it especially worth checking out if you’re an oyster lover. Considering the location, I also think the prices are fairly reasonable.

The main thing to keep in mind is that the restaurant can get quite busy, especially during popular hours, and they don’t take reservations, so you may have to wait for a table. I’d recommend coming a little earlier if you want to avoid the busiest period.

Overall, I really enjoyed the patio, the lively Financial District atmosphere, and the oysters. It’s a great spot for a relaxed afternoon drink and some casual food — especially when the weather is nice. Definitely worth stopping by for Happy Hour! 🥂🦪
