First of all, the atmosphere is so reminiscing of small neighbourhood cafes in Lisbon, where everyone speaks Portuguese, watched football and have a pleasant conversation with basically every visitor.Secondly, food. One of the best places in Toronto in terms of the ratio of the portions’ size, taste and price. It’s a more relaxed vibe.I had the grilled calamari appetizer and the veal for my main. Our group also went with the server’s recommendations (including my choose to get the veal). We were all happy with what was recommended.They brought us some bread but it was toasted and really hard. I didn’t love that. The food took a bit and was nice but not the most beautiful. It was very tasty though!Our server was incredibly nice and our glasses were never empty. She took extra care when splitting the bill for us and we had a great time.“

The convenience store side of peppers is good as well, though it's on the pricey side given it's more hip vibe compared to a regular corner store. The menu has an excellent selection of fish & seafood prepared in many variations, not to mention fish is flown in from Portugal. The staff are attentive and the maître d as well as hostess provide a refined level of service . I thoroughly enjoyed Grilled filet of Grouper cherry tomato, jalapeño salsa and a Portuguese beer . The food was delicious and delectable.This is definitely on my list of restaurants to have a romantic & elegant dinner with my wife.“
