“Uptown Churrasqueira is a nice place to eat. They serve yummy chicken and fresh veggies. The chicken was a little cold, and they could have used more sauce (I asked for extra sauce), but it was still cooked well. The veggies were really fresh and tasty. There isn’t a lot of seating, so be prepared to take it on the go!I think it's a good spot to grab a bite, so I would give it five stars. You might want to try it if you're in the mood for some tasty chicken and veggies.I will add though, the area is hard to get in and out of due to the Finch traffic, but if you’re willing to brave it, then you’ve got a good chance at enjoying this place the same way that I did.“

“Super food. Fresh and all proteins are juicy and properly cooked. Potatoes awesome. Little tarts awesome. Bread awesome. Olives awesome.
Service. Generally friendly but when it’s very busy, unless you’re a large group, it’s sometimes suffers.
Returned in Jan 2026 - update. Had their breaded filet of sole. This is a hidden gem! The fish is freaking fantastic!!

Atmosphere. Fair. Family style with maybe a slight bit nicer. Often can find entertainment on weekends so call in advance. Reservation recommended regardless if size of group

“Not all portugese grills are the same _ Firstly when you walk into this establishment you notice how clean it is _ no matter what time you walk in _ its spotless unlike some other restaurants where the first thing that hits you is the uncleanness _ Lavrador's Bbq open kitchen is huge and the place has been there for a long time _ but the massive overhead exhaust systems grills and ovens are extremely clean and new looking _ always shiny _ hot table as well (which contains and displays some of the tastiest food ive had if not the tastiest) always fresh and kept at proper temperatures _ next thing you see is Linda the owner coming out from the back walking towards you with a smile if she is not already serving another customer _ always friendly _ never a long face _ even though she might be exhausted near the end of a long day from all the cooking cleaning and serving (not to mention the heat) she is very professional and does most of it herself _ not to take anything away from her helper _ also the variety of food should be noted _ she has the main dishes every day Like the chicken _ potatoes _ rice _ fish which is all extremely tasty but she also throws in some other dishes that you will find on certain days like chineese style stir fry rice and lasagna _ stew with potatoes peas and pork_ fava beans,roast beef roast pork cod fish stew,cod fish and potato pie if that's your thing _ and where else can you get a huge turkey drum stick and feel like a king _ also her home made corn bread is amazing_ and for what you get in regards to quality of service_ quality of atmosphere and quality of most importantly the food the prices are unbeleivable _ I havent tried all of the dishes yet but I plan to _ im on my way there now

“Found this restaurant yesterday after an appointment at Humber River hospital . We enjoyed half chicken dinners accompanied by Rice potatoes and Salad . The chicken was cooked on the grill to perfection .The salad was simple but delicious . It felt like a warm home cookjed meal on a cold winters day . The staff were welcoming and friendly and our waitress was attentive to our every need . Ill be back . Thanks“

“Very nice venue with art and decor. Winterlicious Apps and main dish (steak) were a little too salty in my opinion. Noise level was awful with the club next to us. All we heard were vibrating sounds. Insulation of the venue itself was quite poor; cold winds seeping through the walls. We ate dinner with our coats on. Not ideal. The most they could've done was offered us a free coffee.“

“I went to Gallos after work one day for the very first time. I got recommended by family to check them out. I didn’t realize they were closing up and I couldn't believe how kind the owner was who stayed open just to accommodate and wait for me to get there. Loris was so kind to me and made my first time trying gallos so special. He treated me like a part of the family and his mom was so sweet as well. The food was amazing and I loved the chicken, the rice and potato’s. We will definitely go back for the food as we loved it! He even sent me home with some delicious tarts. Thank you Loris for treating us with such kindness. I absolutely loved the food and enjoyed every bite!“
