“chung chun is the BOMB — i can’t believe i haven’t tried it until now. do yourself a favour and walk in , and don’t be intimidated by all your options — the staff are very helpful in recommending the best combinations of sauces and toppings. both of the rice dogs i got were super delicious, crispy, hot, and hefty. the batter was the perfect thickness and stickiness, and the saltiness of the meat/wiener was balanced really well by the sweet, salty, tangy, and some spicy sauces. the honey butter also gave it a rich buttery undertone. also it i would note that the half beef / half mozzarella one is literally UPPER HALF cheese (but like super cheesy and melty and warm and loaded — this was so good) and LOWER HALF beef; it’s not actually mixed together.

if you’re going to get a side, PLEASE get the cheese balls. they were like chewy mochi balls with a mild mozzarella cheese filling and sweet, herby powder sprinkled all over. they were super hot and fresh as well.

It's one of our regular spots in the neighbourhood to have a delish local lager (or three, who are we kidding, right Dave?!) a munchie and chill on one of the best backyard patios in the city. “My colleagues and I got burgers and fries and onion rings. The burgers were solid, great taste and cooked well. Onion rings were nice and crispy. Not soggy like some other places. My colleague said the fries were not great though. All in all a pretty solid run of the mill burger place. Would gladly come back if I’m in the mood for another burger“

“Tried Chungchun Rice Hot Dog at Bloor West for the first time today after a workout with my friend, and it was a great first experience! I had never tried a Korean rice hot dog before, so I decided to go with the recommendation from Hina, who was serving us. She suggested the beef & mozzarella hot dog along with her recommended sauces, and it honestly did not disappoint.

The combination of the crispy outside, beef, and melted mozzarella with the sauces was something completely new for my taste buds, and I really enjoyed it. Hina was also super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

Definitely glad I tried something outside my usual food choices. Will be back to try some of the other options! 🌭🔥“
