“The carbonara is a difficult dish to get just right, and they knocked it out of the park. I had to write the review as soon as I finished it because it left such a strong impression. I do wish that there was more pancetta though, it was the highlight of the dish.“

The Food Dudes Caterers • $$
24 Carlaw Ave #2, Toronto

“The Food Dudes provided extremely exceptional and professional service. Camila was the representative for our wedding and she was very flexible and accommodating. She paid attention to all of the details and executed cocktail hour, dinner service and late night eats flawlessly. Aside from the amazing service leading up to the wedding, I would say that the food is just as good, or maybe even better! The beef filet was delicious! Our guests couldn't stop talking about the dinner. They also have very good vegetarian options as well! I would 100% recommend Food Dudes if you are looking for event catering. As a recent client, we were very much satisfied with everything and you won't regret booking them for your event!“

“I was a PG Clucks person for years, but recently they changed their recipe in an apparent (successful) pivot to mediocrity. Turned to Tokyo Hot as a replacement. While the empty dining room gave off post-apocalyptic vibes, the staff were super nice – even threw in a free add-on I was entitled to but failed to notice in the ordering app. The food itself was very tasty. Not sure it beats Clucks in their prime, but pretty damn close. I'll be back!“

“Downtown Toronto right under the CN tower. We are here after going to a show at the convention centre. Wonderful family business, friendly and prices are amazing. We order two hot dogs and fries with two pops came out to be $30. Best hot dog you will ever eat, the taste was so flavourful and it was huge. Honestly I could eat a bucket of those crispy, melt in your mouth fries. So glad we stopped for lunch here“

“Pros: interesting burgers. Got a chance to try the Big Jane, which is a meat lovers delight with 3 types of meats. The Red burger, which is like a spicy deluxe burger. And loaded fries (its not on the menu, but you can ask for it). The fries were crispy, which is essential, and they delivered on that.

Cons: the salt content seemed to be on the salty side. It wasn't overbearing, but it was noticeable. The 4oz smash patties are a bit on the small size and we're almost invisible (flavor wise) in those burgers.

Overall: definitely worth a try if youre in the area and craving burgers, especially those 2 burgers that I mentioned.“
