“We love the empanadas at the Real Empanada Corporation! They are absolutely delicious (even my three year old is obsessed with them). My favourite is the chicken although the cheese is a very close second. My husband loves the beef. We have been buying them at the Connon’s Farmers Market in Waterdown and we go every Saturday we are in the area specifically to buy the empanadas. The customer service is fantastic and we hope to be able to visit any other farmers markets they are available at in the future. I am currently planning a day to drive an hour to Toronto to visit their physical store location for more precooked frozen empanadas (because an hour drive is well worth it they are that good!).“
“This place is great! Portion sizes are quite generous and the food is delicious! I asked our server what she would recommend and she said the Bandeja Paisa and boy was I happy I listened to her. I also got a tamarindo drink which was also very tasty. Our group of 4 were all very impressed by the food and we will definitely be going back to try more dishes!“
“Absolutely DELICIOUS, I was so happy to try 3 different flavors. They were all tasty, the hot salsa is such a good condiment for them too. I liked them so much I even bought more to take home. I don't live in the city, but this certainly is one of the places I will visit next time I'm in Toronto. Thanks again for delicious “
“Columbus Bakery has always been my comfort food place since I came from Colombia 15 years ago.I always find great baked goods when feeling homesick. My favourite are pasteles de pollo, empanadas de queso, pandequesos and almohabanas. The staff is always corteous and friendly. It feels amazing to speak with people from back home.Unfortunately, the dining-in space is very limited. The coffee is not that great considering that it is a Colombian coffee shop.Vegetarian options: You can find vegetarian options and gluten-free friendly items.Dietary restrictions: Although there are gluten-free friendly baked goods, there's still a risk of cross-contamination if you have a wheat allergy or suffer from Celiac Disease.“
“We were recommended Rincon Paisa and I can say they food was delicious. I had the sancocho and my friend ordered the bandeja paisa. The portions are big and the taste is just like home. The restaurant is small and can get busy, but they are quick and the food came out pretty fast. I would highly recommend this Colombian restaurant!“
“FANTASTIC empanadas ??? Highly recommend their cheese + beef empanadas!!! Hot, fresh, crispy, and juicy! Coffee was great too. Great atmosphere. Very attentive, patient, and friendly wait staff even on a busy day! popped in for family day. 10/10 we will be back ?Vegetarian options: Cheese empanadas were so epic. Will make any vegetarian so happy!“
“A local, small, and homey restaurant. Visited with a friend on a weekend around dinner time – neither of us are Colombian nor speak any Spanish so we felt a touch out of place when we first arrived. However, the staff were very kind and made us feel welcomed which we greatly appreciated. We got some empanadas, the bandeja montañera / paisa, and a red / orange rice dish with seafood (that I forgot the name of). The bandeja paisa was solid but not outstanding compared to some others that I’ve tried. The rice dish with seafood though was fantastic and very flavorful. I loved it! Overall, I would go back for their seafood dish and to try some of the other things on their menu.“
“You will be wondering why 4 out of 5 when everything else is 5 out of 5, well, when you are paying the only option is e-transfer, basicallu you can not go if your method of payment is through credit card..., and there is no previous notice of it.“
“Came to have dinners with friends on Saturday. This is my tgird times to this restaurant. Great to know they open late on the weekend. We have large Oxtails soup and Carne Asada. Dishes are big portion and tasty especiallythe soup, oxtail is cooked tender. We also ordered empadas and Carimanolas. I really recommend Ecuadorian empadas and Carimanolas especially the cheese, it's really good.Drinks should try the coconut lemonade, it's too sweet to me but my friend loves it.“
“The best empanadas I've had in a while! We ordered three empanadas ($3.75 each, with bulk discounts available), which were delicious and flavourful; the empanadas are gluten-free, and there are vegetarian options. There are also yuca fries, fried plantain, arepas, and several sweets on the menu. The store also sells frozen tamales, black pudding, empanadas, arepas, and other food products. You can order online for pick-up or delivery or walk-in.Accessibility: There is a ramp to enter the store.“
