As someone who's a little hesitant walking into new queer spaces, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the bartenders made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. We ended up chatting for quite a while, and they struck that perfect balance of being friendly, warm, and never pushy.
The patio is absolutely gorgeous and has such a relaxed vibe that it's easy to lose track of time. They ended our night with a thoughtful gesture that we'll remember for a long time, and it perfectly reflected the kindness and hospitality we experienced throughout the evening.

We recently had the incredible opportunity to premiere Geri Atrick 4 Mayor, our new television series now airing on Bell Fibe TV1, at Woody’s, and I genuinely could not have imagined a better place to celebrate it.

From the moment we arrived, Dean and the entire Woody’s team made us feel completely welcome. They didn’t simply give us a space to hold a premiere, they helped make the night feel special.

And a huge shoutout has to go to Ryan behind the bar. Ryan was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, attentive, funny, professional and somehow managed to keep everything moving while making everyone feel looked after. That kind of hospitality can make or break an event, and Ryan knocked it out of the park.

There is also something pretty meaningful about premiering a queer Canadian television series in a place that has been part of Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community for so many years. Woody’s isn't just somewhere you go for a drink or a night out. Places like this hold our stories, our celebrations, our friendships and a whole lot of memories.

Now Geri Atrick gets to be a tiny part of that history too.
